I'm so happy that someone's beliefs aren't deterring you from appreciating beauty. I'm a strong believer in remembering the past, since you can learn so much from it and prevent it in the future. But so many people today would rather forget the bad things since it makes them feel bad. But as we can see today, the immigration descrimination is still here in the US, towards Hispanics now instead of Asian descent. People forget so easily, and the past repeats itself.. It's very sad.

I think the difficult point of view is to know that trying to protect a culture can cause things to be a certain way, transition takes time and can hold dissonance, but all births are full of beauty and miracles the future is coming into focus.
