@@seewhatisee8750 You'd be surprised. Steve was actually homeless for awhile and had to struggle to stay safe. It's sad but there are people out there who are just really mean.
@@AlphaFoxAdamSteve’s been through a ton in the past 3 years for you to just pop in with ignorance. It’s clearly a constantly changing creative venture with no ill intent. He did it alongside his wife, his best friend, and lost them both in the span of 2 years. This is how he feels closest to them.
😢😢😢I didn't know either.. I remember his wife's passing.. what a wonderful strong real man Steve is. God bless him, his loved ones and all his devoted follwers@@RainForestLeDoux
Steve is a genuine and likeable guy, him sleeping in weird places and under weird circumstances is absolutely mesmerizing, but I think people are more into it cause they just love watching a nice guy doing his own thing.
I've taken a 1-2 hour nap in the middle of the day in the back of my work van for 6 years. I've learned people DO NOT ask questions when you are in a marked work van with ladders on top.
exactly, no one thinks twice about it. The only downside is criminals that might wanna find stuff to steal, although in this case garden waste and tarps aren't very lucrative.
My dad used to work downtown toronto for a phone company, as a walking crew. Oh the places a man with a tool belt can just boldly enter and go :) He is always curious about every hallway and door in every building we go into 😂
Brilliant. I never in a million years would have looked at a truck of yard waste and ever thought, there's a potential stealth Steve camp. Well done sir.
Steve Wallis - living every 12-year-old’s dream, one stealth camping adventure at a time ⛺️ I’ve been watching you since the beginning and you just keep upping your own game - GOAT.
This has been my life since the beginning of the year. I urban stealth camp in my sedan since escaping an abusive situation. When I crawl in the back, I go head first. And when I crawl to the front, I go feet first. It's a twisting technique.
He shouldn't go that far for that. The God sees and remembers everything then there will be the Judgment. "So, you're stating that you ain't prostitute, but the faithful wife of anonymous trinity of the Husband? I'm so sorry about that unfortunate misunderstanding, ma'am..."
Steve, I did nine hours at work today, then five hours helping my brother in law move a 400 pound one piece pool table he bought on FB marketplace, got my kid fed then took him back to his mothers house, it’s now 1am and I finally got to sit down for dinner, saw you had a new video, and I found you with THIS, you built what looks like a booth at Olive Garden but one you can sleep in located in the back of your pickup. Absolutely the thing a kid dreams of when building a fort. Love the hair game, love your videos, love you, THANK YOU for doing what you ALWAYS do which is take me away from my life for a little while and help remind me of doing the things I dreamed about as a kid. Camping in crazy places.
Sounds like one heck of a busy day, my friend! Some of those delicious bread sticks would definitely have been a nice addition to the meal. Thanks for your dedication! Cheers :)
It's a truly brilliant disguise, but it's also a talking, snoring, glowing pile of branches that smells like broccoli. Always good to see you, Steve! 😃
I love that you are still hanging in there and doing this for you and all of us. For those who don't know your story, I won't mention it here, but I appreciate you so much. I take inspiration from you Steve. Thank you for powering through the hurt and bringing people like me so much joy Steve. You are awesome, and you have all of us!
Stapling screen material inside the pallets and finding a way of gasketing the pallets to the window could really help the bug situation. I love the ingenuity of this one!
I can imagine people walking by the truck thinking, "This is the most delicious smelling pile of yard waste I've ever smelled! I get hints of broccoli and sausage!" 😂
Steve " Never leaves us hanging " !!! Branching out while bugging out !!! You're so creative, and continue entertaining the viewers. When the smoke clears, Steve is branches ahead on " The Stealthy Gauge " !!! I keep watching as you seamlessly and stealthily deceive us with your presence. Always, Syn Silver.
I agree with everyone who commented positively about the "camouflage." This is an ingenious idea. The hanging, broken mirror adds to the "junk-mobile" facade. Larry from Texas
I tried watching other videos to learn more about camping and I can't undo the feeling of betrayal that kicks in knowing it's not Steve!! Watching Camping with Steve with all the ''hunkering down'', ''the step twos'' and the whole range of culinary treats is what gets a real hold on me!! It makes it undeniably special and unique. Stealthiness master mode on means Steve Wallis masterminding an improvised shelter on the back of a truck covered in bushes trimmed off his sidewalk and a bunch of pallets well put together under a tarp! Can it get better than this?? hahaha Definitely the best episode of ''Camping with Steve'' !
I think the appeal is the fact that Steve can take something goofy and make it entertaining without an agenda. Most of his projects are flawed from the beginning but work out just fine. Keep at it Steve! You are loved and followed by like minded souls around the world!
I was putting in my daughter car seat. Instead of going in the back, popping the rear hatch, I crawled halfway back and got stuck. I was going to call for help, but my pride was too great. I start thinking like a survivalist. I'm looking for water and food as it could be half an hour before my wife is going to start looking for me.😂
Condolences about crazy neighbour .Probably didnt need it after other troubles . He was like a companion and mentor in one . Ive lost close friends and relatives suddenly and wonder why . All the best
This parking lot is getting fuller, and fuller.... What to do? Crawl in back, and start cooking! You have once again made the world a little bit better
Okay Steve this setup is probably one of my absolute favorites, not only is it the perfect disguise but also it doubles as a real swanky interior with the wood and plants. Now I want one! Great video as always!
Thank you for the shout out for donations for the loss of the Jasper Township. Too many ppl displaced at a critical time during a housing crisis. Thank you. ❤️
Hi Steve my name is Johnny Thomas and I just want to send my deepest condolences for crazy neighbor your shows are completely awesome and I think why people like it so much is cuz they wish they could be there and be out with nature and do the simple things cooking and having a great camping buddy just makes me feel better all the time unfortunately I have Lyme disease very badly for years and been very sick with it I'm not able to do much camping or much traveling unfortunately so when I watch your show I feel like I'm there with you along and I appreciate it so so so so so much and God bless crazy neighbor what an awesome uplifting great spirited man can't wait to see the new videos coming up and you're right he would want you to continue to do what you do so many millions of people love you dude
I lived in a jeep Wrangler 4 door for years.... Nobody knew i was living in it. I hung a hammok on the inside trom front corner to the back adjacent corner. Worked like a charm! Ive lived in vehicles for the past 10 years. I always make it look like im not living in it. I keep my trash picked up and i dont hang out outside. I used to work over night then id park my jeep at a trailhead or a state park all day while i sleep id hear kids and families closing car doors and after a while it worked for me.
Idk how your car hasn't been broke into , I can't go gold mining in any of my good spots without some democrats breaking in and taking anything of value if I'm gone for just 2 hrs , I couldn't image if someone tried to rob me while I'm sleeping in my car
Not only are Steve and his videos the best, I truly enjoy reading through the comments! What a great yt community that has formed around this incredible person. Kudos to all , fellow watchers , you also make my day and bless you for such kindness ❤
Just discovered Real Mechanic Stuff, like an hour ago, & just blown away by the comment community. Even tho it was a reaction video, they were spot on with their responses. IDK if they were random host or not, but they were given lots of love. Really cool to see.
A great disguise. No one is going to look at that truck and think "There is someone camping in there!" I am glad you put out a new video. I love the 17 different camera angles of you crawling out of the window. Very creative.
I love that the world doesn't have enough stealth camping spots right now. And Steve is just like "Fine, I'll do it myself" and makes his own. Remember to leave a Step 2 outside in the bushes in case Steve rolls through your neighborhood.
Hey Steve, just wanted to say my mom was having a bad day and we sat down and watched your video last night and I hadn’t seen her laugh like that in years! thank you!!
Steve, this video is one of my absolute favorites. You are, without a doubt, the “Hunker Down”, “Stealth Camping King!!!” I enjoyed watching this video so much. Adapting the pallets to form your shelter, to the woven branches to disguise the whole setup, AWESOME!!! I never get tired of your imagination and willingness to try new things. You’re the best. Please do a cook book, I always get hungry watching your videos. Stay safe, “Hunker Down” and thank you for doing what you do, you never disappoint.
Yesss!! I love Steve's story, I feel he's been through so much, I want to see him take time to pamper himself! Maybe one episode where he goes to a "glamping" spot, or goes to one of those fancy yurts with a spa on site or something ? Just love to see Steve and I agree he deserves to treat himself ✨
Awww, a little tribute salute for Crazy Neighbour, always in our hearts! Great stealth camp idea!!! That's a home run! Take care. We'll see you next time! 💛💛💛
i was a landscaper for a few years, and we used to just load the trucks up with stuff like this, and i used to imagine just. crawling into it lmao. this is inspired and incredible and so much fun! wonderful idea, thank you for sharing it with us!
Thank you. First time to your channel. You are a great husband and caregiver. I care for my ex-wife. Her memory is flawed. Lives in the present ok for the most part. She had heavy duty radiation and chemo to her head and neck in 2009. Survivor. She doesn't know what we talked about 3 days ago, a month ago, etc. I don't know where this is going with her. Her medical team has seen older white delamination areas in her brain. Nothing definitive... we've been together mostly for 40 years. Anyway, I found your video today pretty helpful. I'll keep you guys in my prayers.
Theres alot of camping channels out there now and alot of stealth campers etc but i fully believe the reason Steve has such a large and loyal following is because of how genuine of a person he is. He is truly a kind hearted, honest and resilient person and i really commend him for it. Not to menion his creativity is amazing, from the first few shots i thought he was going to be sleeping in a pile of tree trimming until i saw the inside! absolutely mind blowing! Thanks Steve for the many years of entertainment, i still remember watching you camping out many years ago while you was doing your training
I gotta say that I just love you Steve, I was having a terrible day and then I saw this video and now it’s like you filled a hole in my soul. Thank you
