Fort Wilderness Campground! We recently visited Walt Disney World in the Orlando Florida area. While there, we checked out Disney Fort Wilderness Campground & Resort over several days. ⬇️⬇️Click Show More⬇️⬇️
This place is MASSIVE as far as campgrounds go - over 750 acres for camping! In this video we share with you our experience and review at Fort Wilderness Resort (which was over the holidays - so it was pretty cool) and a complete tour of the campground!
We had a rented golf cart to tour around in (see the complete video for all of our tips for navigating Fort Wilderness - including renting a Golf Cart). We take you around and show you some of the campsites, the holiday decorations and all of the fun things that Fort Wilderness has to offer.

I’ve stayed at Disney fort wilderness for 7 times over the past 8 years and I absolutely love it. It is a great experience and I would recommend it for everyone who enjoys Disney and nature.

I know this is a fairly old video. But I am a former Walt Disney World cast member. They really go above and beyond in the training of their cast members. You really have to love Disney to work there. It makes being happy and making the experience for the guests so much easier. I started in Mickey's Toontown Fair and worked there until they redid it. I absolutely loved working there. Seeing kids run out jumping for joy after meeting their favorite characters, giving someone a sample of freshly made cotton candy, or the excitement of seeing their name sewn into a hat, just melts your heart. I actually have a burn scar from accidentally bumping my finger on the spinner of the cotton candy machine. I never minded working long hours there, because we had such a blast. I was so sad when they decided to change that area. I was lucky enough to get placed at another location that I really enjoyed. But it wasn't working with the guests. It just wasn't quite the same. I have no regrets of either location I worked at though. The only reason I don't work there anymore was because I had to move. The Disney Company is a family, and one that I'm proud to say that I have been apart of.

Awesome video! Fort Wilderness is a must experience, especially during the holidays! From the golf cart Christmas Eve parade, to the decorations and beyond-it’s a wonderful experience for the entire family! Renting the golf carts is a great way to get around and you definitely want to be sure to have reservations in advance. Love that Disney has an option for RV folks to stay with all the perks of the resorts! Bravo for a job well done on producing this! Looks like kiddos had a ball too!!

We love staying here and not for the parks, but for the campground. It has so much to offer. The hook ups are easy. The sites give you plenty of space and privacy. They also have bus transportation within the campground so that you really would not have to rent a golf cart if you were not interested in driving around the different loops, however, like you said a golf cart is worth it especially around the holidays to see the decorations. Halloween you find almost as many campsites decorated as Christmas. We love the atmosphere and theming. There is also a nightly campfire sing along and movie, horseback riding, bike and canoe rentals. So much to offer. The Trails End buffet breakfast and dinner are excellent too. We also love the Hoop De Do Revue! Ft. Wilderness is the best camping experience!

Thank you so much for showing this. I have a co-worker who is a Disney fanatic and her family may love this. The cost of these campground is cheaper than the resort. It would be well worth it even for a tent site for a family on a budget and the area/transportation/food etc.. is fantastic.

Love Ft. Wilderness 😍 My favorite memory of the HoopDeeDoo Revue was after running the Disney Marathon. We outright abused the “all you can eat” aspect that evening 😂😇

One of the best things for us is that it part of Disney Vacation Club (DVC) ownership. So we can stay here using our points instead of $$. All we need is $$ for the extras (park tickets, uncovered expenses). We bought Dvc when it first started decades ago for cheap. It has more than paid for itself in travel through the years both in the parks and trading it for other locations across the world. We even got married on a Disney Cruise and the cruise was free except for wedding expenses (flowers, reception food/decor), alcohol, and tips. Total cost for the cruise and wedding in the Bahamas....$2700, that included accommodations for 8 people. Our extended family now takes advantage of it too. My SIL is now in Disney using our points for their stay this week. That saved them the cost of hotel for their trip.

Just an FYI on how long people stay at Ft Wilderness - Ft Wilderness is part of the Disney Vacation Club program. The DVC is the Disney Timeshare where you purchase points at a "home resort", but can trade those points for any property on Disney (as well as exchange them for resorts all around the world both Disney Euro or Japan, or RCI). Each resort has a point value for a day or week stay. So you spend your points how you want to for your vacation. It was very affordable. We purchased 30 years ago because it was cheaper for us to buy the timeshare than it was for us to have a 3 br suite for a family reunion. It paid for itself over the years. The people that stay a long time may have a large number of points to spend, allowing them to stay weeks and even a month or two. It doesnt cover meals or park tickets, but there is a substantial discount for them. So that adds up. But the cost of Ft Wilderness is paid for!

Thanks for all the information on the park. I guess it’s also the place to be if you’re pregnant 🤰 😂. That is crazy all the Christmas 🎄 decorations at the park! Must be the best time to go! And I’ll remember to rent a golf cart. I think I’d just look at everyone else’s decorations. I’m not toting or storing Christmas decorations. Great job on the review! Great Video you guys, we are staying May 17thru the 23rd this year with our Son, Daughter in-law and 2 grandchildren. We are so stoked, we booked our premium site and now counting down the days. Have not stayed there before so was a little sticker shocked, but wanted it to be a great trip. Thanks! We use two mics, one on our GoPro and one on our large camera mic. For the GoPro we use a Movo Mic and for the “good” camera we use the Rhodes video mic pro.

we started camping there in the early 90's sure has changed, we always brang our cart to the halloween and christmas golf cart parade. You also were allowed to swim in the water now its fenced off.
