I have lived in Seaham all my life and after almost 50 years I can’t understand the attraction for visitors, most people In seaham think it’s a dump. The council has always only just done the bare minimum they can getaway with for the place, residents had to fight to get the Tommy statue and raise the money for it, the council had to be shamed into reluctantly paying the other half! As for church street which is the main shopping centre, it should have been bulldozed back in the early 90s. The shops are mostly dropping to bits and boarded up and empty, all we have left is coffee shops, charity shops and fish and chips. Every night the local hooligans destroy something and the police are nowhere to be seen and do nothing. We get a lot of wild swimmers down in the harbour that seem blissfully unaware of the huge amount of sewage getting pumped out into the water from the pipe, I’m surprised that they haven’t been poisoned or caught a disease!💩💩💩💩

This makes me want to go to Seaham. Have been considering it for a while, this certainly tips it in its favour!

Seaham at present is my favourite place - I found it last year and go every saturday. My late mum went there approx 1950 when my nan had a heart op. Luke you video is amazing - I like the way you made it like a connected journey . Unlike other vidoes, yours has a very clever way to keep me geographically connected . I watched it twice and again with my misses - great video

There is a glass beach down the coast from where I live... I've never been there, but I've seen pictures.

My local beach, go there many times…beach a bit rocky but it’s fine
