China already reopened to international tourism. Yet not many Chinese are going overseas for holiday. It is the many beautiful and beatified places like these that keep the Chinese touring their country and not the outside. It would be so nice to live in Chinese cities like this, knowing you are just a high-speed train ride to everywhere else in this vast country.

I never thought that Taiyuan has so much to offer a tourist. It looks like a really great place to live as well. My favourite part is the Ancient Country Town. I wish that all Chinese cities were built like that.
The entire Shanxi province of which Taiyuan is situated in, has some of the oldest buildings in China. Many are around 1000 years old, some dates back to Tang dynasty
I did notice that many of the food, shopping, and amusement options are clustered together when they could be more spread out. I was also thinking that adding some living history/historical reenactment options near historic structures could be fun and educational for families. Some really beautiful architecture, parks, and happy people, so nice to see.

In this walk, of course, I was very impressed by the ancient city and its large size, beauty, everything glows, trade is in full swing, many tourists, the architecture of the buildings, cozy streets, how beautiful it is there !!! 👍👍👍The pagoda temple complex is quite different from many parts in China, I liked it too ! Finally you went to Taiyuan!! I was hoping you would go there when I commented about it a few months back, (or last year I don't remember lol) I showed this to my fiance, who is from Taiyuan and he said it looks much prettier at night now than how it was 6 years ago. There is a professional beggar on Zhonglou street. Reminds me of the first Covid case in Haining, Zhejiang. It was brought by a professional beggar who had just arrived from Shanghai by high-speed train and traveling around Haining by taxi 😂
@@WalkEast Yes 😂 professional begging is a problem in China to this day. These slackers should be sanitary workers instead of begging. In Indonesia we also have this problem, they can earn about Rp20million (¥9500) a month from begging. They have a very big and luxurious house in their village 😂😂😂
Taiyuan is a beautiful city with both modern & traditional architecture❤.Zhonglou pedestrian street is bustling with people,food stalls,shops & fun activities for children.Also I really liked the traditional architecture of the shops.I really like the song being played at Jifen pedestrian bridge.I wonder what is the name of that song?.Wow so many fun activities for children at Jifen pedestrian bridge.Mixc mall is very beautiful from the inside.Jinci temple is very fascinating,would love to pay a visit to it.Roaming around the temple feels like you have arrived back in time.I just love the ancient County Town and its architecture❤.
