DO NOT repeat this method until all the pressure has been released.
This video shows the disassembly and reassembly of a Mares Pneumatic Speargun... about a 2005 model I think (it is pre-EVO1 and EVO1.1)
I used 10W fork oil to re-oil. I did this both by pouring some down the inner barrel when dismantled and also some with the 'pump method' where some is sucked up the hand pump and injected into the rear inlet valve during pumping to re-gas. From what I can find, 20mls or so should suffice... but check the dealership/local rep.
NOTE: This gun had already lost all the air during a catastrophic failure underwater where the muzzle failed and the head ferrule blew out. I had to purchase a new muzzle and ferrule, shock absorber and piston. I went to a local Mares dealer in Cairns and they ordered the parts from Mares. They don't normally let people service their own guns, so you may need to pressure your local dealer.
Yes I use some of the wrong terminology throughout the video (washers interchangeably with O-ring's for example). But if you can't figure this out, you shouldn't be servicing your own gun - so take it to a dealer!
Yes my shirt is backwards.
I would like to say on purpose due to lack of sponsorship, but alas, nothing that cool lol. This is my first 'how to' video so give me a break :)
