how many miles long is this trail, is it in florence junction, this trail looks easy, is it dirt roads most of the time?im running it next weekend , so im just getting info
It's been awhile since we've been there as this video is quite old, but it's easy to find. You'll hit a gate as you go up the hill and will have to walk 45min to an hour to get to the mine. Back in the day, you used to be able to drive right up to the mine and around the loop and back down. Sadly, it's a hiking trail only now.
Kinda sad they closed road going all the way in. Maybe due to too many people getting back there? Last time I went to Chiva Falls, I had to pull over numerous times to let hoards of SxSs go by. I remember that place being pretty tranquil due to its remoteness. Not the case anymore.
