I personally would have been more interested to see how these compare in a putting scenario since I use other approach discs for these shots, and am trying to compare these on the green.
Awesome comparison video! Would be curious to see comparisons of several different putters in the Discraft lineup…something for the brand loyalists *cough cough*
Great video. Only small issue I have is when you were throwing them “flat” you were still hyzer flipping them. But I know a lot of players have a stock hyzer release.
So is the Challenger SS's rim rounded like the Luna or Roach, or does it have a flat angle? I've been looking for a beadless putter that has a flat underside of the rim like a zone, but one I can putt with.
Great video! My only critique is that the conclusion was pretty much exactly what you would expect, OS is OS, SS is slightly US, and standard is neutral. It might be more interesting to compare the different plastics for the same disc. There seems to be more variance there which is less understood especially by newer players. A Pro Destroyer flies a lot different than a Star Destroyer for example.
Thank you for your comment and I agree that they flew as expected (for the most part), but it was the reason for the video. To show just how different they are from each other in one place! In the case of the Challenger and SS I was actually surprised how they were identical in flight. For variations in flight due to plastic, I leave that for the individual disc reviews or plastic breakdown videos. Otherwise these would be about 10min long 😅.
@@CheatingLeftyDiscGolf the focus is pretty fun to throw. I think it’s good for shots where you need a good fade but you don’t want it to fade right out of your hand
