Ah, another issue I'm familiar with. The "last-name-legacy" curse. No, not privilege, not birthright, curse. Because real life isn't a fairy tale where we inherit the skills and talents of past generations like actual genetic traits. Nope, in the real world, we look at professors expecting us to be version 2.0 of our parents/grandparents. We tell them, "I'd like to do my own thing instead." And they act like we've insulted *their* parents instead of just choosing not to be exact replicas of our own. It all worked out in the end, thankfully. I found good friends who legitimately didn't care about my last name, and it made all the difference. Well, that was a rant and a half, wasn't it? Your audios have a habit of bringing this out of me, apparently. For which I applaud you even more. Also, I'm not gonna call Hissy the gift that keeps giving. She's the gift that you can't return. 😁

I really like this story and I hope it continues. The VA is amazing especially the familiar! And by the sound of it our witch despite her long bloodline she is the underdog, the Odd one in her family by being in the weakest class of magic. I can't wait to hear if she grows to become the strongest even though she is a tome witch or even find out that she is VERY SPECIAL! and can use all 3 types of magic, but obviously she has to unlock that locked potential within her, maybe even her lover can play a part in that as well!!!!

For some reason I can totally picture the MC standing there like "She forgot her coat again..."

Love the banter between the witch and cat, reminds me of all my favorite childhood memories. Tv and video games, etc.

First thought is how to help her circumvent the classes weaknesses: deathnote style pages being hidden on her body and against so she can always channrl, gloves with rolled pages inscribed with spells, etc

She should take a "page" from the mortals books: creative use of what you have can conquer the freaking world. If regular humans can take down apex predators with creative use of rocks and sticks, then a tome witch can definitely show up some snobby (I'm assuming) primal witches with creative use

I'm listening to this while imagining a scenario where the listener is an SCP Foundation staff/MTF operator/field agent, so they already know about the magical community. And with the magical community unaware of the anomalous, just that the Foundation and others exist.

As I watch them go through the portal only one thing on my mine besides how beautiful my girlfriend is.
