They're not even maintaining what they have in the Parks well NOW and more people are noticing how dirty and run-down many of the attractions are now. The Parks have NO PLANS to redevelop and put in new attractions because the money isn't there to do anything new! Disney is already losing a TON of business to Universal which IS redeveloping its theme parks and expanding all the time. Nintendoland at Universal is going to take a HUGE bite out of Disneyworld and Disneyland. Kids today are MUCH more familiar with the Nintendo characters than the classic Disney characters. The Nintendo characters appeal to both boys and girls across multiple age groups; Disney is mainly known for princess characters that appeal to pre-teen girls and women with arrested development = that's a very limited market. Even with immense disposable income of the princess puffs, it doesn't match the wider appeal of the Nintendo characters. Videogames have been the biggest sector of entertainment for over 2 decades now, more than 3 generations! ** Disney is NOT in good shape. They're over $70billion in debt (low-ball estimate; it's higher than that, probably closer to $90billion) which will take DECADES to pay down if they survive, most of that from buying Fox Studios which they have NOT mined well for new ideas. They've lost nearly $1billion over the last year in theatrical revenue, and the streaming servicing (Disney+ alone) loses at least $1billion per year if not per quarter!!! I see more unsold crap from ALL of Disney's entertainment divisions (Lucasfilm, Marvel, Pixar, Disney itself) in stores. A lot of the film merch has been going straight to liquidation on film release. They could NOT get rid of the action figures and playsets for the last 6-8 Marvel films alone!!! Star Wars as a toy brand is basically dead and the only Star Wars merch that moves is more adult stuff (model kits, LEGOS) based mainly on the original 1977-1983 trilogy of movies. More people with discretionary income are passing on Disney including many big-spending FORMER Disney fans. They may be a minority but they spent a LOT more money than the average clueless consumer who has no idea of what Disney has been doing with inserted political messages into their TV and film product for over a decade now. Unfortunately for Disney, many parents HAVE also noticed (finally!) and are pulling support for the Company. When Disney loses the families, that's it for them! That was their CORE CUSTOMER base but they gave it up for broke, woke millennials and mindless TikTokkers.

There was a time I mourned for Disney. Saddened to see what it has become. For generations, mine, my folks & there folks grew up with the Disney brand. I spend my vacations in Disneyworld in 2010, i was 22, it was the best vacation in my life, now never more in my life.

I'm 73 and can remember the last time I was at Disney World with my son who was 9 at the time, and now if he was still alive would be 39😢, and when you walked through those gates there was a magical feeling in the air. I remember feeling like all the cares in the world had been lifted. We lived in New Orleans at the time so my best friend ( who's daughter was 11 at the time) planned our trip during Mardi Gras, which fell in February that year, so the weather was perfect at Disney World, no long lines, and we had 8 days of fun. We had saved for a year for this trip so we flew into Orlando, rented a car so we could hit Universal Studios a couple of days, stayed on the grounds, which back then gave us a lot of extra perks. It was absolutely wonderful!! Today you couldn't give me a free ticket! I started boycotting Disney when Johnny Depp was fired and then they started going woke. No way would I take a young child there now nor would I take my children if they were still young, to see any of their movies. It's a shame that Disney has come to this place, and as Megyn's guest said, I hope the wait time in line goes to 2 seconds!

I hear you. As a child in Canada, we didn't have anything like Disneyland. We watched The Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday night -- the one with the opening fireworks over the Magic Castle. It was beyond a dream for us to go there, but the modest motor trips we took gave us plenty of fun -- and allowed my parents to save for our education. About 20 years ago, I did make it there. I found it to be a little shabby -- like looking at an old, dusty Masterpiece. But, when Princess Ariel paraded past, and the fireworks were set off over the Castle, I cried. I couldn't help it: It was like a dream come true from my childhood. It's an outrage that they're turning childhood dreams into perverted nightmares.

You are great parents. Disney visits are eventually forgotten but an education can mean a lifetime occupation.

My older daughter & family just got back from visiting cousins in California for a week vacation. Decision was made to go to Knott’s instead of Disneyland primarily because it was a fraction of the price, wait times were almost nonexistent, and they all had a wonderful time. Going to Disney for even 1 day would have taken most of their vacation budget. I grew up watching Wonderful World of Disney on Sunday evenings in the 60s but I’m done with Disney now. Walt is spinning in his grave.
