Baekhyun's 4th solo album and title track is called "Bambi" for multiple reasons. One reason is because one of Baekhyun's nicknames he has been given by some of his fans is Bambi. Fans say he looks cute like a doe-eyed deer. This album is meant to be a gift for fans because, as you mentioned, he was about to enlisting in the military and he wanted to give us something to keep us company while he was away for 18 months serving his country. However, the song is more about the fact that Bambi refers to "night rain" as you see he talks about in the lyrics -- it's a play on words in Korean -- Bam as in night and bi as in rain. And in English, Bambi refers to a woman with long legs -- and that is where the name for the Disney character comes from -- which is also the nickname of the character/woman Baekhyun is talking about in the song. :D However, the song has very little, if anything, to do with the Disney movie -- the cute little deer with the same name, isn't really even connected to the song. (In western pop culture the name Bambi is given to female characters in novels and movies because it is used as a metaphor for her sexual appeal and appearance. That is why Disney chose that name for the deer in their story because it was a play on the fact that Bambi has long legs and big doe-eyes like a voluptuous woman. :D So Baekhyun is not talking about a deer in the song, but he is using it as a nickname for the woman he is singing about.) Because Baekhyun's superpower is the ability to control light, it is thought that what you see happening in the tunnel isn't supposed to be fireworks, but it's supposed to be the explosion of light bulbs, etc. because his passion -- as manifested through his epic high note -- makes him lose control of his powers, etc. I think Tinkerbell in the lyrics is supposed to be a reference to the fact that she is a little fairy that is often represented by the twinkle of light, which is also a metaphor for how he sees the woman he is singing about. Like a fairy, the woman lights up his life. Which, if you want to connect it to EXO's storyline, also could be a reference to the heart of the Tree of Life, as well as EXO's fans, EXO-Ls. (EXO has a song called "Peter Pan," where it can be interpreted as the EXO members are Peter and EXO-Ls are TInkerbell.) The woman in EXO's songs is often thought to be a metaphor and physical representation of the heart of the Tree of Life. That is why the members are always trying to save the girl or protect her, or they talk about being controlled by the power of the woman or they are worried about their passion destroying her, etc. It's EXO's job to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force. EXO was sent to Earth on a mission to find the two halves of the tree and reunite them in order to restore peace in the world. The two halves of the tree -- EXO-K (Korean) represents one half and EXO-M (Mandarin Chinese) represents the other half -- were originally separated in order to keep the Red Force from gaining control. However, now, in order to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, EXO needs to defeat the Red Force and find where the two halves of the tree have been hidden. So on that note, I think that the train theme is somehow connected to SuperM's/EXO's storyline, however, I am not sure how yet. All I know is that, we see SuperM in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see aespa also in a subway train in their debut "Black Mamba" MV and we see SHINee in an old train station in their "Don't Call Me" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks in his "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and people on a subway train platform as it transitions to his song "Mmmh." And before that, we saw Key from SHINee in a subway train in his solo debut song "One of Those Nights." And if we go back even further, you see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX (which Baekhyun is also a member of) on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. And because Baekhyun is the leader of SuperM and a member of EXO, that usually means it's connected to SM's Universe. Fun fact: Even though Baekhyun isn't even part of the dance line, the EXO members say, he is the quickest out of all of them to memorize the choreography.

Fun fact: As you may know, Baekhyun's previous release "UN Village," is much different than "Candy". The two songs have different vibes because "UN Village" and its City Lights album are supposed to have a softer, sultry night theme, where "Candy" and its Delight repackaged album is supposed to have a happy upbeat, bright daylight/daytime theme. The albums are as different as Night and Day. :D Everyone gets a little jealous and wishes they were that female dancer Baekhyun smiles at and dances with.The flirty vibe of this song is what makes everyone melt. And, to really appreciate the choreography, if you haven't yet, you need to check out the dance practice video for "Candy." You will be even more impressed. I think you'll really be surprised when you see the full choreography. ;)

Fun fact: Peaches, and peach trees in particular, symbolize immortality in Korean culture and the modern take on traditional Korean clothing that Kai wears in his "Peaches" MV seems to symbolize that he is an immortal being that plans to continue his journey for many more years with no plans of stopping. I have also heard that images with everything to do with this MV and comeback content reference things to do with traditional Korean folktales, so Koreans, and those that know Korean culture, would understand some of the references and stories he is referring to. I'm also fairly certain that there are also things in this video that can be connected to EXO's storyline, however, I haven't made any solid connections yet. The title of this song and album is stylized as "Peaches^2" because this is Kai's second solo album. I guess it's SM's new style, they put the album number in the title of the album. Peaches is a mini album with 6 tracks. If you want a sample of the other songs on this album, if you haven't already, check out his "Peaches Prologue Film." The prologue film is similar to Kai's "Film: Kai," which was a sample of all his songs on his solo debut Kai album.

Girl, you've chosen my only biases to react to in ONE video! TYSM!!! Baekhyun aka the Genius Idol and Kai aka Idol of Idols! You chose the best, creme de la creme 😊 Kai's my ult because he has the most unique voice tone, like, he's a baritone that soothes my soul but he's capable of falsetto too! I call him the little bastard because he wrecks me every time. Baekhyun's voice makes me cry every time, his singing is sooo emotional that i fall for this emotion no matter how many times i listen. Kai and Baek have pretty different personalities, although they're both introverts, but i love them both. Baek is a natural talent in singing but he loves to dance so much, he really feels it. And Kai's a natural talent in dance who loves to sing and works hard to improve with each comeback. They both are kind hearted and hardworking people who don't let fame get into their heads. All EXO are extremely humble and hardworking, and their level of talent vocally and in other creative fields is just insane! I wish you could react to their individual guides by Cesar Oh. They're a bit outdated but give a good description of the boys' character and history.. You were right, Kai's very nice, he's such a good boy who can't say the word "breast" on the national tv because his mom will be disappointed 😅 the sweetest man I've seen, just check out his countdown for each solo comeback, cries like a baby because he's grateful for all the fans' support. Kai's also into fashion, he's the first Korean global ambassador for Gucci and even has a collection with them (also being the first Korean to do so) and he's also currently the muse for YSL beauty. Baek has his own fashion brand and is an ambassador for Burberry.... I can go on for days. But each member of EXO is a whole universe and the more you know them, the more you love them. Each one is a phenomenon and to be put in a group of 9 phenomena... They're the best on so many levels and they deserve the whole world. So glad you checked out Baekhyun's title tracks! Both Candy and Bambi are amazing, but to really appriecate the depth of his voice, I highly reccomend his Solo albums. His B-sides are so incredible and some have performances at concerts as well. I would reccomend going in chronological order but his songs are truly timeless. To understand what is happening in Kai's "Mmmh" MV, you have to first understand EXO's storyline and concept. As a member of an SM group, it shouldn't be a surprise that Kai is such a great singer and performer. You can't be an SM artist without having amazing vocals and dance skills. All of SM's artists were first chosen for their visuals, vocals and/or dance skills, and even the rappers get intense training as vocalists. That is why SM is known as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. And EXO is a group that is a perfect example of that. Everything EXO is involved in, and I literally mean almost everything, is connected in someway to their concept and storyline. EXO's MVs are kind of like a movie -- it's a movie that has been going on for the past 11+ years -- since predebut -- and it has no sign of coming to an end any time soon. The one thing you have to keep in mind with all of EXO's MVs, and I really mean all of them -- including their sub-sub-unit MVs and a majority of the member's solo MVs. And because Baekhyun and Kai are involved, even SuperM's storyline -- is that they are all connected and they all tell a little more of EXO's story. From day one, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from planet EXO and they came to Earth with superpowers on a mission to protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces. Each of the members has a superpower that is unique to them and almost every MV will have at least one if not all of them using their powers. So, each new MV or project from EXO tells another part of the story, and over the years, we fans have started to create a timeline and idea of what we think each part of the story is telling us. Kai's EXO superpower is teleportation, so what you see throughout his "Mmmh" MV is him teleporting. For example, why you see Kai move a fraction of a frame in the scene when his backup dancers "disappeared," is because they didn't disappear. Kai was the one that moved when he teleported from another time or place at that moment. In other words, he was a fraction of a second off on purpose to show that he was the one moving as he teleported, not the dancers. With what I know about EXO's storyline, nothing is ever random, and even the most minute of details have been designed to give clues and hints within EXO's story. So, even the subtle little details that you might overlook -- such as placing Kai in that shot a fraction of a second off -- could actually be done intentionally. And, I think, at the very end scene, what you are seeing is SM connecting Kai's solo storyline to EXO's storyline. You see D.O.'s power of earth (dirt), which gives him super strength/force, and Xiumin's power to control snow/ice/frost being used. You also see what I think is the emergence of a pyramid, which represents Kai and his superpower -- as part of EXOs storyline, all the members have a symbol that represents them. A pyramid is Kai's symbol and, when you see a pyramid within EXO's storyline, it represents something to do with Kai. I also find it interesting that Xiumin returned from the military about a month before this MV was released, and D.O. just returned from the military shortly after its release, so the end scene in "Mmmh" may be SM's way of connecting the events of this MV to D.O.'s and Xiumin's future solo work as well. If you analyse all the scenes within Kai's MV you would find connections can be made to EXO's storyline and things to do with past EXO MVs and probably even future MVs, as well as SuperM's storyline. Kai is also a member of SuperM, which is the industry's very first Supergroup made up of members from SM Entertainment's other male groups -- Baekhyun and Kai from EXO, Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT, Ten from WayV and Lucas who is a former member of WayV. SuperM's concept is that they are "The Avengers of Kpop," and the members are supposed to be superhero-like characters who are coming together to form an Avengers-like group to help EXO defeat the evil Red Force. And, like the majority of SM's groups, all of their storylines and concepts intertwin and connect. For example, in SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, you see Kai being chased by or being aided by drones as he tried to scale a building, in his attempt to stop the Red Force. So, I think the scene in "Mmmh," where you see him looking at the drones hovering around him, has something to do with connections between Kai's solo storyline and SuperM/EXO's MVs. Also, Kai means opening, as in a door or gateway, so as a member of EXO, Kim JongIn (Kai) was given the stage name Kai because, as the center of the group, he is supposed to be the member who connects everyone together and that is why he was given the ability to teleport. Plus, as part of EXO's storyline, it is thought that the members are traveling between dimensions and time periods throughout history in their quest to find the Tree of Life and to fix all the evil and corruption that is thought to be caused by the Red Force. So, it is thought that what you see in Kai's MV is him traveling between dimensions and across time periods in his search. That is why you see him in so many different locations and scenes in this MV. There is also a fan theory that the reason why we see Kai with so many different looks and styles in these scenes is because it's not always Kai that we are seeing. Another part of EXO's storyline is that some of the members have evil alter ego clones that have been created by the Red Force. (As we see introduced in EXO's "Obsession" MV.) So, some theories think that sometimes we are seeing Kai's evil X-EXO clone and other times we are seeing superhero, good EXO Kai. And that eye we see in this MV, although I am not sure what it means yet, I think it's connected to the eye we see in other SM MVs, such as EXO Lay's solo "Namanana" MV and SM's new girl group aespa's "Savage" MV, and maybe even the eye symbol and closeup of the dragon's eye in Lay's solo "Lit" MV. And it even looks like it could be connected to the eye we see in SHINee Key's "Gasoline" and "Killer" MVs. The eyes all look slightly different, but I think they are supposed to be a symbol that connects something within the larger storyline of SM's SM Culture Universe. (Everything SM does is part of one giant storyline like a huge graphic novel or mystery movie series.) All of the EXO members first solo songs have something to do with the fact that they are members of EXO, and their MVs and songs show them using their powers. Xiumin's solo debut "Brand New" MV, shows him using his power of frost, D.O.'s MV for his solo debut song "Rose" shows him using his power of force, Baekhyun's debut album City Lights and MV "UN Village" talks about his power to control light, Suho's "Let's Love" MV shows him with his power to control water, and Kai teleports all over in his "Mmmh" MV. As the first EXO member to have a solo career, the majority of Lay's solo MVs tie into EXO's storyline as well. Unfortunately, to make it even more difficult to understand, each part of the story is not necessarily in chronological order. So, we fans have to become detectives and analyze every aspect of everything any of the members of EXO/SuperM are involved in to try and piece it all together and figure out where each part fits within their larger storyline. And the story isn't just limited to their MVs, but it extends to everything EXO is involved in, including teaser videos, live performances, concert VCRs and even a majority of their choreography. As you can see, EXO's and SM's Universe is extremely complicated and complex, and even the most expert of fans, has trouble following the storyline. The thing is, none of us really know exactly what is happening in the story, it's all just fan theories and educated guesses. SM has never confirmed or denied any of our theories and they have left it completely up to fans to figure out what is happening and to create the story. (We only hope that someday SM will release the book or produce a movie that will explain the whole story, so we will know whether any part of our theories were correct.) "Mmmh" is the lead track on Kai's solo debut self-titled mini album, Kai, which came out in 2020. There are 6 songs on this album. To hear the rest of the songs, check out his epic "Film: Kai" video, which was created to give viewers a sample of all of the tracks on his album. As the main dancer of EXO, Kai is literally one of the top two best dancers in Kpop. And that's not just a fan's opinion, but it's a title given to him by his peers and the the industry as a whole. (Taemin from SHINee -- who happens to be Kai's best friend since trainee days, and is a fellow member of SuperM -- is the other top dancer.) There is literally no one better when it comes to dance in the world of Kpop than Kai and Taemin.

"Amusement Park" is a lovely, more soothing song. The B-sides "Cry for love" and "All I got" from his latest album are top-notch as well, and quite emotional. Especially "Cry for Love".
