The only problem with Treasure planet is that outside 2 protagonist and villain, the side characters aren't that good especially that annoying robot in first half, the way he speaks almost ruined it for me
Following the argument of the lack of good side characters, the book had good side characters in my opinion! Their interactions made me smile at times and they were pretty charming, but in the movie some of these characters were either gone, or what they did to Dr. Livesey... he went from being the voice of reason (and honestly such a king) to some random pathetic science dude, it honestly makes me think it would've been better to just take him out of the story entirely. And then Ben is so annoying in the movie, I felt that in the book he was more of a lonely, kind of insane but good guy, while in the movie he was just a loud comic relief. But I feel those might be just nitpicks as someone who loves the book, lol. At least John, while being kind of a different character compared to his book counterpart, was really good, and even if I prefer the original Jim, I'd say changing his personality was a great decision! It's just the other ones that are... meh.
The fact dude that the incredibles, Toy story 3, hunchback of notre dome isn’t s and beauty and the beast and lady and the tramp isn’t a but the incredibles 2 is in a tier makes me so sad
I know, right? The Incredibles 2 suck. Tarzan is also waaaaay too high. B tier at best My top 10 would probably be: 1. Rataouille 2. The Incredibles 3. Nightmare Before Christmas 4. Hunchback of Notre Dame 5. The Lion King 6. Beauty and the Beast 7. Monsters, Inc. 8. Mulan 9. WALL-E 10. The Fox and the Hound
yep. If I'd to put a top 10 of Disney movies while counting Hunchback musical edition, then: 1. Hunchback of Notre Dame (musical) 2. Rataouille 3. The Incredibles 4. Nightmare Before Christmas 5. Hunchback of Notre Dame (Disney movie) 6. The Lion King 7. Beauty and the Beast 8. Monsters, Inc. 9. Mulan 10. WALL-E
I still think Toy Story 1 is the weakest of the whole series. Important and still way ahead of its time? Yes. That's as far as it goes for me though. I like all the sequels better, especially 3.
I would've personally put Meet the Robinsons in high A or S, for mostly quote-ablilty and nostalgia, but I do really love the characters in the movie and the animation is very unique, and it was a very sweet movie, unfortunately quite underrated though.
I just wanna live my life! I know that, i just wanted to be part of it! Goofy genuinely tries so hard to be a good father and i adore every effort no matter how cringey they are.
@@calisha1889 especially for the ones who think their dad is trying too hard because in the words of journey 2 "Isn't is the worst when they try too hard?" "No, it's the worse when they don't even try at all."
Sword in the stone is A. As an English person it was amazing to watch a movie that parallels English folklore that you learn about as a kid. Also there’s a wizard vs witch duel. Loads of plausible within the story magic and merlin calls quits and fucks of to Bermuda towards the end. So epic.
The Incredibles should be S tier for the story and the soundtrack SLAPS, and Monsters Inc is S tier for comedy and the story is fantastic dont @ me lmao
@@xavierdurham1024 No wait, in Aristocats there was a Siamese cat playing the piano with chopsticks, and it had the large teeth too, cant make this shit up 💀
I like these tier lists alot.they should do them all kinds of things ..like brands of batteries, stuff at Costco, land before time movies, brands of boxers shorts,ect..lol
Nightmare before Christmas being Number 1 makes complete sense with my fantasy. Alice in Wonderland should be S Tier tho considering how iconic the concept is and how many times it has been adapted in different styles.
You guys need to give Meet the Robinsons a re-watch. I'll admit the "weird" factor goes a tad over the top at times, but the heartfelt moments are *really* heartfelt, and the comedy is surprisingly fresh. The storyline about adoption and found family and Lewis being accepted and loved is especially wonderful, and the main message of learning from failure is so so important. This movie is also special because the director, Stephen J Anderson, is adopted himself and actively pushed to direct the film because he identified so much with the main character. You can really feel that this was a true passion project that he poured his heart and soul into, and it's a shame it tends to be so underrated and forgotten. There are lots of things to love about the movie despite its shortcomings (a lot of which have to do with the fact that a whopping 60% of the film had to be scrapped and re-worked midway through production). It deserves to be higher than C tier!
Home on the Range is a sleeper hit. I loved it and the voice actors did amazing. Jennifer Tilly as the simple cow was awesome. Definitely more of a southern style movie. I think you guys missed The Frog Princess. That one was amazing. Set in Louisiana with a terrifying villain.
How can you say Pinocchio is not memorable? The whale? When the boy turns into the donkey? You can say a lot about Pinocchio but not memorable is not one of those things, that shit is burned into my minds eye.
I grew up in the 90s but Snow White and Pinocchio were my favourites so personally, I find it sad how meh their reactions are to those movies. And they obviously have a heavy bias for more modern late 90s onwards Disney movies. But I did also love James and the Giant Peach as a kid and Aladdin.
The black cauldron is one of the most underrated Disney movies maybe the most underrated Disney movie ever and it did the worst financially but I love it so much the dark elements and everything about it is so good to me.
Id say in order my top 5 are 1. nightmare before Christmas 2. ratatouille 3. Toy Story 4. Moana 5. Inside out I've yet to watch soul but frim what I've heard it may take the inside out spot for me ngl
I’m sad they didn’t put frozen and tangled higher. I mean, at least frozen. The first one had heart man. The second was utter trash. What the hell even was the plot of Frozen 2? Such a darn shame because I really wanted to love, but I couldn’t follow the blimpwreck at all. The second one is worse than a trainwreck, it doesn’t deserve to be called it. It deserves to be called a blimpwreck, lol.
I had the original Aladdin on VHS and I remember replaying the scene where Aladdin enters the princess’s room and the tiger growls at him, and he says “Good teenagers, take off your clothes”. They have the genie talking over it, so ya don’t even realize he says it unless you turn it up real loud lol. Disney is so perverted lol
@@logansymmes2193 I don’t have a working VHS player anymore, but I did find this link with it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1QYYOuQGEp0.html
I agree a this list, I would say I liked Zootopia more then princess frog( I liked the music more in Princess frog, but I think Zootopia had a better overall story.)
I highly recommend you rewatch Treasure Planet its one of my all time favorites. That could be bias bcs the story is very close to my life...but hey re-watching wouldn't hurt right? ^^
