Disgustingly Moldy PetSmart Garfield Heights, OH Exploring With Richard and Kara Wolf

That extremely black moldy area is Banfield Vet, they are partnered with Petsmart in nearly all.their stores

That stock in back is older than ALLLLLL of my senior pets.

A lot of those buildings in that shoping center are stucturally unstaible since it was built on a landfill. Through out the shopping center you can see how far it has sunken. They also have methane leaking into the building

It's a shame that all the product was left behind and not being able to be used instead of them giving it away what a waste thank you for showing this building it was interesting to see interesting to see all the mold in one place really in the back must have had a water leak back there for a while

This place very moldy. I guess that's what 10 years of little to no maintenance does to the building. It would to be completely gutted to ever serve a purpose again I've heard there is an unfinshed old navy next door that was abandoned.

When The former rainbow foods that was in Robbinsdale Minnesota got demolished, there was black mold rapping all around the store, me and my brother and my dad were there for the demolition

I would recommend a full face mask for mouldy places because mould spores have been known to enter the body through the water in your eyes. Getting an old military one would probably be the cheapest, but a Fernez Paramasque in 40mm NATO would work. It isn't the most comfortable, but functional. The voice diaphragm is large so you'll be easier to hear. An AVON S10 or FM12 mask would be ideal. Pair this up with an FFP3 filter, or you could use an ABEK filter instead which will have the FFP3 filter, but will also scrub the air of toxic gases too. It has a voice diaphragm that you can attach microphones to, and also a cone at the front where the exhale valve is that makes you easy to hear. It has a drinking tube for if you need water while wearing it. Much safer than removing the mask and exposing yourself temporarily to the spores. Just a short respirator safety notice: Ensure to check that the inhale and exhale valves are intact, and always do a pressurization and depressurization check on the mask to ensure those valves are holding their seals before use. This involves covering the exhale/inhale valves and breathing out/in to ensure the air isn't escaping the wrong way through the mask. This will also help in determining if you have fitted the mask correctly. ABEK filters have an expiration date. When this expires, the FFP3 filter within it will likely remain intact, and will stop particulate from getting in. But it will no longer scrub the air reliably for toxic gases/fumes.

This building needs to be demolished ASAP, it cannot be sold to the public like this.

I remember passing here in my childhood, disgusting place... I was last here in 2017, i'm truly shocked this is in decent condition.. better than the Ames in Essex.. By last here I mean last passed, but still everything has to be shocked the Giant Eagle is still open, not planning to close anytime soon..

Also there’s an abandoned K Mart in Shelby NC on US highway 74 that I pass weekly that’s begging for you to check out. I drive an 18 wheeler tractor trailer and pass by these locations every other day, but don’t have time to stop. These are verified. All the best, and stay awesome! .

I actually visited this place around 2019 . I knew a person that lived in Garfield Heights. She was a former girlfriend that I use to date until her parents moved to Ohio. She use to shop at the City View Center when she was younger, she once told me that the former Circuit City was her favorite place to shop. Anyway I wanted to take some time off and I head about my former girlfriend living in Ohio. I travel to Garfield Heights and stay there for about two weeks. My former girlfriend heard about the City View Center where she use to shop had some abandoned stores and she thought about going into one of them. So went into the Pet Smart that had a small opening. Course by the time we visited the place it was boarded up in some spots however we were able to find our way in. I began smell a musty smell of the place, but I just assume that how a building smells after not being use for a while. But I was not prepare for the amount of mold that was in this place. The mold was just as bad as it was then and yet we went in very in this place. My breaking point was the very room that had the fax machine. The moment I saw how black the walls were, I was done. I just hastily ran out of the building just telling my former girlfriend, "The wall are black with mold." So afterwards I still shivering about the black mold so we went into the one market that somehow is still open and bought some bags of chips and candy and just hiked around the land that would have been the stores but were never built. But I'll never forget the day visited here, who knew that mold could make someone quiver. If those horror video games are missing in their backgrounds it's black mold in the wall.

That PetSmart definitely in the worst condition than the rest, the mold definitely beats the smell of methane on the property.

Great video, and I heard you just fine. Smart to use those respirator masks. That place is like mold city and combined with the methane makes a nice toxic dump. Very creepy. Funny how they left all the signs for the pet foods EXCEPT CATS!!!! Maybe someone came in and took all the Cat signs. And as someone said they could have donated those products in the back. I've heard some bad things about PetSmart: dogs dying in grooming areas, pets getting sick in the boarding/PetSmart hotel area (why you hire an independent pet sitters.) And whomever ran that store is an insensitive idiot to leave the Pet Loss sign up. Keep it in the office. LIke you Wallie I don't need to see that. I see enough from Facebook and my clients seeing their pets cross the bridge. You all should combine your City Video segments to one big documentary! The toxic Mall!
