Float Out of the Disney Fantasy with fireworks at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany on 8th January 2012. The new undocked cruise liner Disney Fantasy is 340 meter long, 37 meter wide and reaches a velocity of 23.5 knots. The conveyance over the ems is planned for the 20th January 2012.
Ausdocken der Disney Fantasy mit Feuerwerk bei Meyer Werft in Papenburg am 8. Januar 2012. Das neue Kreuzfahrtschiff Disney Fantasy hat eine Länge über alles von 340 Metern, eine Breite von 37,0 Metern und erreicht eine Geschwindigkeit von 23,5 Knoten. She's a beautiful ship. First cruise liner I ever went on. I've since gone on all 4 of the Disney fleet. My room was on the 8th deck of the Fantasy, on the very back. I could see my balcony from the video. Good memories...

I’m also playing bingo with the Disney ships! Dream was my first ship (and will likely remain my favorite just for that gorgeous chandelier alone), followed by the Magic. I have the Fantasy booked in two months time followed by a cruise on the Wonder in December. I need to schedule a cruise on the Wish for next year for sure.

The most emotional video in the world for me. Ive gone on 5 Disney Fantasy cruises, so this ship is like home to me! Just to see it undocked and its horn blown for the first time is so amazing. Thank you for getting this footage! ☺

Big difference is that it isn't an Ocean Liner. If cruise ships tried to cross the Atlantic instead of hugging coast lines...they would capsize. Cunard are true Ocean Going Liners.

@InfinityDan Having looked at the Magic, it doesn't have the severe top hamper the others have. Yes it is entirely likely they could do it safely. The structure of the ship itself is my main concern...the bow needs a water break and needs to be longer as befitting a Liner.

Last year our ship, the Queen Mary 2 was docked next to the Fantasy. I was so impressed with it's upkeep. I told my wife it looks like it just came out of the paint shop. Not a blemish anywhere on the ship. It looked bran new, not a 2012 ship.

I remember going ok the maiden voyage of both this ship and the Disney dream. They were once in a life time experiences that I will never forget them. I am incredibly grateful that I have managed to go on the four ships a total of 16 times. (My parents spoiled me as a kid) and I just wish that other people who haven’t experienced it yet will eventually get to experience such a wonderfully fantastic ship

+Jordan Arrington That lil boat - (as you put it) - probably had about a 7,500hp engine and the water looked very still, so with no breeze then yes it would be capable of pulling a boat that size that probably still needed fully 'fitting out'.

You should see the Prop under that "Little Boat" !!! Tug boats have special props built for POWER instead of Speed, I owned a small 30ft Tug Boat for a couple years. And I moved several very big Boats with it. I also pulled a 35ft Sailboat that was beached hard, Pulled on it and drug that baby right back into the water. And talk about"Prop Wash" !! LOL, It blew my mind, About how much water the Tug was moving !! There CRAZY STRONG Boats !!!

It was big enough to weather hurricane Sandy, and I know that from personal experience 😂 I’ve been on 10 Disney cruises, 6 on the Magic and 4 on the Fantasy; both ships are such a big part of my childhood ❤️

I still find it amazing that those tug boats can pull a ship that big. I mean I know the tug boat is build to tug and therefore has a shit ton of torque, but a single tug boat just pulled a Cruise liner.

I have been in three Disney cruises. Once in the Disney Magic, twice on the fantasy. The fantasy was amazing. The fkr word shows are amazing! Same with pirate night. Oh and the aqua duck.

Am I the only person who counts how many lifeboats these boats have? All we hear is how fast it can go and how many passengers it holds. We never hear how 4000 people are going to get into 16 lifeboats [or 8 lifeboats if listing heavily]

I was on all four Disney ships for the build out. It is an interesting and dangerous job while living in harsh conditions, wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

Ich sehe sie Momentan von Innen, bin dort für 2 Wochen im Praktikum. Es ist ganzschön Interessant sich den Schiffbau so hautnah anzuschauen und mit zu erleben. Also die Getaway sieht von Aussen schon fast fertig aus, bis auf ein paar stellen, von innen ist es noch ein kompletter Rohbau. Aber es wird ein großes und tolles Schiff.

I went on that cruise for the first time on 2015 such a lovely ship then on 2016 I went on the wonder it was wonderful but the food wasn’t good as the fantasy and I went back on the fantasy a month ago such good memories I prefer this ship to anything
