So where's the tier list? I'm not sorting through the video to find what I want. Get a tier list board like every other tier list so I can actually SEE what I'm looking at.
If you're finding Magplar challenging to play in melee-range (especially as a new player), grab 5 pieces of Hexos' Ward off the Trader. It's usually very affordable, even with good traits. That set will go a long way towards drying-up what little sweat there is to Magplar's melee combat.
@@demondegenx Same here, for doing certain things on my Stamplar! As Magplar though, I like Hexos (or Deadly, if I'm not at-risk of dying) combined with War Maiden's.
Awesome video. I started with magplar as a new player and it got me pretty far. I would definitely recommend it for new players, even after the nerf. That character is shelved at the moment but i will always see it as my "main" in a way. I moved on to magblade for mostly everything (including solo) and i love it. So much damage when you really need it, but can also survive some nasty stuff. Being ranged also makes dodging aoe's so much easier.
Delta! Long time fan here. Got a video series idea for you: Would LOVE to see you do "how to" pvp where you take us through a whole battleground or something, talking about what you're thinking, why to block when, etc. The strategy in your mind. Could even do it as a fun "part 2: how to play it" after a build video!
MagPlar! Basically you can set your character up to never die as long as you can hit something. Or if you can't hit anything you have a bajillion selfheals to throw on until you do.
Massively surprised Magplar is rated so high, puncturing sweeps feel more like wet noodles these days and the nerf to its heals are very noticeable, I regularly find the Magplar to be underwhelming and its mostly my main character, I'm kind of lost between builds at the moment to excite me for the future of the game, maybe the Arcanist might be the way forward for me
I still can’t believe the dev team thought jabs were so over powered they needed to have their animation and damage changed after 7yrs no one runs jabs anymore RIP
So, I finally came back to ESO after 4 years (literally 4 years on the dot since I cancelled my sub) a week or two ago. Without looking up any guides or anything, I ended up making a sorcerer because in WoW I main a mage and FFXIV I main a Black Mage so why change it up this time around. Not really knowing or remembering that much about ESO other than remembering NOT to make a Nightblade this time around, so I just ended up placing every point into magicka because more mana=more fun, right? I didn't realize I'd be playing one of the easiest/hardest hitting classes in the game but hey, I'm not complaining :P
@@xXTheRealOniXx I'd argue Stamplar bro. With Puncturing Sweeps being nerfed, the heal isn't all that great and the damage isnt as good as jabs. Stamplar in solo: -Gets more out of the bonuses for medium armor which is the best armor for solo stuff imo. -Repentence, which is always handy for sustainability. -Super Strong HoT with resolving vigor. -Will always have enough magicka to jesus beam if you make it your only magicka ability.
@@NoahWhoa magplar is just fine. I get my sweeps to 9-10k solo and like 13-15k in groups. I’ve had no problems with my magplar. And heals me just enough. And even if it didn’t all the self heals you get still makes it top tier
I've been playing eso awhile but I'm stumped about what makes me stronger. Do I make certain types of armor is it the points? The enchantments? I don't know what increases strength or power. I feel I'm missing something.
My favorite class is at the bottom 🤣, MagDK has always been my favorite to play. It's been a nightmare to impossible at times through the years to play solo content. There have been times where it was better than it is currently but the wheel of pain comes around and MagDK gets nerfed down, which seriously affects solo PvE on MagDK! My TankDK is a beast as a tank and usually always stays there! My poor MagDK though....lol My Magplar has always been my go to in solo play!
I like the 2h play style on my warden as it’s easier for me to light weave with it. But most trial groups look down on it, and if I’m not wearing alkosh, war machine or zens, then they won’t take a stam warden over another sorc or Templar. I just gotta get good😅
Great video as usual but it got me wondering: what is that skill (or set?) that can be seen in the MagSorc footage, the one that creates that blue ring around the sorcerer and that seems to be increasing in radius every now and then? I looked through the written description but as far as I can tell none of the skills or the gear set used creates that blue ring/area
@@ethanfaiello2373 all you need to do to fix is primarily use dots and just heavy attack weave you get massive damage and you don't have to worry about sustain
I will say this and I know the game has been out for years and the community is totally familiar with the "titles", but for new players coming in, I say this: When your video title says "Best class" and you list "STAMCRO, MAGDEN, MAGPLAR etc. None of those are classes in ESO. For a new player trying to use your guide it might be helpful to call the classes by their intended names instead of the "community names" that we all know and hate to avoid confusion. It doesn't take any longer to say or write than the cringy short hand we have now. Just something I noticed when reading guides in ANY MMO, especially when the titles say "Guide for New Players" or "Class rankings" and then proceed to use all the game specific short hand and abbreviations. FF14 is another example, saying WHM instead of spelling out White mage because new players might not be familiar, anyways just something I noticed and your guides are used a lot by new people. K Thanks bro.
MagSorc for life. Kinda pissed that non-pets can't compete with petsorc, but my stubborn arse won't let me play petsorc. been non-pet since I started in Morrowind and I will continue to be non-pet for the rest of the game's lifespan
@@ccb2757 templars have 20 seconds of empower from solar barrage, and dks have molten weapons, but yes. They do heavy attack builds without oakensoul which makes them insanely strong
I have recently leveled up my second character, a high elf mag/stam/hybrid dragonknight and even tough it's on the bottom of your tier lis, I still think it is decent and it isn't much unforgiving for mistakes. Even tough it's the worst solo class it's still ok and it does great and doesn't perform so much different than my sorc, my first character. It is good Imo Also I should note that I use base game gear(burning spellweave on body with sorrow on front bar for magicka and briarheart on body with spriggan's on front bar for stamina, on both set ups I use Iceheart monster set, no pale order ring) and also my traits are not right and sometimes even my mundus stone is the wrong one because I forget to change it. I have to mention tough that I don't play on solo arenas and dlc dungeons because I don't own the dlcs and I only play only base game dungeons.
Warden to me always felt like an ESO failed attempt at a druid/hunter WoW class hybrid. Maybe if they made a companion system for them it would have worked better.
I used to spend a lot of time on my stamdk (but more like hybrid) and I got always over 40k dps on normal bosses (or veteran). However since i upgraded my magplar, it's just unstopable. Over 50k dps all the time, resources no problem and.. kinda suprised it's not n.1
Magplar has easier rotation than stamdk not because it hits harder. Dks are meta dps in trials with Templar not far behind. I main mag and stamdk and yes if your rotation is off than you won’t feel the damage
design flaw in class skilltrees most classes and class abilitis are trails and end game focused, what comes with it loopholes that other skilltrees need to fill. result it a slug to reach end game if you want to train with them while leveling.😂 what also mean most people will never train or use them. what leads to unskilled players entering the end game.
Let’s see.. magdk molten whip, gone. Templar jabs, gone. Warden gotta wear a sustain set or use a heavy attack build but need to use an ice staff to get damage. The list could get long…The devs are simply fkn idiots.
So just delete all my toons and make 3 sorcs, 1 for pvp 1 for pve and 1 for solo because it's the best at all of them. Sounds to me like nerfs incoming.
Umm no? You should have one of every class since nearly all gear is account bound. The differences in this tier list are not significant, a magicka DK is not going to be that far behind a magicka sorc in soloing. Stop thinking tier lists are some huge gap in balance, they are not in TESO.
@@fatalwookie7419 You are correct I gave my opinion, feel free to give yours as well in your own comment. I didn't ask a question or request a response nor do I care to hear one.
MagSorcs suck in PvP where you cannot use LightArmor and Pets because both melts away like ice in the sunshine. Moreover, DKs just laugh and brush off all your damage. Finally, Mara‘s Balm cleans your curses. Result: MagSorc is almost DEAD IN PVP.
It's _pretty obvious_ the Devs play Sorc. That class has never not-been OP. They can't even be justified, by some sort of "RP perspective". Daedra are supposed to be difficult to summon and even more difficult to control. Even when summoned and bound to a Sorcerer's will, they are supposed to be, at all times, trying to undermine the will of their captors. So, why are the Sorc's summoned minions _permanent?_ The logic fails even harder when we look at the Necromancer class, and how laughably-temporary their minions are. Agelessness is a staple-trait of the undead: they don't "expire". Nor do most of them possess any will of their own. So, if anything, it's like ZOS got these classes backwards.
