At this year's Modell Hobby Spiel in Leipzig, IG Mikromodell was again represented with its own stand. Fascinating remote-controlled functional models in 1:87 scale were presented on a stand area of over 50m2. As usual, the entire team was available to answer questions from the public and provide assistance with minor problems. In addition to heavy loads and building materials, truck races were also held at regular intervals. The public eagerly awaited the date of each race and looked over the pilots' shoulders with excitement. The 1:87 scale is ideal for adding a few attractions to one's model railway layout. Not only is there a wide range of models to choose from in this scale that can be converted into a functional model, but the space available also speaks in favour of this scale. The technology has become so small that even passenger cars are no longer witchcraft. Trucks and buses, thanks to small lipos, now have driving times of up to 1-2 hours.
