Disney Dreamlight Valley Update. 15 HIDDEN FEATURES and BUGS You May Have Missed. Important Warning! 

If you cancel a Daisy challenge (for Glider or other requirements you can't meet) you can IMMEDIATELY begin a new one, just ask again. Also, Daisy resets for me at 1am. My previous challenge was done at 8pm, yesterday morning I was able to do another one when I was checking her countdown. Then I checked her countdown again and it was only 13hrs culminating at 1am. In the original enchanted update trailer back in September Belle had that fishing sitting read a book animation but it never worked I remember being disappointed to never see her fishing. I'll be on the lookout now!

Nothing game breaking but we need a Patch before the next update, especially for not being able to buy Premium Shop Items from Scrooge's. Also love the dress and Hairstyle. It looks SO GOOD

Did you also notice the red Aladdin stall you can add items on now ...the blue one was the only one you could do it for ...but now you can add stuff to the red one and I'm super happy about that

I loved seeing Belle sit on the ground, it's a lot like her character in the movie does. I hope that stays.

i had no problem with any of the Mulan quests and i picked up everything before i talked with anyone 🤣 maybe i was just lucky.. and i love the new fence.. it looks amazing when you place them as a single item ❤

I saw Eve fishing today. Not sure if that was new or just never encountered before. (Very cute btw). When picking up a bunch of items like sticks or whatnot that are together on the grid you can now hold the button like you would with harvesting crops or digging etc. I have some trees that spawn like 15 stick piles in a tight area and this is awesome.

The new furniture mode has made decorating on switch almost impossible. -_-

I hate the new furniture mode. I thought it was a bug. I don't know how it works on other platforms but on switch it is a NIGHTMARE. It has destroyed the game in my opinion

I do not like the furniture mode with the controller. I am on switch and it makes it extremely frustrating to decorate. Not only that but it’s extremely slow for me. They could give us an option in the settings to have it that way or not. It doesn’t make me want to play the game. I love the way it was before! Gameloft give people an option!

Did you notice we can now hold to pick up multiple items if they're next to each other? Just like when harvesting. Before we had to move and click for each item.

I only had to add a couple things for my dreamsnap, but I hate the camera being attached to the cursor in furniture mode! It makes it impossible to get angles for decorating, and it makes it hard to flatten an area since you have to move the camera to pick up each item.

I picked up flowers before the quest in Mulan realm and had no issues. I did avoid mining the rocks just in case it would bug my game so I'm glad I decided that. Loving Mulan and Mushu so far! I'm also glad that the star path doesn't just have 5(?) point tasks at the beginning and one again has a mixture of more points tasks to do 😊 much easier to progress to the things you want this way

Yes!!! Trying to make my dreamsnap and decorate is a pain with the new system. Why fix something that’s not broken??? It’s really annoying, I hope they undo it fast. If not all the dreamsnap is a pain and I was really enjoying it. Please gameloft🥺 But path and fences is so much better😊

I never knew about the bug people were having in the Mulan realm and I'm so glad it didn't affect me!!! As soon as I got in the realm I broke every rock and picked up every flower before ever speaking to Mushu😂

Regarding the furniture mode issues: for those who don’t use a controller, I’ll explain… and I don’t know if this change was made on PS or Xbox, but what happened on Switch is that either there is a bug or they deliberately disabled the left hand directional buttons. We use the left joystick to move over large spaces but we rely HEAVILY on the directional buttons in furniture mode and with those not available, it’s a MASSIVE and extremely frustrating pain in the 🍑 to move items, especially small items. We can’t move the hand just a tiny bit to grab the item, which is what the directional button do. The joystick is absolutely horrible for trying to just nudge items over a one or a couple squares. The idea of building a Dreamsnap that was is just an absolute NO. That is why people - at least Switch players - are upset. As if decoration for us isn’t enough of a bummer, they’ve basically taken it away from us with this change. If it’s a bug, it needs to be a priority, if it’s not, it has to get put back. I wonder if it’s the same for the other consoles?

So, I play on my switch and I LOVE the new way to move furniture around where the hand stays in the middle. Before it was a nightmare to move things to a very precise location, now it’s a lot easier!!

My funniest bug so far has been removing my characters jacket and her entire shoulders and back just vanished for a good 10 mins 😂

As the game gets more content and more features Gameloft really need to figure out something for the bugs, like maybe a team dedicated to it or something because they're only going to get worse.

Something else I noticed at the beginning of the video the clock now tells real time, I think it used to show only midnight? Also, the indoor Cinderella clock tells real time too!

i dont think the belle thing is a bug because im pretty sure she does that in her trailer! I think villagers are fishing and interacting a lot more! I have noticed that red stall from eternity isle you can now place items on top of! Shame that fix wasnt in time for the market challenge lol XD

I just got the glider requirement for Daisy this morning. I just canceled the challenge and got a new one.

I don’t see any issue with the camera staying in the center. The complaints I’ve seen are in reference to how slow it is now but the change was supposedly to make decorating easier with people complaining it was difficult to decorate due to how sensitive the controls could be. I can appreciate the attempt and get why they think this will help as technically it might make items easier to place yet it’s slow to get them where you want them.

Definitely glad that with the new decorating system happened during an outfit challenge week so it's less annoying to decorate. If it was a decor challenge, I'd be much more upset. But don't get me wrong, it's pretty bad to have this change in the first place 😩

you don't have to skip a day with the Daisy challenges at all! you just have to cancel the challenge for that day and ask for a new one, you can get one immediately :)

You had gliders checked off it looks like! Maybe you need it equipped to your character and then place whatever you have on onto the mannequin? Also, this one is new for me (I don't know if it is for other people): when I cook with Remy in his restaurant, he now always goes " yes" or " woo hoo" etc while he does his jump animation after you cook something. Before, he would only jump and spin for me before and now he cheers as well. Which I think was a nice touch! 😊

I had the glider issue. I cancelled the challenge to get a new one. I passed the new one and got my dairy coins without issue. Didn't need to wait a day.

Is nobody talking about the picking up multiple drops. Ex: pick up all bundles of sticks that are touching by holding the pickup option.

I really enjoy the new controller feature where it stays in the middle... on controller (switch) I couldn't decorate very well because my controller was far too sensitive and I tried everything in settings but nothing worked.... this update has made it easier and more enjoyable to build. I'm upset that people hate it so much because it will probably get taken away and I'll go back to hating build mode. 😢

I loved Belle's new sitting animation! I didn't get a photo but I wish I had.

I love the new furniture mode. I hated decorating in DLV and just had to deal with it. I get the frustrations of having to learn a new system but i decorated an area for Mulan yesterday and it went so much more smoothly.

Belle was sitting in the water reading/fishing for me today. So, I can confirm. :)

The new middle cursor lock is ATROCIOUS! As someone with motion sickness, the whole screen moving around 1 item makes it so I'm absolutely gutted and cannot decorate outside as i get so sick from it. Additionally, there are now some items i can't even reach or select within my valley because i cannot get the items on the far edges of outer biomes into the center of my screen no matter the angle. I hope they at MINIMUM make it a toggle so that if people prefer the center lock then they can keep it, but that the rest of us can please go back to the way it was before fully unbroken.

I picked up the flowers in Mulan before I was doing the quests and didn't have any issues. But I did have that kind of issue back when Elsa first came to the came. I had done something before it prompted me to and it didn't register it.

I can confirm Belle’s fishing animation. I had her in the Isle today in Ancient’s landing sitting on the grass, reading a book with the fishing pole out. I was like….Oh, that’s new.

Yes I saw Belle fishing and I was very surprised. It’s funny 😁

Aww, man, i accidentally picked up a flower in Mulan's realm and I was worried that would break it. I'm happy about taking away the cupcake sparkle, I did a Dreamsnap with all of them on the table because they are so pretty to look at and it was just too much, like a wall of sparkle.

They fixed the weird white water in the well on the Belle house. I got weird error with a pair of new Mulan shoes in my shop - not the old purchase failed one - but something saying you cant purchase because its not available. The visible door glitch exists in Mulans house. Um....oh when I finished the quests in the Mulan realm and banged the gong I got stuck in the gong lol Couldn't move or go to the menu, had to restart :P

Thanks for the great video. The changes to the controls is driving me insane! I can't decorate because the mouse won't move only the camera. I cant drag and drop things and I refuse to decorate any of my map until they get this issue fixed!

Yes please change the controller decorating setting back. I don't like it at all.

One bug I had was Mushu got stuck to continue using the kiln for the statues. I left the realm and went back into it and it short itself out. I had a look online and some people had the same issue as me but some of them had to restart the game.

I would have loved the cat to pat the butterflies when they pass by, how cute that would be. Hate furniture mode on ps5 not caused major issues but not tried to decorate fully 😊

The belle fishing animation was actually shown in the beauty and the beast update trailer back in September. But when we got the update , belle was never shown doing the fishing animation. Untill now which is awesome as i like it

for the wooden fence, you can place one of the pillars down and use another fence like the white picket fence and it gets really close. which gives it a cool beachy vibes. Also, IDK if anyone has noticed but the fountain for Frozen, the one with the spiral water at the top, is no longer animated. I have on in the Frosted Heights and since the update I noticed that it doesn't show the water falling.

There is a terrible bug when you’re trying to collect the pink birthday cakes in ratatouille‘s realm. You find the cake stuck, barely peeking out of a cabinet the same place where you have to fulfill the orders for his quest. Nothing you do can get that cake out. Today I have no other birthday cakes anywhere except for that one which I cannot, get out of that cabinet. If you have any in with Disney Dreamlight valley, please tell him to fix this because I cannot complete these quests.

I relied heavily the d pad on my switch to nudge items one or two squares over. With the cursor locked to the center of the screen that option is no longer available. The only way to move items now is via the joy con. This is finicky and frustrating as the joy con tends to move more spaces than you want. The d pad provided a more detailed and precise way to decorate on the switch. This new decorating mode has taken away one of the ways that made decorating on the switch manageable.

Lol everytime the sound goes off. It does it to me too, I can count how many times I'm just smiling playing the game happy and then terrified by sully growling @ me and that sound glitch 😅

On the switch you press down on the right joystick to remove with u/I in camera mode. Not sure if you tried that.

For PS5 you cant hide UI at all either in furniture mode or camera even though like everyone else we used to be able to hide it in camera mode

can confirm Bell sticks the rod into the ground then sits down to read, Gaston also has a fishing animation but both times the characters were fishing I was fishing an stopped to cheer when I caught a fish / seaweed

2 questions. 1... where did u get the green arch and bushes with the red flowers on it. And 2. I saw train tracks in ur craftable items. Where do u get those.

That up house getting renovation or something haha. Also I think they did the camera angle to place items better it takes some getting used to but I like it more better than previous furniture mode I'm on switch.

I have mask in daisy sometimes and add it and it counts if you use the one from monster Inc with face

I had to remove the UP house because that sound was making me feel actually physically ill. I've never experienced that with a sound before but somehow they managed it. I've never known a game that breaks as much as it fixes in every release as this one.

I have seen that I can't buy new item from Scrooge. I wanted to get some more pink and blue balloon arches and could not do it. I am glad that the doors are working now. I hope they are quick about fixing these bugs. The up house I don't have glad I don't.

In Mulan realm, I did smash rocks and pick up items straight away. I didn’t have a problem when completing the quests - it counted the items in my pocket.

Yes Belle sits reading a book whilst fishing if you aren't close to her. I have an enlarged screenshot. If you get close though she stands. My ps5 needs rebooting constantly now. Which is worse than before update. Moonstones from starpath gained then are taken back can only be fixed by shutting down restarting console and going to the castle (safespace) to look at starpath items and claim/buy stuff. And I do not like my cursor being stuck in the middle, it makes it so slow now.

They also fixed the water in the well for the Belle house!! It's not flat milk anymore! It's even animated a little.

Another bug is the popcorn machine from Belle’s signature bundles is no longer working when you interact with it. 😢 But on the flip side, the fireworks from the winter castle work again! 🎉

It seems the boost speed you get for just being well-fed is glitched, if you let it go down below gold, you can still keep speed temporarily, as long as you didnt glid to the point below, ie. You did it from mining or fishing, or time bending..., however if you do get your slower/ regular movement speed back, ( which can happen by going into furniture mode, or inside a loading zone, and maybe a few other ways i havent found) if you do go back to regular speed, then even after eating and getting well-fed, speed will still be regular, but you can fix by gliding for a short time, its a wierd glitch i dont fully understand

I noticed that skull rocks mouth looks wider than before

I'm so happy that change the iron ingots crafting materials. From Iron Ore, and Coal. To Wrought Iron is a game changer for me. It makes it easier. But I won't do that. Until I get all of the new furniture from the crafting station for Remy. I didn't have any issues at all with that bug issue within the Realm.

I was so lucky for Mulan's realm. When I first enterted my first reaction was to pick up the items, but before I did I stopped myself thinking knowing my luck it might glitch the quest line.

The Timebending Orbs are also gone. Edit: they still appear but not in all areas and are very small until you approach with the Timebender

I can't redeem the Night thorn Dreamlight duty.

For me on the Switch, the new furniture mode is so SLOW and it’s much more difficult to place things than it already was. I could manage with it before, but it’s making me put off doing my Dreamsnap this week cause I know it’s going to be difficult.

I am the idiot who wasted all of my wrought iron on iron ingots. Thank you for including this in your video! Hopefully no one else makes the same mistake.

I’m on switch. I’m very glad I didn’t have the issue in Milan’s realm cause I 100% picked everything up before seeing mushu! 😅 I personally don’t mind the new way of moving around in build mode. Only problem is, moving around is ultra slow now.. I wish you could choose to go fast or slow depending on if you are trying to place precisely or moving to a new biome or whatever.. I’m loving the new update and I notice a lot of the problems not being a problem anymore.. like disappearing furniture.. but it’s extra laggy and loading going in and out of houses takes ages now!

with furniture mode do you also hate the path and fences changes by pressing a or x repeatedly instead of what it is was before why they change something we didn't want it was like when sims changed the controls for controllers and confused everybody and they did it when we didn't ask for it

The house does that anytime you go back to it after exiting a realm, a house, your house, a store… anytime you refresh into that area basically. Or even when you come out of that house itself. I thought it was Oswald’s car originally but I moved it away and realized it had to be the house. It sounds so so bad 😫

I just noticed that the large floating orbs in each area of the valley are gone. Not sure if this is a glitch or if it was on purpose.

7:26 it just makes me motion sick having to move my camera constantly when placing an item, i still having done my dreamsnap cause building stresses me out now😅

I've been using Carl's Up house as my main skin for a while now, but I had to switch it out since the noise is so jarring. 😵‍💫

I had a few times the mulan realm like cheated for me after taking awhile it just gave me what i needed 😅

There's also a bug whenever I first log in and I go to walk I'm super slow. It's as if my energy bar is depleted (when it's not) but when I glide/sprint it seems to fix it. Sad to see so many players experiencing issues, I personally just don't like the new camera and I absolutely agree cannot wait for the premium shop items bug to be fixed!! I just got Belle's projector a day before the update and I didn't buy more than one in Scrooges shop and now I can't :( Love your outift though!! And I cried when I first met Mulan I agree her realm is my favorite
