I purchased my AWR1-1W new in December 1995 (still have the receipt). It has been a great radio and even better it doesn't connect to the internet but today it stopped working. All the characters on the display are illuminated and the bottom of the radio was very warm to the touch even though the radio was off. I unplugged it and replaced the backup batteries with no change. Not sure if it's worth repairing. Totally bummed.
I have the Bose Wave Radio and CD AWRC1.…. with AM LW and FM...Made in Austria... From the 80s and 90s....it still working...The AM Band Is A Great Tuner...I have Received Calgary Canada or 1010khz.. All the way in the Pacific...It is good for getting DX,on AM... also FM... station with in a,250 miles from the Towers is good reception on FM....
Some of my Bose units have a tag that says "D.O.M" and a code, which appears to be the date of manufacture, with the numerical month and year. If you know the approximate vintage of the unit, you can figure out the month and year.
Lol that's what I said, well after I stopped swearing at the fact that the radio was only $10.99 and " then I got my senior discount" and only paid $8. 99 or something like that. I could never find a deal like that. My last one was $77.00 on ebay.
Because my experience on RU-vid is that people only watch about 1/6th of whatever length of video you make. ;-) But at your suggestion, I'm considering editing a new version down to 2 minutes. Which 2 minutes did you find most valuable?
