Can you guys please do a more detailed video on the holsters would love to see. Thanks so much doing all my research to get my first firearm and thought was going for the mc9 till I held the mete sf
Thank you for watching! We're glad our videos contributed to your research. A detailed video on holsters sounds like a great idea. We'll look into creating content that covers different holster options, fits, and features to help you make an informed decision. The Mete SF is an excellent choice!
I was considering the Mete MC9 as my first firearm, but after all the research done, i am now 100% sure that i will be purchasing the Mete SF. The SF is basically a bigger version of the MC9. The difference is that i will be able to carry more rounds and get a better grip on the pistol. So much value for money. Super excited. Just waiting on SAPS to approve. CANiK for the win.
The push pins is a huge enhancement from the conventional roll pins. Good to see Canik improving on their excellent platform. I'm really eying the Mete SFT Pro as a Sec 15 occasional sports pistol or maybe this Mete SF can do the job for occasional club shoots and flex in as an EDC backup for self defense.
Juan, I bought the canik Rival - S that I am waiting for the licence to be approved but I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of the TTI combat. Just one question regarding the TTI recent failure to strike that is rising in the US and causing striker damage? What is being Done about the striker damage as the replacement spring is not the cause as per RU-vid channel Cheyenne precision?
We are aware of some instances where the TTI has had malfunctions and these have been addressed by revised springs and upgrades made available free of charge to US customers. Canik as a manufacturer believes in pro-active solutions and communication with customers. The TTI that will come to South Africa will have these upgrades. In South Africa there is a strong dealer network with trained staff that support Canik products with parts and backup. We hope this helps you and we look forward to seeing you on the range with your Canik Rival-S
What ammo would you recommend using from the get-go? Can i use factory reloads, or does it have to be factory rounds? Do i also have to service the firearm before shooting for the first time?
For the best performance and reliability, we'd recommend starting with quality factory rounds, especially for the first few hundred rounds as you break in the firearm. Stick with well-known brands like PMP (Pretoria Metal Pressings), Nobleteq, and S&B (Sellier & Bellot). While factory reloads can be more affordable, they might not be as consistent, and using them can sometimes void warranties, so it’s better to use factory rounds initially. If you decide to try reloads later, just make sure they come from a reputable source to avoid any potential issues. As for the initial service, a quick clean and lube before your first shoot is always a good idea to ensure everything runs smoothly.
I love caniks but customer service is awful. My MC9 was given me problem my mags would get stuck. But the mete sf is🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 definitely in my rotation with the sc
The Canik MC9's you get in the USA are manufactured in the USA at the brand new Canik factory in Florida that was opened end of last year. There are serous QC issues with the US made MC9's from poorly finished polymer frames to the most common issue of feeding issues that I suspect is due to out of spec barrels where the feed ramp or cam slot are out of spec. I won't be surprised is Canik USA are outsourcing the MC9 barrels to some US barrel maker and that the barrel manufacturer has some problems converting their CNC machines from imperial to metric system as they would be working off Canik's blue prints that are in Metric. The MC 9's CanikSA brings into SA are made by Canik Turkey as we don't have ATF regulations on pistols. In the USA under the Bush Snr administration restrictions on certain size and weight pistols were enacted and the ATF has a point system making it impossible to import pistols like the MC 9 due to many points it looses due to size, weight, capacity and having no manual safety, so the MC 9 doesn't get enough points to be imported into the USA.
