Yeah it was my Grandpas Tractor. They bought it new in 1959 and it has been in the family ever since. When my dad was growing up they used that tractor to rake hay, so my dad pretty much grew up on that tractor. My Grandpa started restoring it but he sadly passed away 2 years ago so my dad got it and finished it. It is a handy tractor to have around.
MY dad had a 730 diesel electric start with decompression pedal and a 14 ft AW disc. It was a good tractor till it was regulated to planting but, the crankshaft broke in 1970 while planting beans

My favorite tractors list: Any Johnny Poppers (A, B, D, G, M, 430, 630, etc), 10 Series (Exp-4010), 20 Series (Exp- 4320), 30 Series (Exp- 4230/ My personal tractor ), 40 Series (Exp- 4440), 50 Series (Exp- 8650), 55 Series (Exp- 4955), 60 Series (Exp- 4760), and 70 Series (Exp- 8970) All these make up my tractor Ring of Honor!
They were extremely efficient, from what I've read, and John Deere struggled for a long time trying to get fuel efficiency back after they went away from them. All the John Deeres we had were all various 2 cylinder models.
