And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son. There is no one in the heavens and earth but that he comes to the Most Merciful as a servant. He has enumerated them and counted them a [full] counting. And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - the Most Merciful will appoint for them affection. So, [O Muhammad], We have only made Qur'an easy in the Arabic language that you may give good tidings thereby to the righteous and warn thereby a hostile people. And how many have We destroyed before them of generations? Do you perceive of them anyone or hear from them a sound? Ta, Ha. We have not sent down to you the Qur'an that you be distressed But only as a reminder for those who fear [ Allah ] - A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, The Most Merciful [who is] above the Throne established. To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth and what is between them and what is under the soil. And if you speak aloud - then indeed, He knows the secret and what is [even] more hidden. Allah - there is no deity except Him. To Him belong the best names. And has the story of Moses reached you? - When he saw a fire and said to his family, "Stay here; indeed, I have perceived a fire; perhaps I can bring you a torch or find at the fire some guidance." And when he came to it, he was called, "O Moses, Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. And I have chosen you, --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Page to the right: لِشَيْءٍ إِنِّي فَاعِلٌ ذَلِكَ غَدًا (23) إِلَّا أَنْ يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ وَاذْكُرْ رَبَّكَ إِذَا نَسِيتَ وَقُلْ عَسَى أَنْ يَهْدِيَنِ رَبِّي لِأَقْرَبَ مِنْ هَذَا رَشَدًا (24) وَلَبِثُوا فِي كَهْفِهِمْ ثَلَاثَ مِاْئَةٍ سِنِينَ وَازْدَادُوا تِسْعًا (25) قُلِ اللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا لَبِثُوا لَهُ غَيْبُ السَّمَوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ أَبْصِرْ بِهِ وَأَسْمِعْ مَا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا يُشْرِكُ فِي حُكْمِهِ أَحَدًا (26) وَاتْلُ مَا أُوحِيَ إِلَيْكَ مِنْ كِتَابِ رَبِّكَ لَا مُبَدِّلَ لِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَلَنْ تَجِدَ مِنْ دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَدًا (27) وَاصْبِرْ نَفْسَكَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ رَبَّهُمْ بِالْغَدَاةِ وَالْعَشِيِّ يُرِيدُونَ وَجْهَهُ وَلَا تَعْدُ عَيْنَاكَ عَنْهُمْ تُرِيدُ زِينَةَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَلَا تُطِعْ مَنْ أَغْفَلْنَا قَلْبَهُ عَنْ ذِكْرِنَا وَاتَّبَعَ هَوَاهُ وَكَانَ أَمْرُهُ فُرُطًا (28) وَقُلِ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيُؤْمِنْ وَمَنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَكْفُرْ إِنَّا أَعْتَدْنَا لِلظَّالِمِينَ نَارًا أَحَاطَ بِهِمْ سُرَادِقُهَا وَإِنْ يَسْتَغِيثُوا يُغَاثُوا بِمَاءٍ كَالْمُهْلِ يَشْوِي الْوُجُوهَ بِئْسَ الشَّرَابُ وَسَاءَتْ مُرْتَفَقًا (29) إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آَمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ إِنَّا لَا نُضِيعُ أَجْرَ مَنْ أَحْسَنَ عَمَلًا (30) أُولَئِكَ لَهُمْ جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْأَنْهَارُ يُحَلَّوْنَ فِيهَا مِنْ أَسَاوِرَ مِنْ ذَهَبٍ وَيَلْبَسُونَ ثِيَابًا خُضْرًا مِنْ سُنْدُسٍ وَإِسْتَبْرَقٍ مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ And never say of anything, "Indeed, I will do that tomorrow," Except [when adding], "If Allah wills." And remember your Lord when you forget [it] and say, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct." And they remained in their cave for three hundred years and exceeded by nine. Say, " Allah is most knowing of how long they remained. He has [knowledge of] the unseen [aspects] of the heavens and the earth. How Seeing is He and how Hearing! They have not besides Him any protector, and He shares not His legislation with anyone." And recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book of your Lord. There is no changer of His words, and never will you find in other than Him a refuge. And keep yourself patient [by being] with those who call upon their Lord in the morning and the evening, seeking His countenance. And let not your eyes pass beyond them, desiring adornments of the worldly life, and do not obey one whose heart We have made heedless of Our remembrance and who follows his desire and whose affair is ever [in] neglect. And say, "The truth is from your Lord, so whoever wills - let him believe; and whoever wills - let him disbelieve." Indeed, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose walls will surround them. And if they call for relief, they will be relieved with water like murky oil, which scalds [their] faces. Wretched is the drink, and evil is the resting place. Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds - indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of any who did well in deeds. Those will have gardens of perpetual residence; beneath them rivers will flow. They will be adorned therein with bracelets of gold and will wear green garments of fine silk and brocade, reclining therein on adorned couches. Excellent is the reward, and good is the resting place.

Why are christians so angry with this? Are you hurt?....or just loosing your faith in your bible...

As for you, (O Muhammad), you are receiving the Qur'an from the Most Wise, the All-Knowing.

The Quran has never been changed and never will inshallah

People in this comment section really hear what they want, the point of the video is IT IS THE SAME, the only difference is unsorted letters, you don't need to be a scholar to understand that for about 50 years after the Qur'an was written dots were introduced to guide in pronunciation, proof of it's old age in itself, and not evidence of corruption, simple really. But when you are hard hearted and wish for something to prove your preconceived notions, however misguided they are. I read people SAY this video is proof of something the video didn't imply, suggest or in any way do. Hate is a strong word but an even more powerful emotion, it clouds your judgement. Clearly. Woe that Day, to the denier. The right way has been clearly divided from the way of error.

the logic is pretty simple. Yes it's not exactly the same, but the words are still in the right place . The logic here is that a native reader of the Arabic language is able to read the Qur'an without the accents which represent the elongated vowels. Just like when I read the Qur'an in Arabic, I don't pay attention to the vowels(accents) at the top and pronounce it as if I was reading just the letters. However, there are classes for reading the Qur'an in the accepted ways of pronunciation, these do not change the actual meaning of the words. This is why the old Qur'an is written in an older style of Arabic, and the new one is easier to read with legible writting and vowels at the top. When the caliphs were trying to teach to non-Arabs who were learning the language, the people such as the Persians and Afghans, and the Turks had problems pronouncing things in the accepted manners. That's why there are Qur'anic reading classes. The same logic applies to the French language. Because I am both a native French and Arabic speaker, I can read words in French without the accents on them and still be able to decipher how it's properly pronounced. However, to someone who isn't a native speaker of the language and is trying to learn, their speech isn't as refined and can be confused whether or not the accents are even there. This is something I see when I take French classes in university, where some students started learning French a few years ago, while I started at the age of 5, hence why my pronunciation is a lot more refined than that of other students. Also even if the manuscript is old it’s not the oldest . The oldest are from 625 and they’re in a library in Algeria. that’s at the time of the prophet pbuh. On top of that, there was a time when these Kufic and other dialects of Arabic were allowed for writing the Quran. Eventually people started mispronouncing the Quran to the point where the rulers and scholars decided that no longer are those allowed and only the ancient Hejazi maawi (or however you spell it) dialect of Arabia which is the original dialect of the Quran will be allowed for mass production and distribution. That’s why ones like this were destroyed, because people basically said “forget this let’s just stick with exactly the original and then stick vowels in coloured markings on top to help with tajweed/pronunciation. After knowing the hand writing well and recognizing the pattern of their writing(no dots at times- no vowels at certain places- no ‘hamza’ sometimes), I read it very very very fluently and easily as if it is the Quran that I would use to read from today! Extremely proud! This is just affirmation, we already know this... Muslims memorize it by heart and pass it through generations that way, yet the book is identical to the one we have today.

As a muslim this discovery doesn’t affect my belief because deep inside I know Quran has never been changed.

The reason why Uthman (رضي الله عنه) ordered the burning of the older Qurans (story time)!! hudhaifa ibn yaman a companion of the prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) observed the difference in the dialect/reading of the quran in the newly conquered areas especially among the new converts, he got alarmed and reported to uthman (رضي الله عنه) and suggested immediate action should be taken lest something should happen to the quran as had been the case with the earlier scriptures of the Jews and Christians uthman then entrusted Zayed Ibn Thabit (رضي الله عنه) to make a number of copies of the Quran in the custody of Hafsah (a widow of the prophet) (its another story of ur interested) Uthman said to the three men entrusted with the task that in case they disagree on any point in the quran , the write it in the dialect of the Quraish as it was revealed in their tongue they did so and after they written many copies Uthman sent ever muslim province one copy and ordered that all quranic material be burned so in conclusion Uthman ordered the burning of the older Qurans to avoid people from coming up with different versions of it as had happened with the Christians and unite them all under on true quran

People in this comment section is misleading...The only meaning of the video is that the video is telling that the Qur'an then and now are different but they are indeed the same, the same in contents the in teaching and all the only difference is that the Early Qur'ans do not have some vowels and some lacking because at those times Arabic language is still in progress but the Qur'ans now are way more understandable and already have markings and vowels so the reader can read it rightly and understand it correctly and also pronounce it correctly.

Uthmaan asked Hafsah for the original copy of the Qur’aan and called on Zayd ibn Thaabit to head a committee of four Qur’anic scholars who would take on the task of making the official copies. When the copies were completed, the original was returned to Hafsah. A total of seven copies were made and one was sent to Makkah, another to Syria, one to Basrah, one to Kufah, one to Yemen, one to Bahrain and one was kept in the capital, al-Madeenah. Caliph ‘Uthmaan sent an official reciter of the Qur’aan with each copy in order to clear up any problems which might later arise. He also ordered that all other copies of the Qur’aan be destroyed, as people had made notes in their personal copies and some copies were incomplete. All new copies were then made from the official copy called Mus-haf Uthmaan, and in that way the Qur’aan was saved from any kind of change or loss. This process was completed in the year 646 C.E., two years after ‘Uthmaan became the new Caliph

Why wouldn’t the Koran be exactly the same? When an author writes a book who changes it? A book remain the same once it’s written like the Shakespeare books.

There is no such thing as an older Qur'an. There is only one version Qur'an. First of all every one has to understand that Arabs are a nation that learnt by heart and had little need for scripts. Secondly, the Arabs know there language very well and do not need markers to identify movement of letters. The Qur'an was preseved in the hearts of Sahabah who prayed behind Mohammed PBUH. Furthermore, Hafs RA, the wife of Mohammed and daughter of the Khalifah Omar RA kept a hard written copy of her own. During the early days of Islamic spread millions of non Arabs converted to Islam. They did not speak the language nor did they understand how to read it. Some of the Sahabah in an effort out of there own deeds started teaching the Qur'an to converts. Some of their readings was based on some of the seven toungs reading of Arabs that were allowed in the Qur'an from early days. Since Arabs understood that very well, there was no problem with these readings. As Islam became international, this Arabic variation became problematic. The early Sahabah detected that and asked the Khalifah Othman to authorize one and only one authentic version of Qur'anic Reading. The Khalifah gathered some of the most prominent Sahabah who read the Qur'an perfectly in the toung of Quriesh, as it was originally revealed, and asked them to write it down and counter check each other. After they finished this job he asked Hafs to lend the nation her copy of Mohammed's Qur'an. He ordered the Sahabah to compare both versions and report any discrpency. The two versions of Hafsa and Sahabah's were found to be exactly identical. Accordingly, Othman ordered the copying of this moshaf and forwarding it to the distant areas. Furthermore he ordered all other versions which were hand written by some Sahabah based on their own reading to be burnt so that non Arabs are not confused. Later on markers were added to the written Qur'an to identify motion of letters and elongation of vawls so that it is easier for the non Arabs to read it. Accordingly, the written copy of today's Qur'an was completed. The other seven toungs of Arabic reading is still taught today in Mecca for prominent scholar's.

More CHANGES IN THE QURAN All Muslim scholars concur-such as Al-Bukhari (part 6, page 225), Suyuti in "The Itqan" (part 1, page 170), and Ibn Kathir in "The Beginning and the End" (part 7, page 218) in which he remarks, "’Uthman burned the rest of the copies which were in the hands of the people because they disagreed on the (correct) reading and they fought among themselves. When they came to take ibn Mas’ud’s copy to bum it, he told them, ‘I know more than Zayd ibn Thabit (whom ’Uthman ordered to collect the copies of the Qur’an).’ ’Uthman wrote to ibn Mas’ud asking him to submit his copy for burning." On page 41, he adds: "Ibn Qutayba says that the differences between the recitations of the various Qur’anic copies may include the meaning also." Also on page 109, he says: "When Abu Bakr and ’Umar assigned Zayd ibn Thabit to compile the Qur’an, there was a previous compilation of the Qur’an made by a group of the greatest companions such as ’Ali ibn Abi Talib, ibn Mas’ud and ibn ’Abbas and others."

And surely We have explained matters to people in the Qur'an in diverse ways, using all manner of parables. But man is exceedingly contentious.

I don't understand: at first no one had a religion, then God said, Judaism is a religion, then he didn't like Jews and said Christianity is a religion, then he didn't like them also and said Islam is a religion? What about Hinduism and Buddhism and etc.. Why so many religions over the years? Or was someone benefiting from this all along?

Allahu Akbar Allah says I revealed the Qur'an and I will protect it from corruption

I'm under the impression that the uthman scribes created classical Arabic with nuqta around 900ad. So this manuscript did not institute a classical system of ashuric but the original construction of words, the ashuric tung only started with 19 letters not 26. I think that would explain why the letters are differentiated in the earliest manuscripts. The fact is the letters did not exists at that time they only came when uthman's writers instituted the classical nuqta system a couple or hundred years after the death of the prophet, peace be upon him.

So early copies of the qur'an were burnt by uthman? Surely gods words were protected & could not be burnt or destroyed by man.

Who is Allah? In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. 1. “Say (O Muhammad): “He is Allah, (the) One.” 2. “Allahus-Samad (Allah - the Self-Sufficient Master, Whom all creatures need).” 3. “He begets not, nor was He begotten.” 4. “And there is none coequal or comparable to Him.” He is Allah-there is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him: Knower of the seen and unseen. A number of Saudi-based experts in Quranic history who strongly rebut any speculation that the Birmingham/Paris Quran could have been written during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad. They emphasize that while the Prophet was alive, Quranic texts were written without any chapter decoration, marked verse endings or use of coloured inks; and did not follow any standard sequence of surahs. They maintain that those features were introduced into Quranic practice in the time of the Caliph Uthman, and so it would be entirely possible that the Birmingham leaves could have been written then, but not earlier.

Truly a miracle of Quran that Allah promised that it will be protected till the final day, today's discovery proves that the holy text has remained intact since the 7th century when the Quran was revealed to our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as guidance for humanity.

The Quran was completed and delivered to people by Prophet Muhammad during his life. That would make his mission complete. The Quran is for mankind so it had to be delivered by he Prophet Alone.

Genuine Muslims would prefer this oldest version of Quo'run to the later version of Quor'un, because later versions tend to be fake, with amendments, revisions, and alterations, here and there.

Pages may be old but not the writings. It was written on old papers in the first place.

How did the Quran got to Birmingham ( if that is in UK or USA) ? Who has transported this to Birmingham from middle east ? Who authorised the transportation of this book/fragment of the book ( if it is real...) and why ? God bless.

The claimed by Muslim that the Quran never change is now evaporate like a mists. And also they claimed that the Quran has only one version is now falling apart after the discovery of Yemeni text.

So is it Mecca or Beka? Some claim that Kaaba was moved to Mecca. Evidence that the original Holy City was in northern Arabia in the city of Petra. That during an Islamic civil war one hundred years after Muhammad PBUH, the Ka’ba was destroyed and the Black Rock was moved to its present location.

You read in so many places that Islam is the fastest growing religion today, and Muslims seem to be very proud of it. It is funny that they think different religions are in competition to be the one with the most adherents. Please be assured that Christianity is not in competition. Christian is on a mission to tell the world the Good News which is Salvation is in Jesus Christ only. Christians understand through the Bible that more will reject this Truth than accept it. The Bible says "... For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." (Matthew 7:13-15) Once the Truth is told - either through direct teachings or through the manifestation of living the true Christian lives - it is then between them and the God of Mercy. The Oldest Available Manuscript of the Qur’an is Different from the Uthmanic Version In 1972, some workmen were clearing out an attic in the Grand Mosque of Sana’a in Yemen. In the process, they discovered some manuscripts of the Qur’an. The Yemeni Antiquities Minister quickly realized that the manuscripts were very ancient and called for outside help in order to assess and restore them. One of the scholars who was involved in this project was the German Islamicist Dr. Gerd Puin. He established that the Sana’a Qur’an dates from the 680s CE. In other words it dates from after Uthman compiled the ‘Perfect Qur’an’. It was, furthermore, written in the style (in terms of the way letters are shaped) of the Arabian Peninsula, making it an even more important find than other ancient Qur’ans (e.g. the one in the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul and the so-called Tashkent Qur’an) that were copied in locations outside of Arabia. The interesting thing about the Sana’a Qur’an is that it differs significantly from the text selected by Uthman. This fact definitively disproves the idea that the the time of the third Caliph. Here we have a Qur’an in one of the most important mosques of the Arabian Peninsula dated after the supposed standardization of the text of the Qur’an, yet it is markedly different from the standard text. Puin’s work was, needless to say, very controversial in the Arab world, and he has been denied all further access to the manuscripts after publishing his initial findings. Nothing can, however, undo the knowledge that the oldest text of the Qur’an that we have does not correspond in all aspects to the Qur’an that millions of Muslims read and recite every single day. أكتشفت هذه المخطوطه الدكتوره ألبا فيديلي (Alba Fedeli )عندما كانت تقوم بتحضير رساله الدكتوراه في جامعه بيرمنغهام في المملكه المتحده أثناء بحثها عن بعض الكتب في مكتبه الجامعه, فعثرت بالصدفه على ورقتين من المصحف الشريف تحتوي على آيات من سوره مريم, الكهف, طه, المكتوبه على جلد الماعز, كانتا مخبئتان في المكتبه لسنوات طويله دون ان ينتبه اليهما أحد. تم إجراء تحليل الكربون المشع لاوراق المصحف في جامعه أوكسفورد المجاوره لكي يتم تحديد عمر المخطوطه, وأظهرت نتيجه التحليل أن عمر هذه الاوراق هو تقريبا 1370 عام, وأنها كتبت ما بين عام 570م - 632م , مما يرجح أنها قد تكون أقدم مخطوطه للقرآن الكريم. والمعروف أن بعثه النبي عليه الصلاه والسلام بحسب ما أجمعت عليه المصادر التاريخيه الاسلاميه كانت سنه 610 م ووفاته كانت سنه 632 م, لذا فان عمر هذه المخطوطه يرجح أنها كتبت في زمن النبي محمد عليه الصلاه والسلام أو في عهد ابو بكر الصديق كاقصى تقدير. وهذا هو الكلام الذي أكده العلماء الذين درسوا هذه المخطوطه المكتوبه بالخط الحجازي ( اقدم الخطوط العربيه المعروفه), في رابط الجامعه في الأعلى. تتكون هذه المخطوطه من مجموعتين من أوراق القرآن الكريم : المجموعه الأولى محفوظه تحت إسم ( Islamic Arabic 1572a ): وهي عبارة عن صفحتين , مكتوبه على الوجهين, تحتوي على الآيات من سورة الكهف من ( منتصف الآيه 17 وحتى الآيه 32),و الآيات 1-39 من سورة طه, وأول كلمتين من الآيه 40, وهي متطابقه مع القرآن الحالي تطابقا تاما بدون زيادة أو نقصان بحرف. أما المجموعه الثانيه فهي محفوظه تحت إسم (Islamic Arabic 1572b), وتتكون من 7 صفحات مكتوبه على الوجهين, تحتوي على الآيات 129-175 من سورة النساء, والآيه 5 من سورة المائده, والآيات 74-143 من سورة الأنعام, وهي متطابقه مع القرآن الحالي تطابقا تاما أيضا. تمت مطابقه بعض أوراق هذه المخطوطه مع القرآن الحالي , ووجد أنها متطابقه تطابقا تاما.

Heres a theory I have on this. Ok you remember when the American Christian war monger invaded Iraq and were killing men and children and raped the women there and stole gold and oil? well, amidst all that chaos the US tried to introduce a new Quran with the Jihad and other important verses taken out. They literally air dropped hundreds of copies over cities. There's only one problem, the Quran was in the hearts of men so their version was struggling whenever someone was reciting it. Imagine you're in a mosque and you're reading the wrong verses, there's always someone there to correct it! But it doesn't stop the non Muslims from trying to spread a false version but Allah has promised to protect it. Even if someone found a copy that was exactly from the time of the prophet we would recite the Uthman version. So my theory is, any old version in existence is haram for us, because the Khalif had ordered it burned due to potential malicious or unintentional mistakes. Malicious? How? Because it could have been written by a Christian or Jew troll to corrupt the message very early. Finding any copy of the Quran won't change what we have today. Thankfully for Muslims the rule of general consensus and Khalif makes the decision final, you know, democracy way before the west had it. Hahahahahaha. You sly pathetic people. We have an official copy under a Khalif who was guided by the Prophet and had companions and scribes compile the Quran. Anyone that went through the trouble of hiding a copy 1400 years ago had an agenda, they knew they wanted to spread mischief. Even some Muslim rulers have tried to make alcohol and formication halal! Looking for loopholes. Why? Because we are men and we have corrupt desires. So what would stop non Muslims? One small problem - its latest possible date predates the terminus post quem for compilation (and this text shows a chapter division). More interestingly, the early range of possible dates for the text predate Muhammad himself. We know that Allah was worshipped before Muhammad since both Allah and Allat (fem.) creature in theophoric names from Northern Arabia at a much earlier period. Likewise Allat appears to have been worshiped at Mecca. In either case this deserves serious attention, not merely a rush to explain away and appropriate text

How can you pass the quran orally for 1400 years? Even if the quran have only few sentences you can not pass it on perfectly even in few days. The quran that we are using right now was canonized in 1924, it is not even a hundred years old and we cant find any manucript that prove that it is 1400 years old.

The oldest Qu'ran was written according to carbon dating 40 years before Muhammed started Islam. That makes Muhammed a false prophet. He used this document to write the Qu'ran so it was not received from Gabriel or Allah.
