Isn't she the one who attacked Oscars for not giving her an invite during covid? Stating cause she is a woman of colour thus was not prioritized. Then ofcourse she got an invite and even got to be a presenter.😅
It’s so sad that there’s probably millions of girls who would absolutely die to play a Disney princess in a movie but they actively choose someone who is vitriolic and hateful towards the character just because they needed to tick a diversity checkbox.
No one disrespects that 1937 classic and talks about the prince, who came to the aid of Snow White and calls him out to be a "creeper" 😡 Good riddance 😒
@@TriviaTrooperXof course she can have an opinion but she was nothing but negativity about the very movie that she was the portraying the central character! One thing that celebrities are taught after becoming famous is to not talk negatively about their work or their employer directly. They can be negative about small things but they should be respectful of the company and their platform and focus on what matters rather than having no filter.
If that industry wide ban kicks in, and I'm assuming that it already has, then she has no one to blame but herself, she'll literally talked herself out of any work in the future
the fact that she said she hates snow white is already a red flag. how could somebody play the character if the actor herself hates her role? it's like blasphemy in the acting world!

She should have played Coal Black, a crackhead asleep on thesubway.
Actually, It's very much the norm. Actors played characters that they themselves can't stand all the time. For $10 million dollars, I take the roles of Ted Bundy and Adolf Hitler, too. It's not the actors' fault if people don't have the ability to separate the actor from character.
You'd think this might have come out during the audition. "So, Ms. Zegler, what makes you think you're right for this role?" "Well, I've always hated Snow White, so..."
Well you have to ask yourself this...which is worse, her or Disney itself? Two peas in a pod. Disney destroyed itself. In fact, it's still doing a great job at that. She just went along for the ride.
Whos more foolish the fool or the fool who follows them? Neither, the fools a fool for being a fool and the follower is a fool for not being able to recognize a fool
Why would they cast someone to play snow white who doesn't like classic movies and stories and also doesn't want "true love" in her movies? I won't watch anything that involved her
@TheCrispOne2024 amber heard is the only person I loathe entirely but Rachel comes off as a airhead or dumb blonde she's what you think of or expect every blonde to be like she's not even good looking is the big thing she's average at best
Yeah, she is terrible. I just discovered her, listened to her speak ONCE, and just absolutely could not stand her! It is super, super, duper, rare that I encounter someone like this. Maybe happened once before?
Honestly she didn’t, like as a person she’s fine and even Disney’s idea of having someone not white play Snow White isn’t even what’s bothered me. What actually bothered me was how someone who’s SUPPOSED to play a character is just? Actively hating on the character?? Because now I’m gonna thinks that you won’t act very well because she doesn’t even like what she’s doing in this. Like I just think that people should ENJOY the role they are playing in order to have a movie become good.
@@Resimaster Thank you, Captain Obvious. I guess you just failed to see I wasn't disagreeing with you at all and actually was supporting what you had said.
They need to get rid of her! She's SO entitled and derisive when she should be happy to get a starring role in a big motion picture. (I get total Amber Heard vibes!)
I just found out Gal Gadot is the wicked witch who is asking the mirror who is the most beautiful of all. The mirror isn't cracked but must be on crack to answer Rachael Z.😅😂 Gal > Rachael in every way.
It's like having white person playing malcolm x.. Or remake the black panther... See it's easy stick to the rules of history and original. No worries and not hate.. That's all I'm on a bout
Really? Attitude aside, the girl looks pretty white to me. I never knew white people had such strict criteria for whiteness. She's not mixed, at least she doesn't look mixed to me. A little makeup can make her look as snowy as the character she's playing.
I think her looks can be all right for playing a white person in general. But Snow White is unusually pale for a white person, as her name says, her skin is the color of snow. A lot of white people wouldn't be fit for the role either. And Zegler immediately said she wouldn't do anything to make her skin more fair for the part, so she doesn't want to look as described. I would feel the same about any race. However in the opposite case the casting would likely be deemed racist whether the actor offers to make their skin darker or not. I'd be all right with any casting that can look the part, make up or not. I think Zegler is a poor choice because, on top of refusing the former solution, she seems to really dislike the story and disagree with what her character represents.
If Disney is done with her this "controversy" is an excuse. "I should be paid for every hour it streams online!" - Rachel Zegler Pretty sure that would be the reason.
I was shocked to the core on the moment she revealed her true self in interviews, and also how professional Gal Gadot manage to stay cheerful during those interviews with this lady
Well. Disney did destroy Star Wars. How stupid was the last 3 movies? Just one big scavenger, hunt and silliness throughout the movie and the scavenger hunt.
She is maybe a great actress, but not for Snow White, she doesn’t look like the character, so it’s like if you send a blonde to do the character of Pocahontas. You cannot do that
No it’s not. Pocahontas has cultural historical significance as a figure. The only thing race-swapping Snow White would change is her name. Storywise, not really.
@@armanitroielle4207 I agree that her ethnicity isn't the most important part of the story, but her skintone is. If they so desperately want it to be woke, why don't they cast an african albino who is actually white as snow, a really white latina, white east asian, albino indian. There are plenty of white people in all ethnicities but nope they want a snow brown princess...(I'm brown myself btw.)
@armanitroieille4207 its literally in the description of her. That her skin is white as snow hence that's why she's named Snow WHITE. I say we get a blonde to play Mulan and Tiana then
Zegler is legitimately the hardest piece of evidence we got that Disney is seriously doomed to fail. Imagine being an unknown actor, maybe busting your ass working multiple jobs just hoping whatever role they're willing to trust that you can play for a movie will pay off even if it was saying two hilarious lines right as a side character or something, you catch a break with one of the biggest companies in the world who practicaly monopolised childhood and more than likely had an impact on your own upbringing, and as opposed to treating it like the dream job one would think working with freaking Disney would be you singlehandedly take down everything associated with you and your project before it's even got a damn proper teaser. All that, and they're still gonna try releasing it as if none of that mattered or none of us remember how much the main character herself didn't even care about it when they'd be so much better off just shelving it and never having it see the light of day other than for a tax write-off list. But that would imply Disney's actually still got some brains left.
I wish it was true. I can't stand Rachel Zegler. Horrible fake stuck-up means spoiled actress who needs to be canceled. Disney should have fired her with a non-toxic replacement.
Here’s the thing: I liked Rachel in West Side Story. She made a great Maria. After the way she got the part of Maria in this very high-profile film (she put a video of herself singing on Twitter), humbleness was the way to go. She dug her own grave with what she said about Snow White. I would’ve gotten over her skin tone eventually and given the movie a fair shot, but after watching her actively and proudly shit on such an iconic film, there’s no way. I’ll compare her to Halle Bailey. I was a little peeved by black Little Mermaid (and I did miss the red hair, come on Disney, making her ginger was not a big ask), but I still gave the movie a fair shot, and it wasn’t bad. Halle had nothing but great things to say about the source material and her experience filming the movie, and that made it a lot easier to accept her playing Ariel, even if she didn’t look like the cartoon.
@TriviaTrooperX I think they are a bit if I have to be honest. A good amount of the movies They've been making in the last few years or so have been nothing but unnecessary remakes outside of actual new movies that seems to be forcing the diversity thing a bit
@@TriviaTrooperX because they're responsible for the horrendous mess that Disney is in right now. Uninteresting movies that are only there to pat themselves on the back for D.E.I. while loosing hundreds of millions of dollars.
My personal opinion is Zegler pushed to grt fired from this project. She knew the hate she got from fans on here for example and knew this movie wouod torpedo hr career forever so she pulled the rip cord. Her career can still be salvaged cuz *SNOW WHITE IS THE MOVIE THAT NEVER WAS!*
She's just an actress. Disney knows they have another box office bomb & are desperate to find someone else to blame. They're throwing her under the bus.
Queen: Mirror mirror on the wall who's the fairest of them all? Mirror: You are. But you are not the most evil. Queen: Then who?? Mirror: She's Snow White(Brown)
Several months after this post and still Disney keeps doubling down and not removing Ziegler. Shame too, because if it had been done right, it could have been a really neat movie as a live action. They went way to crazy with casting and letting her run her mouth. Hopefully she won't make anymore movies.
