Discover Scuba Diving or DSD in Isla Mujeres, Mexico 2021. DSD is a perfect way to find out if scuba diving is for you or not. For us, it was a total win win all around and we're ready to get Padi certified.
DSD is a 2 tank dive in the waters off of Isla Mujeres. Our first stop is the MUSA underwater museum where you can see hundreds of sunken concrete statues. This museum was placed here to help preserve the reef due to over populated dive tours. It is used to break up the groups from over crowding the reefs and to give divers something cool to check out. It's also developing reefs on the statues which in turn is helping the ecosystem as well.
Our second dive spot is the Machones Reef National park. The reefs are gorgeous and full of marine life. We spent about 30-45 minutes under water at each dive location and were accommodated with a dive master who guided our tour. He also made sure that we safe and were able to follow his directions. There's a lot of sign language used underwater.
Please drop us a comment if you have any questions about this dive excursion and be sure to subscribe to our channel for more awesome videos.

I've been scuba certified for over 20 years and I love it. Recommend getting certified locally in the US with a reputable dive shop. My wife was certified in Jamaica and they definitely cut some corners. If you go back to Mexico, Cozumel has the best diving in the Yucatan.

Thanks for the advice! We’ll be getting certified in Florida luckily and next time we go back, we’ll definitely dive in Cozumel!
