They're Space Pirates if you didn't get it. If you go back to like adios, dun dun, you'll see they're on other planets. They start on a ship in First. They always felt like pirates and then they released Pirate basically confirming it. One thing I love in they're dances are the hand movments, IE La Di Da, First, Pirate, so captivating. B-side are great.
The girls are still active on social networks but nothing is known about the comeback yet. They always say publicly that they want to come back but the agency keeps delaying everything. In fact, they have a concert tomorrow in Korea and dreamcatcher will also be there ❤ By the way, Dreamcatcher and Everglow get along very well ^^ there are even videos of them on a show they were invited to.❤❤😊
Sihyeon (last mv blue trouser) & Yiren (yellow checked skirt) had participated in Produce 48 (27th & 28th place out of 90+ contestant. In fact Sihyeon participated both times in Produce 101 & 48.) , the survival show that produce Izone (limited time group) which later leads to Le Sserafim & IVE(some members from Izone). By that say, here comes the: Zen's recommendation part 2: Iz*One 1 La Vie en Rose 2 Violeta 3 FIESTA 4 Secret Story of the Swan
their bsides have such variety! from hard hitting songs to cute songs to ballads they have it all !! their bsides are so good i rlly hope you’ll check them out 🫶🏻 also their dance practices are so good as well !!
Finishing the day with "First". Seriously, what were you thinking? This song and video should come with the warning "Extreme Jaw Hanging"!!! Any boy group would kill to have that song.
Oh their bsides are SO different than their title tracks, they have different sounds and they're all amazing istg. Their ballads... omg they're just sooooo good and worth checking out!
I love XG!!! I listen to their music often 🥰 I haven't heard some of their more recent stuff in the past few months I have Left Right on the list soon!
the title makes me confused, i thought this supposed to be pt2 lol. thank you btw for reacting to Everglow & Dreamcatcher, I love both group. Hope to see more Everglow on your channel
Watching your face during First was excellent, hahaha! Fun fact, ATEEZ's choreographer choreographed First - I love that they let the girls just go SO HARD with what would be "guy" dancing (and they just ate that shit up)! ATEEZ's producers also worked on the Apocalypse From Us album - I'm loving all the ATEEZ crossovers because ATEEZ is tied with EXO for my top guy group. I guess it's not unexpected that I love everything the team works on elsewhere in kpop, lol. I'm glad you grabbed Promise - it's such a nice song, and it has such a nice message (which... Duh, it's for UNICEF). The person you said "who is she" is Mia, she's their main vocalist, she had the dance break in Dun Dun, and had the blue hair in First (and the pirate patch in the chair in Pirate). She's my bias too haha, she's so cute but so fierce at the same time. When Pirate first came out, I sent it to a buddy of mine that's a hardcore Once (but we share other stuff with each other), and he was like, "You know, I never thought there would be a day when I would hear 'shiver me timbers' in a kpop rap and it would actually *slap*" 🤣😂🤣😂 Every time I hear EU's rap, I think of that conversation. Now you know why La Di Da, First and Pirate are my top EG songs. Like.... I'll listen to them all but those 3 are god tier. Their b-sides do have more variety (well... As you learned with Don't Speak). My favorite b-side of theirs is actually Hush, it's a slower more gentle vibe, but it's not a ballad. It's just a really beautiful, chill vibe. No Lie is also a top b-side for me. I desperately hope they get a comeback because they deserve it. Edit: another song that goes REALLY HARD that came out around the same time as First is Paint The Town by LOONA. You'll love it if you haven't heard it. Unfortunately, LOONA's company is embroiled in lawsuits with the girls for unfair and exploitative contracts, so half the girls are no longer in the group and the others are trying to break their contracts. But their earlier stuff is absolutely worth listening to, especially Butterfly, So What, Why Not, and Star in addition to PTT.
I was not expecting them to go so hard in that First song in both music and dance!!! I would agree with you on your top 3 I would say those are probably mine at well 🥰 I heard LOONA's company is very much dumpster trash tier, so I'm keeping them off my deep dives/discoveries until those girls get what they deserve!
@@roguereacts Yeah that's fair (re: LOONA). I'm in two minds about them - the girls themselves worked their asses off and are immensely talented, and the whole team (like choreo, makeup, composers, producers, MV team, styling, and the girls themselves) did an incredible job with everything. At the same time, yeah....BBC is a dumpster fire, they unfairly smeared Chuu something fierce, they abused the girls, during their US tour, many of the girls were injured or sick through the entire thing, and they never got paid a dime. They a million percent deserve fair compensation and contracts that allow them to be actual healthy human beings. At the same time, what they've already put out there had so much love, time and work put into it, and it should be appreciated, you know? (But also fuck BBC they don't deserve a cent of our money). It's hard. >.
First is such a BOP! The mismanagement is such a waste of talent. 😞😞 They certainly have a number of great B-sides. Two of my favorites are Player and Nighty Night On a different note: you have now reacted to my top 2 girl groups: Dreamcatcher and Everglow (thank you for that ❤). Any chance I can tempt you into making it 3 out of 3? The 3rd one also doesn't have that many tracks (only 6), because it's a bit unusual. It's K/DA. K/DA is a virtual K-pop girl group consisting of four themed versions of League of Legends characters Ahri, Akali, Evelynn and Kai'Sa. (G)I-dle members Miyeon and Soyeon provide the voices of Ahri and Akali. Madison Beer voices Evelynn. Jaira Burns provided the voice for Kai'Sa. Could be a good segue into (G)I-dle.
I mentioned K/DA to her a couple videos ago - I feel like she'd love them since IDLE is her ult!! Also Soyeon just *eats* her raps 🤌 Edit: Plus her next deep dive is Twice and they collabed with K/DA
soooo little fun fact ... K/DA got me into K-Pop 🤣 which got me into IDLE (they are my ult group)... which then got me into even more kpop 🤣 You can all thank K/DA for this channel LOL
Everglow is amazing 😭❤ My girls are so talented. Please, react to b sides in video ❤🥺 Untouchable, No lie, No good reason and Back together 🥺. There is also a 2021 guide that is not bad to get to know each of them. ♡
off topic but i could not recommend you BiBi enough. at the very least Kazino, Life is a Bi... , Animal Farm, Vengeance, Jotto and Blade. Very different from Idol music, she is a bit more toward RnB but no joke, probably the best soloist/artist out there. ( she actually writes songs for idols also for exemple she wrote More & More of Twice and Smiley for Yena )
the tri factor of Animal Farm, Vengeance and Jotto is something special :) BiBi is an interesting artist for sure! I would categorize her as K-Pop artist (K-Pop = korean mainstream music) but not as a traditional K-Pop "idol". My favorite K-Pop solo artist is IU who I would consider the most influential K-Pop solo artist. So very worth reacting to as well :)
@@roguereacts It's time for b-sides.... EVERGLOW officially announced that they would be making their long-awaited comeback next month. August 18, 2023 at 6 p.m. KST.
Loved the video! Glad you love Everglow as much as we do, they just have so many amazing songs. If you want more Everglow while you wait on Yuehua doing... well, ANYTHING with the group, then reply to this comment and I'll give you a bunch of video links (and descriptions) for your perusal :)
@@LastKnight0727 Yeah. Honestly, though, their actual listings are way off these days. It's more like this in their songs & videos, with various shared main roles: Sihyeon: Main vocalist, Sub dancer, Visual, Leader of the Group, Face of the Group Mia: Main vocalist, Main dancer, Sub rapper, Visual E:U: Main rapper, Lead dancer, Sub vocalist, Visual Aisha: Main rapper, Sub vocalist, Sub dancer, Visual Onda: Lead dancer, Sub vocalist, Visual Yiren: Lead dancer, Sub vocalist, Sub rapper, Visual, Maknae, Face of the Group I can see it all changing again if/when they finally are allowed to release more music. They're all so incredibly versatile, it's crazy. I think the roles for rap & vocals are pretty fixed overall, but I can see a situation where Onda could move up on either of them. Also, I know I listed 2x main and 4x sub on vocals, but it's definitely a blurry line between lead and sub for some of them, I just felt that none of them had quite enough sung lines to warrant a bump to lead. They're capable (La Di Da, Promise and various B-Sides being the best examples of it) of being leads for sure.
Its to bad with Everglow. I think a disbandment is more likely than a return from their hiatus. They always had it difficult in Korea because resentments against China, chinese company and chinese member "invading" K-Pop. Internationally they were popular for a time (especially in that "girl crush" wave in K-Pop after Blackpinks insane success). But as others said, they were badly managed by their label (and commercially not as successful as "newer" artists under the label like TEMPEST or Yena). Todays crowded market for girl groups with all these new "monster rookie groups" might be difficult to come back to for an "older" group anyways. For me: "Pirate" might be my favorite song :) After that La Di Da, First and Adios. Love all those title tracks. Their debut wasn't for me and Dun Dun always felt a bit like Adios 1.5. I also never really listened to their B-Sides. But tastes are different and thats ok.
