DISCOVERING NCT DREAM!!! | NCT Dream - Boom MV (FIRST TIME REACTION) 

You REALLY have to see Hello Future! It's their latest song from last year and it's my absolute favorite, it's incredible. Part of the reason they sound so different is because of their concept and age. Dream's concept is specifically meant to sound more youthful and bright, even when they have "edgier" songs like Boom, Go, Ridin' and Hot Sauce. Mark was missing from Boom and while yes he was promoting with 127 it was actually because he had technically officially left Dream bc Dream used to have a graduation concept where the adult members had to leave so Mark was gone for this song and "Ridin'" officially, not just busy with other things. But he was brought back into the group in 2021 officially, so you'll see him with them pre Boom and post Ridin'

they sound different from the other units because ultimately, that’s the whole point ! i find it so fascinating how every single unit sound like NCT yet each and every unit have their own unique sounds. Also! During Boom & Ridin, mark was not a part of it due to having “graduated” from the group (a rule they had where when a member turns 20 in korean age, they have to graduate from the group). Which the company soon got rid of in 2020 which is why mark is back in their recent songs.

Renjun (run-jun) was the one holding out the note. He's got a voice of an angel. Chenle (chen-luh) got the pink cornrows. Jisung is the tall one with the surprisingly deep voice. He's the baby and dancing machine. I just recently got into Dream's discography. It's definitely a lot brighter than the rest of NCT, but they did debut when they were 14-17 yrs old. They remind me of SHINee the most. Feel good bops with amazing vocals. It's interesting to see where they will go now that they're older. They can pull off any concept so the possibilities are endless.

You'd be shook by some of their earlier MVs. They were SO young! My First and Last is my fav of their older songs. All their recent releases are bops too. But def a different vibe compared to the other units.

Dreamies BOOM is the song that i got to discover NCT....SIMPLE but POWERFUL vocals ,visuals and mesmerizing chorus .....Next one should be Dreamies RIDIN ....my favorite dreamies song....ahhh i love that reaction .....

Dream is the sub-unit with NCT's youngest members (besides the 2 newest members Sungchan and Shotaro). So that's why they have a different feel, their sound quite literally grew up with them.

You gotta check out 'My First and Last' by Dream. Its one of their earlier releases and its got a more retro concept. MFAL is such a great era both from a performance standpoint (song, choreography and m/v) and a visual standpoint (styling and set design). Super underrated but a 10/10

Boom has been in my head for the past week...it has me in its clutches for real....Boom Boom Boom Boom Boom 😭😭😭

Because "Boom" came out in 2019, there were only 6 members in NCT-Dream. Mark had "graduated" from NCT-Dream at this time and he was no longer included in NCT-Dream activities. However, Heechan, who also is a member of NCT-127, was just recovering from an injury, as well as promoting as a member of NCT-127 -- with Mark and the other 127 members -- in the U.S. at this time, so he was only able to participate in part of the MV. That's why you only see all 6 of them at the end. In the beginning of the MV there was only 5 members, but by the end there are a few scenes with all 6 members. The whole point of "Boom" is to show how much the Dream members have grown and matured, etc. I always find it funny that Jisung, who is the maknae of NCT, is the member who is the tallest and the one with the deepest voice. "Boom" is where we see Jisung turn from a boy into a young man. You should check out the dance practice for "Boom." To get to know the NCT-Dream better, it makes more sense to react to their MVs in order of when they were released. As you will start to discover, as you go along and see some of NCT-Dream's older material, you will see and hear how their style has grown and changed over time. That is also part of the group's concept. As the members grow and mature so to does there sound and style. That is why they debuted with their song "Chewing Gum" which has a very cute and bubbly concept that fits the fact that they were all teenagers at the time. They had to grow and mature into the sound you hear in "Boom." SM's no dummy when it comes to creating groups that gain global popularity. It just goes to show you why its one of the Big 3 entertainment companies in the world. :D NCT-Dream is NCT's third sub-unit, which began in August 2016, and it is made up of all the 7 youngest members of the group. All the Dream member's are currently between the ages of 20 and 22 years old (they were 14-17 when they debuted.) SM originally created this sub-unit with the idea that if they had a trainee that they felt was ready to debut even though they were really young, they would start out as a member of NCT-Dream. They were the cute babies of the group who were learning the ropes and honing their skills because they are young, but they are also some of the most talented because they debuted way sooner than a lot of trainees. The way NCT-Dream originally was designed to work was that the members were part of the group until they turn 19 and become an adult. SM's original plan was that when the members turned 19 they were supposed to graduate from the group and they were no longer considered a member of NCT-Dream. Mark (who is also a member of NCT-U, NCT-127 -- the only NCT member to debut as part of all of NCT's first 3 sub-units -- and SuperM) "graduated" from NCT-Dream in 2018, and Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin and RenJun, who are all older than 19, we thought would be graduating in 2019. (Which would have left NCT-Dream with only 2 members, with the idea that new trainees would probably debut sometime in 2020 and become members of NCT-Dream.) However, SM announced at the beginning of 2020 that they decided to make NCT-Dream a permanent group and suspend the whole " graduation" concept, including putting Mark back in the group.

I recommend Hello Future which is their latest song! It’s kind of insane to me how much they’ve grown even since Boom because Jisung was 17 back then and he just turned 20 like less than a week ago. NCT Dream are just one of those groups in general who have a special place in my heart because they went through a lot. They had started training at even a younger age like around 11-13 years old, so most of them had to drop out of school. They’re one of the groups who are so close that they’re not only each other’s friends but also family. Compared to the other NCT units, NCT Dream has been the unit that was a lot more popular in korea and in Asia compared to 127 and WayV that are more popular in the west. I’m honestly just proud at this point they’ve achieved so much 6 years into their career, but they also have a very long way to go. Out of all the units they have my favorite overall sound because not only are they insanely talented but I think they have an ability to make their songs feel extremely comforting and feel good even though they have a very diverse discography. It’s so fascinating how each unit has their own sound and style but you can still know they’re NCT.

Having NCT as a large group with sub-units producing amazing bops which suits with different kind of target audiences, really makes it hard to go out from their grip, like I wanna feel like a highschool kid today, they got NCTDream, one time I wanna be extra adventurous, there's 127 squad, and whenever I feel giddy at night there's WayV. I love NCTDream vibes, they literally make me feels younger tbh

idk if anyone mentioned it but NCT Dream was actually supposed to be a graduating unit. When the members got to a certain age they graduated and were moved to the other units to join the rest of the boys. But the original members of NCT Dream were so popular and someone was pretty upset when Mark and Haechan were left that they decided to just make them a whole unit and change up the way they go about it. But they dont have a set way yet as far as i know? They added two new members(Shotaro and Sungchan) since making NCT Dream their own sub unit but they've just been added to NCT U which is not a fixed group. It's just kinda randomly chosen. I hope they find a place soon. We were also supposed to get more members last year but with the pandemic i guess i understand why we didn't. I would like my "Fairy Huge Unit" now tho thanks lol

don't know if you already decided what you gonna watch next but i always recommend going in order of release with dreams mvs, you kinda get to see them grow up and it's a nice journey. jisung was so young it's insane how much he changed

But yeah, as someone already said, Dream had a graduation concept that was scrapped in 2020, Mark had graduated but has since returned. Haechan was really busy at the time of this comeback too if I remember right which is why you will only see him in certain parts of the MV. Last year they performed this song with Mark.
