I hated seeing the beautiful lavenders and purples disappear behind gesso or modeling paste. But it is fun to watch you daring to keep adding more and more to your work to see what will happen.....

I agree, the first layer was beautiful, but, wow, the finished piece is just fantastic. I will never throw away my inky wipes again! Loved this, and the music :)

I'll admit it hurt something fierce when you covered up the beautiful first layer but it turned out fantastic. It looks like outer space with different planets and their moons. Very ethereal. Thanks so much.

Such fun. I love all the color, all the true texture as well as visual texture (especially with clean up rags), the repeated pattern with modeling paste and the stencil, and most of all the spheres/circles were dynamic. Finally, the contrast of color with the highly pigmented was gold was surprising, and as was getting into the actual color...it was gone! Then back again in a watercolor form, than muted...that is all part of the process...isn't it? The final product was quite a discovery. Thank you for ss

Your mixed media is wonderful. It was just too fast. No explaining as to what you are using in each layer. Even when you show some of the items they are on for a second and I cannot find out what they are. It was a speedy demonstration of watching someone work. However, the final product is beautiful.

Hi, and thank you so much for your comment. RU-vid has an option to slow down the speed of the video. Just click the little wheel, down on the right corner, then click speed, and then 0.5 Hope this helps. I adore this, but as a mixed media artist myself, and believe me I have a real struggle with this, I can never handle a fabulous artist like yourself covering up your beautifully coloured first layer. Those colours were glorious. I was so sad to see all your planning and hard work be taken away from view. Promise me you won't take away such glorious colours again? lol! xxx

Oh my gosh - I am going to save all of my color washed baby wipes - they make wonderful background. Your journal pages are gorgeous, as always, and thanks for sharing that very cool technique. Such an awesome video!

Thank you Michelle! The baby wipes are just the ones I am using to wipe off the excess paint or sprays. I never throw them away, I dry them and keep them for collage. 😊 😘

Hi Sharon, sorry I missed your comment, yupo paper is a synthetic Japanese paper, very smooth and much fun to work with, especially when using alcohol inks or watercolours ❤️xoxo

I think I would have loved this - but I have impaired vision and couldn't reac the captions fast enough, and I really like to see things in real time and hear the artist's description. The world is beautiful.

In real time she would have to make a video 4 hours long. That is why you have to edit. Movies are done the same way! You can't do complex pages like that in real time for the audience.

You "over work" the project and the materials....you covered the beautiful background you laid, then painted that strip pf plastic 5 times!!! A waste of produce and time! I learned what NOT to do!

Dear Laura, art is freedom, freedom of expression, exploring new techniques, experimenting and yes, even the freedom of changing your mind until you are pleased with the finished artwork. I appreciate taking the time to write this comment and I am happy it wasn't a total waste of time after all if you did learn something... One more word, about the materials, if you don't use them if you don't experiment and play with them, THEN it's a big waste indeed, because this is the only way to learn and grow. Regards, Sanda
