I've used this idea 3 times and really does work. Last time we went to Disney my kids were 8, 10, 12 and they still loved it even though they knew it was me.

One trip, we packed the car with balloons, glow sticks, and a surprise note from Tinker Bell inviting our girls to Disney. It was so fun! They loved it. It was our easiest drive ever.

Such a great idea! I think what saved us the most money was bringing our own food and being willing to have about a 10 minute walk to the park. A little extra work for a huge payoff!

I love the idea of the Disney Fairy! I usually go to the dollar store before a Disney trip and get the glow wands and bracelets and swords. It saves a ton! We also try to stop at the target that's just down from Disneyland. They have a whole Disney section right up front with everything you could want and it's so much cheaper than the park!

For those creative parents, DIY some Disney shirts. Plain tees are super cheap....if you have a cricut or even get iron on print paper, you can make Disney clothes that's personalized for each family member

I have loved the Disney Fairy idea for many years. We took our granddaughter to Disneyland and had gifts for her several times during the trip because of what you had said in your blog clear back in 2006 or before. She is 16 now, but I'll bet she still remembers at least one of the things she got when she was 6.

I did this in march with grandkids 5 and 3. Thank you!!! They never asked for anything. And they were so excited to go home at night so there was no complaining when they were tired and exhausted. I got thugs at the dollar tree and target.
