Which are you using: DX11 or DX12?
@ishaanmookim8194

im using dx12 because it allows for frame gen ... otherwise i would have gone for 11. DX12 is super unstable compared to DX11

@@ishaanmookim8194 Yeah, I was using the DX11 before the comparison

What driver version were you running while making this video, just out of curiosity? I have a 3050ti and the sim runs pretty great but lately I've updated and things happened and I rolled back and I just wish I could have had my config that was "a few config's" ago if that makes sense.. lol.. cheers!

I had a 546.01 driver version

what gpu you using ?i suggest you lower the monitor refresh rate to 50% bump up settings to high

I lowered settings of the refresh rate and it helped! My specs are in the description :P

@flightandfind
@flightandfind 7 месяцев назад
Well, then it's not crucial to use DX12, you can use DX11, it's not much of a difference.
@lquidty5

the difference is in FSR, when I use It my fps booms@@flightandfind

Do not use v-sync, it ruins everything... Vsync only should be enabled when the FPS surpasses the monitor's refresh rate, and having a 60hz or even better, and MSFS running at 50 if you are lucky with those specs, v-sync will only make it worse... all those settings are wrong, you have to lower the most you can environment details. I have a 3090, and when I have the details at 50, I have 30 fps and 15 or less at night, when I go to 25, I have more than 80 fps... all the other settings mostly makes no difference except for clouds

Ok

Erm achtually... it depends! Vsync and is highly recommend along with frame limiting if your monitor and video cable are fast enough to give acceptable input response. If you have gsync, its even better, but theres a whole lot else than just the fps to consider so I don't agree with you on that.
@Azchk

Also, what impact different setting have on performance has been thoroughly benchmarked since the games release, so boiling it down to just environmental details and clouds is a very limited answer. I highly encourage you to do your own benchmark on your hardware to see if there are differences to not only what this video or other guides say, but also to what you already think. That's the only way to find the most optimal settings for your game in my opinion.

@@Azchk Activating vsync when you have a gsync module is crazy, again, vsync will lower your framerate, v-sync literally means vertical synchronization, and it is to prevent tearing, just that, nothing else, when does tearing happen? When you are outputting more FPS than the monitor's Hertz. It is only useful for that, it was design ONLY to solve that issue, period. I found it totally crazy to limit FPS to 30 or 50, if it can run at 1000 fps, then limit it to your monitor's refresh rate (not with vsync), and done! And I did test all settings on my hardware, this is specifically for my case, nothing made a difference, except the environmental details, the lower the bar, the WAY better fps I had, everything else did not matter if it was lowest or ultra. But that is my hardware specific, as I do have a 3090 and a 13900ks
