I think Poland's shut down might be next when Disney+ launches over there. The music used in the shut down card were theme songs of Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls, DuckTales (the new one) and Big City Greens.
I find it pretty interesting that in Turkey (and maybe other countries) disney aired full commercials. Here in the U.S. the only commercials are promos for disney (mostly its shows and movies, though they used to air promo for the parks and cruises via Disney 365 frequently as a kid), the occasional short (usually in between shows since the time was longer), and if there is something from another company they're shorter than the same commercial on another channel like Nickelodeon. It will usually be: *shortened version of the commercial* "*insert brand here* is a proud sponsor of Disney Channel/Disney Junior"
The Turkish version was free-to-air, and like other FTA TV channels in Turkey, they went airing commercials in Turkish TV style, the "Reklamlar" thing at top-right, programme information at bottom-right, and even the logo are in transparent mode (not so transparent, but the logo had to be different from during show's logo, which was unusual case in Disney channels but was a thing in Turkey). And yeah, they really aired lot of commercials.
When Disney Channel Turkey closed down, the goodbye message to viewers at the end should have said "Due to circumstances beyond our control, Disney Channel is no longer available in Turkey. Your favorite Disney Channel shows will be available on Disney+ when it launches in June. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you for your continued support over the past 15 years!"
It's like Star Vs being the last show to air on a Disney owned network before it shuts down is like a curse. First Disney XD in the Middle East, then Disney Channel in Southeast Asia and now Disney Channel in Turkey.
@@ZebyWebby mexico shut down while airing pickle and peanut (for totalplay and izzi) wander over yonder (sky) and other stuff i don't know i ain't no disneyxdician
Its so great that the Turkish signoff wasn't just cut in the middle of a show or a comertial with no music and a black screen that says disneys stopped brodcasting, go away. It at least looked like some care was put in it
I do think it was a bit weird to close the channel *several months* before the launch of D+ - if they'd've just held off until its Turkish launch then at least people would have an immediate alternative way to watch their content
Hay una licencia RTÜK de 10 años otorgada por el estado de Turquía, pero aunque la licencia RTÜK de Disney Channel expiró el 12 de abril de 2022, cerraron el canal el 1 de abril.
I've just learned that currently, nearly 2 weeks after launch, Disney+ in Turkey have only a small selection of Disney Channel series, especially those animated. There's no Gravity Falls, no Star Vs., no Big City Greens, no DuckTales reboot, there's even no Amphibia and The Owl House. This is pretty disappointing for all Disney viewers in Turkey and they probably won't use Disney+ as often as it should be, when the content is missing.
I live in Turkey and watched Disney Channel like a month ago when it was closing. Disney betrayed us for money. Disney, which I grew up with since 2012, has closed and this is a huge injustice. Walt Disney decided to close because they thought there was a low number of viewers and the Disney Channel Turkey team announced that it would close because there was nothing they could do about it. REALLY ??? bruh, what an excuse! There are millions of people watching Disney Channel in Turkey. I am really sad . They took away our childhood 😭 WE STİLL LOVE U DİSNEY. WE WİLL NEVER FORGET YOU 💖
@@Kralyktr I’m not saying I’m not happy, I would of been fine with the movie bc I like it, I’m just saying I like that show and I was happy with it being aired, I’m not saying I wouldn’t be happy with a movie. Also the part in your comment that says I guess the sun hit your head, the same day I got sun burn lol
I remember this vividly. We watched star fights against bad things or something like that. The channel shut down. The next day we came to watch it again with my cousin. It was still your favorite disney bla bla. 2 years passed. I was bored and scrolling for channels. Then i saw disney channel. They still played the fineas and ferb theme song. That day I thought: Maybe if i buy disney+ it would air again! It didnt. Its not the same experience. RIP Disney Channel Türkiye
I mean they already f'd Fox and FX and the side channels for them in other countries. In some other video by this RU-vidr, nat Geo people (which is a channel I never heard of) shut down in some country.
I don't think these channels will not get closed because fox is continues with other Turkish channels (drama serials, which makes profit enough) and others are released in paid platforms (known channels like fox, kanal d etc. are free in Turkey )
foxlife, nat geo people, nat geo music, Fox sports closed in turkey, but there is no closing moment on the net. Also, they don't close Fox in Turkey because Fox is the 2nd most watched channel in Turkey.
@@rickricky5896 i think the reason why everyone loves this channel it's because it has originality on their content, ofcourse turkey banned those in the channel cause it had lgbtq and even more
In what countries is Disney channels currently available? Also the jingle was also in Egypt and I hate to say it’s nostalgic even though I hate Disney and have hated Disney for , well a long time
USA, Canada, Mexico (without XD and Junior), Poland, Netherlands, France (without Disney XD), Germany (without XD and Junior), Spain (without Disney XD), Japan (without Disney XD), Africa/Middle East (without Disney XD) I might missed some
ok. I have a question: so disney+ was released a while ago in my country and I'm feeling concerned. and in September 2022 Disney channel has rebranded. nvm. here's the actual question: Will Disney Channel shut down in Bulgaria?
Yapmayacaklar. Disney'in çoğu şirket gibi paraya aç olduğu açıktır ve Disney+'a para ödemeniz için HER ŞEYİ yapacaktır. Google Translate'i kullandığım için türkçem kötüyse özür dilerim.
İn English she said Hello friends. I am umut. Today I have news that concerns all of you very closely. While this news makes me sad, it also gives new hopes to me. Because, like every goodbye, a brand new beginning is born in this farewell. We are now saying goodbye to our magic channel Disney. But as I just said, this is never the end. Because now our favorite content, even the ones we want to watch all the time, will be on Disney+ and we will be able to watch it whenever we want. And even though we say goodbye here, we will continue to be together again. You know where to find me from now on. See you soon in a brand new era. (I am srry if ı made some grammer mistake , pls ignore them )
@@Cocytus2002 Apparently I read on a forum that they're not closing the disney channels because they already know they won't get many people, in CEE, so yeah
