Disney Genie Plus at the Busiest Time of the Year: Our Best Strategies and Tips to Beat the Crowds 

Thank you for all the tips over the past year. We just got back from Disney with 16 people over holiday break. We rode every ride using standby and lightning. Our group appreciates you!!

The "Book as soon as you can" I referred to as Getting a Foot in the Door. We played Genie slots and almost never settled for our original time. Even if we switched rides, we almost never used the original booking. But booking SOMETHING asap kept that 2-hour rule ticking...with a rolling alarm named "2 hour rule" that I updated throughout the day. Your tips helped us out A LOT when we were there the first week of January!! Thank you!!!

IT WORKS.... I started following you about 3 weeks ago and I just spent 5 days at Disney World with 2 kids. THANK YOU so much. I used all your advice and stacked! I went to rope drop every day (1 park per day) and I played the "Disney Genie slots" to Stack Lightening Lanes (I had a max of 5 one day). I was able to ride all the ones I wanted!!! It definitely works, but it's so worth it to get to the parks early too. One evening I thought I wouldn't get Remy and I kept checking throughout the evening and I got it!!! You are the only one that shares the screen and teaches us the right way. Thank you 💯

Hey Rob, couple cool notes from when we were there between December 27 and New Year's Eve. The Disney slots rocked it. On one occasion we got a ride 2 hours earlier by spinning the slots. Great, great time on a super busy week there. Thanks to your tips. Also, while not Aerosmith, lead singer of the band Steven Tyler has Rockin' All Over the World (Santa song) from the Polar Express film. That would be awesome Christmastime for the Rock n Roller Coaster. Added note: Epot's Biergarten has a super themed and awesome buffet.

To answer your question, during the month of December, Joe Perry would often substitute “Feels Like Christmas” for “Bright Light Fright” or whatever else he was playing if he was doing a solo number on that tour. Good number too. Steven would put on a funny hat and play the harmonica.

I have a question. In the beginning of the video you mentioned setup your “free” genie did you do this entire day on the “free” genie part if the app or did you pay for the Genie plus for you to get the better time? Also do you have or can you do a video on the Disney DAS Advanced pass??

Is there a way to get a hard reservation for a restaurant similar to the "Play Genie Slots", in a way that you do similar to what you did at 15:38? The way I'm doing is pressing "edit the day" (the party is already selected) and selecting the day I want. But I don't know if this is enough to refresh the page or not (like you do when you "tap in, tap out".

This helped me a lot my husband and I are talking our grandson for his 12th birthday on 12/26/23. I know there is a video but Question: what do you do first at 7AM The virtual cue, the individual lightning lane, or buying the genie Plus?

At the 17:51 minute mark it says the Stand-by wait is 40 min and the Lighting Lane wait is 1:45. That’s 1 hour & 45 minutes correct (not 1 hour and 45 seconds)? I thought the Lightening Lane wait would be lower than the Stand-by wait? Thanks for the clarification! You’re such a great resource!!!

When you modify can you choose a different ride not just a new time?

We just got back from a 2 week trip; December 22 to January 2. We froze 😆 but then it got better 😆 Anyways, I watched your videos as well as other vlogers to prepare for our family trip and your videos were by far the most helpful and I formative. Your details and step by step helped us get every ride we wanted! Went on Rise twice in the same day!! During the holidays!! 😆 Thank you so much for all your help ❤️

Hey Rob, so for busiest days you would recommend avoiding the 120 min rule and going for the earliest LL times available?

Could I ask, would you get the Genie + if we have the DAS Pass for January 15-22?

When you list that you spent 16 or 21 minutes playing the Genie slots, are you continuously swiping that whole time, or are you just checking back regularly during that period? I am wondering if we have to spend long periods constantly swiping to get some of the harder rides.

Ok so let me get this straight, if I purchase GIENE plus and I purchase LL for rise of the resistance can I also book for a regular LL with giene plus or it’s a 2 hour rule even if you purchase a ride that’s not included with the 15-29$ giene plus service?

When does the 2 hr cool down start again? Is it after the 3rd LL? Or the first? So confused.

Doesn't modifying reset your 2hr clock now? It did for me in April.

Thank you for teaching us how to use Genie plus. We super appreciate it! However we disagree that this is a busy day 😂 When we go it's like Time Square and you cannot move in the streets. This day you went was NOT busy. When it's busy we get one good LL at 7am. Then we can usually get a second one for later in the day. We refresh 500 times and NOTHING good shows up. Nothing. I wish I could travel on low season :(

Serious question!! Coming from Scotland in June for 2 weeks. Would you consider hanging about with a Scottish family for a day in Hollywood studios to help us with genie plus? It scares me!!! Lol.

Not quite sure if I followed your video correctly. Were you booking the last three rides by using genie + every 2 hours?

if you are staying off site can you still get Lightning Lanes at 7?

Does anyone know if you can modify lightning lanes to be a later time now? I ask because I am flying to Florida in the morning and want to get afternoon lightning lanes booked as early as possible so I don't need to keep checking my phone throughout the day for afternoon slots. For example today I had to wait until pretty late in the morning to see some LL's available at times when I would be in the park.

We had quite a time when we were there for one day (12/20)! All the planning in the world doesn’t help when Rise of the resistance goes down and 300 people get that lightning lane and come to Smugglers run where you’re in line 🥺 Our day was running smoothly with Genie+ and we had 2 hours before our Smugglers run reservation. We had done everything else we wanted to do so I suggested we ride Smugglers run standby since it was a 100 minute wait. Then we could ride again with the Genie+ reservation. We were about 45 min in when suddenly the line stopped moving. The rumor was that ROTR went down and everyone came to Smugglers run and was getting in before us. Instead of trying to push our way down to use our Genie+ reservation, since we were at the top, we decided to just wait out the standby. 3-1/2 hour wait. I ended up regretting the decision to not leave. Had that not happened we would have had 3 Genie+ rides for the day but we ended up only using it once 😢

I'm finding better results from the lawyer's disney blog. Splash mountain was mentioned, but that's closed permanently. Not expected to reopen until at least 2024. It's not just the location of the coffee shacks that you're forgetting about.

If you book at opening, you make get a ride VERY LATE in the evening. It’s such a SCAM!! The lighting lanes only work IF you stay at their DISNEY hotel. Those people get PRORITY!!! This info is straight from the Staff
