Day 3 of our magical Walt Disney World Cruise aboard The Disney Wish starts off in our Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah as we prepare to explore Castaway Cay, Disney's private island in the Bahamas.
After another tasty breakfast in the Marceline Market, we get off the ship and head for Serenity Bay - the adults only beach on the far side of the island. On the way we browse some of the island-themed merchandise in the many little shops.
On arriving at Serenity Bay we are disappointed to find that most of the beach is closed due the inclement weather earlier that morning. The tide is in and the sea is very rough and uninviting - not very serene! So we hop back on the next tram to the Family Beach which we actually find to be very civilised with plenty of space and available sun loungers.
After floating around in the wonderful warm sea and enjoying some Caribbean cocktails, Tracey, Keith and Luke decide to grab some lunch at Cookie's BBQ while Daisy sunbathes.
On the way back the the ship, we enjoy some ice-cream from one of the self-serve ice-cream stations.
Back onboard, we freshen up and go to Mickey and Friends Festival of Food for Daisy to grab some lunch. The sweet cravings kick-in so Keith buys a cookie from Joyful Sweets and Daisy and Tracey head to The Bayou for some of Mama Odie's Beignets.
Next, it's showtime! First, we thoroughly enjoy the production of The Little Mermaid in the Walt Disney Theatre and then we head up to Deck 11 for Mickey and Minnie's Pirates In the Caribbean Show.
We're back in the Arendelle dining room for our Caribbean-themed Pirate Night dinner with our lovely servers - Michael, Netra and Marco.
We have a brief look in Mickey's Mainsail before heading back to the room where we find some more amazing towel art and gold (chocolate) doubloons from our stateroom host, Yoga.
Keith and Tracey make their way to Deck 12 starboard as recommended by Michael as the best place to watch the fireworks. It's also a great place to catch the action from side of the upper stage area for the Pirate's Rockin' Parlay Party. A typically magical night onboard The Disney Wish.
