Disney Dreamlight Valley. This Is What #1 Submission Reward Looks Like! Developers Lied to Us? 

My hope is that people have fun with it, and we keep a humble, kind, and grateful attitude. I know several children that play, and my adult mentally disabled brother plays. There also are probably people who just hate decorating or don't have an artistic eye. Not everyone will be in the top tier, and getting even 300 moonstones should feel like an accomplishment to people. It's a positive thing no matter how many moonstones people get.

I’m trying harder with each attempt. With the earth and air one, my idea was a steampunk pilot in an aircraft and mannequins as the crew. It feels like it might not translate to most people but I enjoy expressing my creativity whether or not I get a lot of moonstones out of it.

I love seeing submissions with gorgeous backgrounds! I placed in the top 8000+ and got 2500 moonstones. I just love this kind of feature where we can create things beyond our imagination and make it come to life, that's what makes dreamsnaps so special❤

Also a personal preference of mine, I like it when there's a lot going on decoration wise! I very much embrace the clutter core aesthetic and tend to vote for submissions with more going on than less going on. Less decorations tends to look not as good to me

Look at what they scored most have like 70.00 & above no matter their placing seems to got the 4000, I believe that is what they mean by points, depending how many items you can fit in there that fits the theme words.

We should compare the PS members against the "everyone else" bracket. That will give us the numbers they coded. I think they are percentile-based.

Okay while the moonstones are generous this system just does not make sense to me!!! 4,000 moonstones for someone who ranked 11 AND for someone who ranked 5,000? I don't get that at all

I really love the dreamsnaps so far. It gives us something new to do every week, and you can change your mind and resubmit all you want until the deadline. The rewards are great, and it challenges your creativity. And I honestly like that Touch of Magic is excluded (for now at least) because it means that everyone is being judged for items that the majority of people can have. No one's getting overshadowed by ToM dresses and clothing that are over the top extravagant and one of a kind.

i worked really hard on my submission, got 8388 rank and 2500 moonstones

I want to know what the ratio of votes to views is by different rankings for example if 1st place got 5000 votes out of appearing 5000 times they got a 100% vote to view ratio vs say someone in 2000th place getting 500 votes and appearing 500 times, which would also be 100% ratio but a lower total count of votes hence a lower ranking. (If that makes sense). Like did the highest ranking pictures have the most votes because it was best or because it got shown to more people and had a greater likelihood of getting the votes needed.

I wish they would send your photo back after the contest. I also wish we could share our entries with others through the game. my score was 78.72, 1049, 4k moonstones. How many other people ranked 1049?

TBH I was shocked I placed 11533 and got 2500!! Wasn’t even expecting to place that much as didn’t put much effort into background as it was an outfit challenge 😅

Yes, there is a 1200 reward. I know someone that scored around 4500-ish on the PS and got 1200 moonstones.

I think the majority of voters do not carefully critique the submissions -- whatever pleases the eye, typically simple and clean, will get the quick vote

I think they have a moonstone number for scoring and a moonstone number for ranking. Then combine at the end? It's hard to say with certainty 😅

I'm starting to think that rewards might be more based on total score, rather than just placement? As in, most people I've seen who scored around 70, got 1500-2500 moonstones, while most people who scored closer to 80, seem to have gotten the 4000. Is it possible that only the top 10 or maybe even top 3 rewards, are locked by ranking, while the other tiers are more based on overall score rather than just voting/rank? Anyway, thanks for this video and your continued insight on the topic! Good to know that most voters prefer a more clean and simple photo, I did feel like mine was a bit too clattered and ended up getting 1500 moonstones, so now I know to keep it simple for next time :)

The voting is supposed to be geared to the event. Clothing or scene. What I’m see is that people are voting for scenes when they should be looking at the clothing require. This really is disheartening if players are trying to play by the rules. So according whomever just make a complex scene throw on some clothes and you will win.

0:48 actually if you go back and read what they wrote in the dream snaps introduction, they said it’s possible to earn more than 5500 moonstones. They didn’t say it’s the top reward.

well, this video has confused and frustrated me. the submission around 10:25 got 2500 moonstones for 9436th place, but I placed 3020 and only got 1500 Moonstones. I am on Playstation and I understand there is less competition, but it still feels unfair that our rewards are significantly lower due to a reason out of our control. This needs to be rebalanced.

i have a score of 75.29 and ranked 1409 but only got 2500 moonstones, i guess because it was on PS (less competition) my random selfie on xbox scored 51.74 and i ranked 80.728 with 300 moonstones

Someone send me this overview: 5 - 1 (winners) = 8500 7K - 5 (highest 7.5%) = 4000 12K - 8K (highest 12.50%) = 2500 21K - 13K (highest 20%) = 1500 43K - 22K (highest 40%) = 1200 59K - 44K (highest 55%) = 900 77K - 60K (highest 70%) = 600 110K - 77K (base) = 300 But you said the first placement got 12K, so idk XD

I’m so disappointed that I can’t participate :( dreamsnaps completely disappeared from my game after completing the quest to bring vanellope to The Valley. Next time I logged in, still had vanellope, but dreamsnaps was no longer available :( I hope they fix it soon! Anyone else on Xbox one having this issue?

It has to be different on PlayStation! Because one person got 2500 when they placed 2013. But then another person got 6291 and got 4000!

I'd like to know how they do it as well. I scored better on my secondary account than my main. My secondary is on playstation but my main is on Xbox. Just curious to see what the stats are. I'm digging the rewards though. Regardless you still get a good bit even if you don't place high. I got 1800 on my second account and 1700 on my main. Hopefully I do better on this next round. The first was a little wonky so it's a learning experience

I got into the top 500 and also got 4000 moonstones. And someone in the 1000's also got 4000 moonstones. Doesnt really seem fair for someone in the top 100 to get the same amount of moonstones as someone in the 1000's or 2000's.
