Beautiful ships on the river.....that one cruise ship looking vessel Bore....it reminds me of the old Greek cruise line...Epirotiki....maybe just the colors. Love seeing older ships still in existence...Thanks for posting.
It is a great traditional looking ship! It acts now as a hostel and cafe and is permanently moored at the top of the river there just before the cruise and ferry port. I love the look of those old style liner / cruise ships! Thanks as always fro watching and taking time to comment. I always really appreciate it.
Yes, it was very helpful and interesting! By the way: word “Turku” - what does it mean?.. Gary, if you were in Saint Petersburg on July 30th, 2017, please, make a vlog on it, as the naval parade and the fireworks were superb!
+Petr Frizen I think (if I remember what they told me) it is descriptive of the natural layout etc I would love to have seen the parade! Sounds amazing !
Hey Petr! As wikipedia tells us name of Turku origins from old east slavic language of "tǔrgǔ" meaning market place. Also there is swedish word "torg" that means market place too. As you can see they are quite similiar to the name Turku and Turku has been all its history a major trading port for Finland. Here is a wikipedia article about Turku too if you are interested: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turku
