@@tree3y763 I'm a Gujarati who has lived in Sindh all my life. I don't call myself a muhajir at all. We have our own land and vibrant culture. Gujarat has its ancient history in the Indus Valley Civilization which we share with Sindhis. My research work has been primarily on Sindhi language. I was taught that Gujarati communities owe much to Sindh as Sindh immigrant communities owe to Gujarat in India. Jaise Sindhi Hindu migrants Gujarat ko apni maa kehte hain waise ham Sindh ke Gujarati samaj Sindhu ko apni maa mante hain.

At a McDonald's in Karachi, I experienced a similar situation. I was wearing a shalwar kameez, and she started talking to me in English. I was conversing with my friend in Sindhi in the meantime. She ran out of words when I answered her in English. I used the chance to tell her not to judge people by their clothes and made a joke out of placing my order in Sindhi. 😄
