Welcome to the first part of our B2B aboard the Disney Magic! The last time we sailed on the Disney Magic was for my 30th birthday in January 2017. It completed our GRAND SLAM (at the time there were 4 ships). We sailed the newest ship to the oldest - 2013 Disney Fantasy, 2015 Disney Dream, 2016 Disney Wonder, 2017 Disney Magic. I just remember feeling so fascinated to be on the ship that started it all!
We've always wanted to sail on the Magic again and 2023 was the year. It felt especially fitting since Disney Cruise Line celebrates 25 years. I feel so incredibly blessed that we got to sail on the Disney Wish in January and then sail on the Disney Magic. The newest and the oldest in the same year! That wasn't our intention (our Wish cruises were supposed to be summer 2022) but as the saying goes, everything happens for a reason.

I'm so used to sailing out of Port Canaveral and knowing what to expect there that I felt a little unsure about how smooth the process out of the New Orleans port would be... I'm happy to report it was Easy Peasy. We got aboard the ship at about 11:30 AM and started our day at Lumiere's for lunch! There we met with our concierge hosts (Kemisha, David, and Fabiola) to review our plans.
