In about five minutes, Dave piloted our boat around several loops and almost crashed us into other boats. It felt like watching a live comedy show. Our sides were splitting with laughter as we cried and tried in vain to stop it as Dave tried to gain back control.
We later persuaded Dave to allow the other experienced captain to drive the vessel instead. But with our new captain, who skillfully steered us through these dangerous waters, came an inexplicable feeling of relief. At last we were on target and our journey got going once again with fresh energy.
The remaining part of the day was a mix of laughs, splashing, and everlasting memories. We stopped close to an isolated point and had our picnic lunch on the hot sunshine. In fact, we also ventured into some water sports, with mixed results. So, it could be said that some of us had greater capacities to fall out of the wakeboard as opposed to getting on it.
At last on that evening, we regrettably handed our trustworthy vessel into the marina. Indeed, our hearts were overflowing, and our souls lifted high. Lake Michigans was our thrill; we enjoyed the fun of boat captains, shared laughs, and adventures.
