I’ve mistakenly ordered those mini resistors too. And never seem to learn my lesson, so I will again. They are particularly silly looking in tube guitar amps that use a turret board.

Just for fun, it would be interesting to see just how far you can go in building an amp using just one type of complementary transistors, for instance, the 2N3904 and the 2N3906, any number of them. Paralleling would definitely be allowed. Crazy? Maybe. Insane? Probably. But just think of the design philosophy that can be gleaned from such a Quixotic effort.

What is it with cats and plastic bags ? If I leave a bag on the kitchen counter and leave the room for 5 seconds, when I get back I know for sure that one of my cats will be there, lying on the bag, chewing one of the corners.

are those Toshiba made 2sc5200 and 2sa1943 or made by ON semiconductor in to-264 package? do they differ in sound quality? Toshiba ones are available in to-3p(N) package and they can handle 15amp current.
