They caught him attempting to kidnap another girl in a nearby small town a few months later. Same van, same bandana around his head. He had a killing kit in the van with him the police said. I agree. He reminds me a lot of a cop that pulled me over, while speeding through Nebraska. At one point he asked me if I could sit with him in the passenger seat of his police car, and while we sat there he apologized for the stop but explained it was the long weekend and he'd already seen several fatalities from speeding, so they're really cracking down on that. He was really polite, and you could tell there was no ill will, just doing his job, and I really appreciated that.

We have the court system along with judges and/or juries to determine whether someone is either innocent or guilty of the charges. This sherrif would have been fired long ago, for prejudicing cases by publicly convicting anyone BEFORE they had a chance to defend themselves in a court of law, but that would only happen in REAL criminal cases.
