Im in south carolina right now, and my father has worked against alex murdaugh's firm as a claims adjustor in civil cases. My father always knew something was fishy about alex's cases, and he'd frequently have to deal with people on the opposing side being in his pocket. I hope they take serious anti-corruption measures with the judge, jury, and prosecution in this case, because it will be a legitimate threat to the distribution of justice in this case.
I think the chances of an honest trial in SC is not likely. I lived in GA and no one from State Reps to police is beyond taking a bribe. The lawyers are working together, they want motions and communications sealed because everyone including the judge knows this isn't going to be a fair trial. Murdaugh may be found guilty of something, but not murder.
If you aren't listening to the Murdaugh Murders Podcase by Mandy Matney, check it out. It's a very detailed analysis going back to the boat crash. There are 67 episodes so far, and it's free. I've been listening since the beginning even though I live 6,000 miles away. It's incredible journalism & very well produced. And I love that a woman is taking down the good ole' boys.
Every case that had AM's name on it should be reviewed. also the family of deceased boating victim MALLORY BEACH should file a wrongful death suit against the family of Paul Murdaugh.
Had he not stole from the firm I'm sure he would've gotten away with everything. His eldest already got away with murder and his youngest would've too. He simply didn't want to pay up for the wrongful death suit and probably figured collecting insurance on his wife and son would help with that issue. This family got away with so much, I partially blame law enforcement in their community for always giving them a pass. Including those now trying to prosecute him. They should've charged him years ago. Constantly giving them a pass made them feel untouchable... killing person after person after person. 5 people dead now. I hope he gets what he deserves.
@vlog squad The other 2 are Stephen Smith who went to school with one of the sons and Gloria Satterfield who was their housekeeper. If you haven’t checked out the Murdaugh Murder podcast I recommend you give it a listen, it’s on RU-vid and runs through the timeline
What goes around comes around, they let the son get away with murder , now his whole corrupt family will pay dearly, hope they charged his corrupt judge father as well.
Is it normal to have “plain clothes” police escorting a prisoner into court? Or is this a special perk to make him not look as guilty as the evidence we’ve heard so far? Every video where someone is lead into court, it’s clear who the sheriff’s deputies are
The dark day's of reckoning seems to be on for the murders, thefts drugs & affairs and it's going to show how much they got away with "almost got away with".. Justice for all..
What a sick sick man to do something like this. He was obviously out of his mind thinking he could get away with this. How do you spend millions on an opioid addiction? Reality is stranger than fiction.
Yep it is. Very quiet but very authorative judge. His sentencing comments of Rowland really hit home. He also didn't take any rubbish when Rowlands mother tried to dispute the verdict.
I havenever seen a prosecution and defence standing so close during proceedings or so cosy and friendly in court when court is adjourned. This looks like a good ol’ boys club. Odd indeed.
Can't even slightly begin to feel what being shackled and handcuffed to chains locked around your waist. It must come with a sense of dragging weights around. Jewelry given to you by anyone in law enforcement comes with a high price.
God made each innocent child. What that child is given in environment is patents responsibility. What that person does with environment AND choice, is WHO THEY BECOME! It is always a complex process. Learn to do right early, it is easier to do. The longer bad choices are accepted/made, the further into utter darkness they go.
IS it normal for that to me said or was this just a smart arse look self important crap? Think here in Scotland if you were to say that there would be laughs and a Psychiatric report called for!
This judge was the judge in another high case with the guy that killed the women that mistook her killer for her Uber and he was amazing in that case so I think he will be a just and fair judge
Because he had privileges beyond privileges he felt above the law and actually done whatever he pleases affords even more privilege that all motions are sealed. What about a person without privilege commiting outrageous crimes are they going to get this privilege of hiding the facts in their cases too. Or do these people with privilege get special treatment no matter what insane things they do. Outrageous
This is the same Judge who put away that man who killed that woman who got into his Uber Taxi last year. I'm from England, can someone tell me why he murdered his wife and Son please.
I´m old now, but still remember borrowing money from a friend whom I never paid back; stole from my first boss some cash, cheated on my ex wife and lied about it. There is not a single day which goes by that I don´t regret, feel ashamed, wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it hoping to go back and undo my wrongdoings. I do feel bad for this guy because if he still has some sense of morality, honor and remorse he cannot sleep at all. Some nights I Can´t! I´m so sorry!
Looks like prison food doesn't appeal to Mr. Murtaugh. He has lost considerable weight. He looks healthier and maybe he will live long enough to serve time for his crimes. Even with his family putting money on his books, Ramen noodles can only go so far.
@@cattnipp he presided over the Nathaniel Rowland case and was no nonsense. He believes the public had a right to hear and see what goes on in a courtroom and follows strict protocol. It seemed as thought the AG and the defense attorney wanted to run the show thus far, but this judge will not tolerate it for long.
@@cattnipp the motion to seal the discovery prior to trial. Why is that so terrible? That entire state knows who the family is and instead of tainting the jury selection, I'd rather discovery be sealed versus prolong the judicial process. You nor anyone else needs to know the details of the case the State is about to present until it's being presented. Judges seal documents in cases all the time. Not like this will be forever.
Omg, this prosecutor is ridiculous, he really is trying to put on a show an tant the jury pool, like why he ask for victims to speak like seriously, he's declining bail.
Alex Murdaugh looks like a different person here, The shaved head and weight-loss. Kind of makes him look more innocent than the previous court hearings I've seen. But the evidence points to guilt it seems. I think his denial of being at the kennel that night when he was on video is the best clue pointing to his guilt. His voice is very distinctive and unless he has a relative that has a voice similar to his that he can throw under the bus lol, he's done 🙃
His day has come. We knew this would be the case. Alex is the quintessential narcissist, and one who sailed through life on his terms. So many ruined lives, so much damage. He’ll never admit anything, but his day has arrived and now he will pay the price.
