Disney Infinity 3.0 Gold Edition All Characters, Content Review

The Disney Infinity 3.0 Gold version of the game (available on Steam) does not include the Finding Nemo Play Set or the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set, also these 10 characters are missing from Disney Infinity 3.0 Gold Edition; Alice, The Mad Hatter, Baloo, Time, Nemo, Dory, Black Panther, Ant-Man, Vision, and Captain America (The First Avenger). There is a Captain America character from the Disney Infinity 2.0 game but not the 3.0 Marvel Battlegrounds Captain America (The First Avenger) figure. Along with the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set not included neither are the 4 Marvel Battlegrounds Power Discs. 3 round 1 hex. Ghost Rider's bike is the hex. The 3 round discs are air strikes. Cosmic cube blast, Nova corps strike, and Darkhawks blast. So you get Tomorrowland discs, Zootopia discs, Star Wars discs, and The Good Dinosaur discs from the 3.0 game.
The 2 missing Play Sets; Marvel Battlegrounds and Finding Nemo make it so the Toy Box is missing content. Things like decorations, set pieces that you unlock by playing the Play Set for use in the free roam make your own level Toy Box segment of the game. (now long offline for sharing content with others.) Also unfortunately the Marvel Battlegrounds Play Set featured a Versus mode where 2 to 4 players can fight in a small destructible environment similar to a old PS2 game called Marvel Nemesis. (see my video of it). The Versus mode allowed for up to 4 players at the same time but you could play alone with up to 3 AI.
So in conclusion you are getting 4 of 6 Play Sets for Infinity 3.0 and missing out on only 10 characters of the actual 101 that are included and playable. (many only playable in the Toy Box though) So you get 3 Star Wars Play Sets, Pixar's Inside Out Play Set The Toy Box Takeover and Toy Box Speedway plus the Toy Box to make your own levels. Keep in mind you can't use a Star Wars character in the Inside Out Play Set and all the Disney Infinity 1.0 and 2.0 figures are only going to be played in the Toy Box, the Takeover or the Speedway not in any Play Sets. And some of the 3.0 characters are also only used outside of Play Sets and the characters you can use in Play Sets need to be unlocked via collecting "character coins" found through out the levels.

After spending loads of money on the ps4 and ps3 version since it initially released back in 2016 I just grabbed the steam collection for £14 for all 3 games. I'm glad I can now play the old games but sad that I don't need to buy anymore characters. It was fun searching online to find the ones I needed

@@crangejo Well, they actually have different appeals. In Skylanders, you progress through a straight story mode with some other bonus modes which vary each game. Disney Infinity however has a few story modes based on some of their products, and the toy box thing which is the big deal. It's where you can create your own worlds and share with others if you want to. There is the thing that, in Disney Infinity, there are a few characters that are only for the toy box, so they're kinda useless aside from player made creations (not that it sucks tho) If you want a straightforward story mode sorta game where you can use any character, Skylanders will be better. But if you want to create and share your own stuff DI is surely the best choice.

okay this is kinda dumb seeing how this games been dead for like 2 years or something but ive always really liked this game and ive always wanted to play as a lot of the characters without spending a fortune. So my question is do I need 1.0 and 2.0 to unlock characters and playsets like Pirates of the Caribbean or the Spider-Man one, etc. or does it all just come with 3.0 gold?

Everything in the video is in 3 I think. I did buy the bundle but only installed 3 so you likely only need 3. Check the Steam description should say everything is included.

The gold edition was made before they were released, but Marvel Takeover is in the files, unused and incomplete, not even actually playable.

Oh. I was looking to see any games on sale on Steam, saw Castle of Illusion and wonder if The Magical Quest staring Mickey Mouse was on there too, and saw Disney Infinity on Steam. Didn't know a PC version of this game existed. I recall liking this game a bit when I got the figures to play. That said, seeing as it's discontinued if I get the PC version I DON'T need the figure and playsets to play this, right? All characters are available to use and all sets (except for certain ones before the disconnection like the life-action Alice ones) so I'm ready to go when I get the game? If that's the case I'll look for a sale to buy the bundle.

Game has no servers support for toybox sharing anymore or any online crossplay. I have no idea if you can splitscreen never saw any option for it.

Ok i dont know much about disney infinity so some help would be nice. my son really likes the toy box mode in the toy story 3 game (it is his first game ever) but because we completed everything (he still likes it but im getting bored ;)) i was thinking buying this for him to play next (I understood this game is comparable? I also saw disney universe but dont really like the idea and look of only wearing the costumes when here you can actually play as the "real" characters) dont really want to buy all the figurines. So does infinity 3 gold has all the content of the 3 games combined (minus the ones mentioned in the description of this video) without having to buy the figures or how does this work? Do you still have to get the portal and figurines to get the full gameplay and levels? Do the 3 different games have different gameplay, content, worlds.. whatever.. that isnt ported into the next ones or are it more expansions of the original disney infinity? And is it even still fun to play without the online features since disney shut it down? All a bit confusing to me, sorry, but would be thankfull with some answers. I have a ps3 and 4 btw hope its available on one of these.

The game includes almost everything except about five 3.0 characters and the Marvel Battlegrounds playset and Finding Dory playsets which included some toy box stuff. All the Disney Infinity 1 and 2 content is there in 3 though. Read video description for what characters are not in the Steam Gold Edition.

Good question. I don't know. There are some missing characters in this version, so.oooo....I guess all you have to do is go to that hall of statues and activate them all and see if they reprogrammed the game to make it appear, yeah I guess not likely they did that not in this game. Maybe though.

You get everything with purchase. The Steam PC version is missing the Marvel Battlegrounds playset and like 3 random characters that were part of the console versions, I listed them off in the description and video. Otherwise, they are all playable day one on pc but in the toy box you have to earn sparks to unlock toys to build with and also progression in the single player campaigns and or playsets, so make yourself a spark generator in the toy box to harvest I show one in my video review what that is also I made a side scroller how to video explains the way to make a beat em up type of game. Also if you finish the single player campaign you unlock a light saber. The steam PC gold has all characters and discs which are instantly playable. Good luck figuring out the buttons to use on the controller it is slightly different than the ps4 settings, so print a button layout if you can find one.

Figure-wise only the star wars characters can be used in star wars playset, and only the emotions in inside out playset anyone and everyone except the characters that released after the 2 Zootropolis figures meaning the 3.0 captain America, vision, antman, Nemo, dory and Alice through looking glass figures can be used in toybox and the two toybox levels. Playset wise in 3.0 only the 3 star wars play sets and the inside out one can be played

No, you only get the Steam version and you can't log into Disney for anything anymore they closed down the servers. I did put a video of how to add other peoples toy boxes to your Steam version but you need to be sure the online backup of Steam is turned off. No, if you buy the steam gold edition you get all 3 but just buying 3.0 you do not. Also the 3.0 finding dory and marvel battlegrounds are not included or available, and about 4 disney characters from 3.0.

Its like the PS4 versions. You cant play 1.0 and 2.0 playsets in 3.0 you need to get the 1.0 and 2.0 game and then you can play it but if you place the 1.0 or 2.0 playsets on 3.0 it would just unlock everything possible from that playsets like for example, Avengers playset you put on base, you get everything related to that playset like all Avengers

No infinity 1 and 2 and 3 are all games themselves but each character and power disc can be used in the toy box of the next games and as power ups or otherwise in next games playsets depending on what it is like marvel battlegrounds. The characters can be used in some way with playsets maybe going forward it depends maybe like marvel might only let us use marvel in their battle royal game but the playset pieces are only for the game they were made for. FYI the 1.0 characters have limited moves like only 1 punch and kick while 2 and 3.0 characters have a variety of moves making it odd to go backwards to 1 be rather easy gameplay. Anyway short answer is if you put a 1.o playset with a 3.0 game running it won't recognize it. Anything else likely will recognize it going forward and the toy box always will going forward. The 1.o playset in 3 would have been a cool thing for them to allow though likely require some coding they didn't want to do. Maybe someone can hack it in.

It's all in game no nothing just a pc to play. Be sure to look up the keyboard short cut keys, layout since the game doesn't provide any instructions.

Buy it for console. Hope Disney re-release the game with it all. Peter Pan has a working mod and a few other mods hacks been made look up that brown bats and others channel video content in the meantime. The Marvel Battlegrounds is pretty good if you can find it for console. I made a quick video about it.

You buy the game and get everything now. The store was in an older version of the game. No longer available anywhere to buy Disney shut it down and the servers for sharing toy boxes.
