I want to cry when the new vocalist is trying to sing songs J. R Richards. They have been writing new songs, and it is already very long no albums... of Course it was good to see the old crew Dishwalla.
I think that's a particular and diffcult place for a new singer to replace a voice that is "learned", and already liked by the public. Difficult to make it's place especially for the voices. AC/DC for example, it was hard for Brian at the beginning. I would say that i really really loved the new album Juniper Road, new band with new voice. A bit more difficult for the older songs, 'cose my ear is used to.. But well, with time, listenning many times, and it will be great. To the singer : You have the great voice to, and i wish you good luck. ;) Love Dishwalla songs, long lives.
I don't see the point of some people still trying to compare the voices of Both singers of course they are different. he is not trying to replace the original one guys just appreciate what he is doing just enjoy the songs man. Just my two cents.
because this just isn't the same band. If they wrote new material and stopped playing the old, it'd be ok. They're inviting it by insisting on playing these original tunes at about 60% of their former glory.
any band would bring a singer with a voice similar to the previous one for the conservative fans to continue. the validity of classical songs depends on it. what comes next is in we will see.
tsk tsk tsk oh where's J.R ? oh my this is not ok.... the new vocal are good but there's nothing perfect the original voice of dishwalla and thats is--------------J.R stop using dishwalla make new band name for new vocals... your wasting your time i knew it........ look at this voice rate the new one cant replace the original already rate 100% because of the originality vocal and voice performance tunes timing the new need got atlist average so the result is look at this 1.GIVE 75%average 2. angels or divels 60%poor 3.somewhere in the M 60%poor 4.everything little thing 60%poor 5. counting blue C 70%poor 6. collide 80%good
+jun flosil I totally agree....I think he's a good/ok singer but the texture of his voice isn't the Dishwalla we all love. This would be better if it were a new band so we wouldn't rate it against the old stuff.....I'll go see JR but not this band.
Sorry to say but although the singer is a decent fellow, he is not what makes Dishwalla sound what we want to hear. Same as Steve Perry not singing in Journey and another trying to replace. Or the current younger lad trying to be Peter Cetera in Chicago. It doesn't really work.
