"We On" was the song that made me become their fan, I was completely obsessed with Namjoon's voice, which made me listen to the whole album to get to know the group. I'm really sad to see how underrated this song is and I'm glad you liked it. O!RUL8,2? will forever be one of my favorite albums, it's just iconic!
It's definitely a hidden gem and one of the most underrated songs.. Going unnoticed for a long time, but when it hits you, it hits :) It's in the same league as Tomorrow and Am I Wrong and many others.

There are so many funny idiomaric expressions in the song. BTS is just different for Koreans. They have broken the mould as idols and they are still getting upgraded by trying out new things. 15:20 If you notice in the N.O live performance, Yoongi wasn't moving/using his left shoulder much. If I remember correctly, this was the time his shoulder injury reached the point where it's just too painful for him. Man still performed like the true professional he is. You won't get mediocrity from them and I love them so much for it.

Yes I remember watching it live and see when this shoulder give up and he put hand in pocket and go on and after break they have between songs he come and could move it again bc of shots, it was so scary , that moment ahh. He said he is ok not to worry but when we literally saw his hand give up it was shocking... Ehh
Nothing can really compare to young Bangtans. Their dance and how insane they perform? I've never seen newly debuted groups in the new kpop generations that can match their intensity. Attack on Bangtan is so so so good.
it's so FUN listening to them talking in dialect especially when they insert their dialects in some of their conversations in Run BTS, lives, etc. Hobi's "aing" is so cute lol also, there's something we called "Namtoori" when Namjoon starts speaking mixed dialect, he doesn't have dialect since his hometown is near Seoul, so he speaks standard Korean... and because every member have dialects, he starts mixing them
this album will forever have my heart it was my first bts album and it helped me during my hard school days so much and the way they predicted their success with it will forever be iconic
54:18 I imagine if Hobi heard you describe the, "Attack On Bangtan," choreo as easy, he'd literally fall onto the floor cry-laughing. The amount of synchronization in the overall routine is deceptive - especially when you think about the addition of all those backup dancers. Every time I watch the AoB practice, I'm amazed again at the precision required to not only wield a prop (an actual wooden baseball bat!) on beat & safely, but exchange it seamlessly & meshed with the choreo. My calves ache just thinking about how many repetitions he must have done to get that stunt so right... I don't think J-Hope got enough credit back in the day for how much work he put in.
Tbh the ON:E concert (which was their first online pandemic-concert) had a lot of sound problems. It's like the technicians couldn't quite adjust for the difference between a filled and an empty stadium. It was a great concert but it was also clear that they didn't have the live audience energy to feed off of. They even shed a tear or two at the end over that. 🥺 Jin generally didn't have a lot of lines back then. Personally I think they underestimated him a lot but he also didn't have a lot of self confidence back then. He later said that something shifted in him during the Fire era. 💜

Their target audience were adolescents. They were not aware that their songs would speak to all ages. I feel like BTS started a conversation with ppl and they have been talking to us for 3 albums straight about the same topic. It's mind boggling but so cool. So glad u liked this. I love this song. As you know, the members were extremely young when they first debuted and most of them were still in school and kids. Their first three albums heavily focused on the school education system, childish innocent teenage love, and struggles that the youth have to go through because the boys have experienced that sort of thing themselves. They wanted to relate and protect the youth. Once you go through more of the albums you'll notice the older they get, the more mature the themes will get and so will the messages. Eva Stokes said on 10/20/22 Actually the first verse is the first verse of Suga's part in the first song "No More Dream" RM says 'What's your dream' then Suga says 'I want a big car, big house big rings' which he goes on to repeat in several songs. As the second song "N.O" was not only a comment on the Korean Educational System like others have commented but on something that RM has also spoken about that was he stopped dreaming when he was in middle school and lived a life for his parents dreams. This song speaks to that loss of dreams during youth. Their parents dream of going to university in Seoul (SKY = Seoul's very famous Universities best in the nation). Just an aside as the stairs are reused in an award ceremony performance so are the hands you see, they were used on a performance of "Fake Love" during an award ceremony. They are masters of using things over and over to remind you that this all flows together be it music, lyrics or even props. I think that is why so many are surprised that BTS spent so much time on sets as opposed to CGI. Sets they can use again and for a group that worked with little to no funds that was important early on. And yes ON is related to NO as it is a call to bring it on that they BTS will continue to buck the system and work hard for their dreams. I wish more people would hear this. Exactly. People hate on BTS without even delving deeper into their discography. They are so much more than Kpop, so many topics they tackled on. My Bangtan Kings. People wouldnt understand how loyal ARMY is if they dont take the chance to get to know BTS more.
Underrated, why? Hehe I think there is a lot of Armys that love this album. Hmm actually it is in my top 5 BTS albums. I simply think new people are not that keen to check out old stuff in full, like they watch things that have MV, big performances, etc, but this is all. But with BTS most b-sides are better then title track.... I love intro to this album it is on my list of favorite tracks even tho it is like not even 2 minute intro. And "We on" is like one of my favorite song. Totally my top 10.
what you said for WE ON is true, you will not see recommendations from their old discography and that is why you tend to discover these older underrated gems on your own and there are so many ARMYs who don't know these masterpieces exists, so they don't recommend you, even if some ARMYs recommend it, you will eventually end up reacting to more popular ones and not them coz they are not that big songs like fake love or ON etc.... you discover these old gems on your own, coz it happened with me.... songs like We on, If I ruled the world, paldogangsan, rain, look here, let me know, 2nd grade etc.... 19:00 yeh the audio is bad bc it’s from the online live concert… that’s the only bad thing about that kinda thing is often the audio can be an issue considering it’s going out to millions of ppl live lol ya know… but it kinda happens the whole concert but some are better than others… but sometimes they weren’t singing in this one at parts but they did this after ON which is a lot of choreo . I have the dvd for this concert and the audio is better but I don’t like it bc it sounds processes a bit. This was the only time they performed that dance break for NO bc all the performances for the MOTS concert were upgraded bc it was online… their stages are more theatrical and bc it’s literally streaming live their can be issues with us hearing perfectly but still an amazing fun concert bc of this and it’s just good to keep that in mind when watching! The behind the scenes has them practicing the dance break part and it’s a lot of fun! Maybe you can check that concert out one day and then see all that behind the scenes stuff for that concert!

This album has such an old school 90's boy band feel to it. As somebody who still loves Backstreet Boys, I love it. They never drop the ball on any of their Albums - they are just so good at what they do.

I love his older videos, let's say his first 6 years. funny. They go through different stages, from the rebelliousness of adolescence, school days, young love, mischief. No super fun. They are tender, funny, professional, talented, persistent, responsible, disciplined, affectionate, spontaneous, sincere. SPECIALS!!!!!!!! Obviously, their most adult stage is exceptional, they are exceptional!
Not under appreciated by me. One of my most played BTS albums. Tnat and "Dark and Wild " both live in my car CD player. I love, love OG Old Skool BTS 💜 Old Skool BTS has a special place in my heart❤. They were raw, hungry and sooo talented right from the jump. I get upset when some people say they have "changed" "grown" alot since olc skool BTS. No the heart and soul of BTS is Hip Hop, Rap and R&B. Hobi at Lalapalooza is old skool BTS. Jimin's Set Me Free and Face album is old skool BTS, RM's Indigo is old skool BTS, Suga's D-Day album and tour are old skool BTS. And here I "drop the mic!"
15:51 jimin and taes voices on a lot of the older tracks are not just their voices alone… they’re often combined with jungkooks or Jhopes…. Sometimes Jin’s…. But if you hear a track… they did a lot of combining their voices and even in more recent years… they still layer sometimes just for whatever sound they’re going for or something bc jimin and taes natural style is very much deep or very much high… jimins tone is bright… it’s hard for his vocals to not sound bright which is why he growls a lot of the deeper note parts bc it’s not a comfortable note range , same with tae… he’s got a very textured voice and doesn’t like to open his mouth very much when he sings… the deep and texture is very dark…. His tone… it needs to be brighter in some places for cohesiveness of the song… but they sing the parts live themselves which is why it sounds different a lot of the time but in a good way
Bts old songs are beautiful but sometimes hate to listen to them because how less jin gets lines. Even songs like blood sweat tears and not today.😕 Anyways he slays and shines despite of that mistreatment with his hard-works.
