This is the best video of the Natchez Trace I’ve seen! We drove it a few years ago and I dream of driving it again many more times. I grew up going to several spots from Alabama into TN. And I can’t wait to make memories with my son now. It’s a very unique National Parkway.
I'd heard of the Natchez Trace is one of James A Michener's books (Texas). I've never been to the USA and it's unlikely I'll get there now (I'm 'up there' in years) but the Trace certainly looks interesting. I've learned something today. Of course even over here in England I know of Elvis Presley and had heard he was born in Tupelo but I never knew there was a tupelo tree.
I loved the video and the narrator's voice. I was born and reared in Mississippi. I took three different classes of Mississippi History while I was in school, and I still learned a lot from the video. Thanks for posting.
I am KC, I grew up in Natchez, Ms, used to walk the Natchez Trace with my friend Richard Freeman, aka "Richa" got my feet wet in my first rock band there "Fairchild" left in 86 to planted roots in Chicago before traveling to Canada, Alabama, Louisiana, Tennessee and back to Tupelo (birthplace of Elvis) Was interviewed recently by great guy named Mark doing a documentary on Nellie Jackson. I met Nellie when I was a teenage boy. She invited my friend Richard and I inside one night to meet the gals and have a coke. I think Nellie is the 1st person I've ever met who loved dogs more than me! Great memories in Natchez! Been traveling the Trace since I was a tiny little juvenile. My parents took it everytime we headed north to MS to visit my mama's family. But we never traveled the entire thing before. Well, I guess I'm gonna have to do it now.
