Don't remind me of what happened to Volta-X, which was a Nintendo Switch exclusive from GungHo Online. I am sure it didn't even have microtransactions, but they didn't even make it playable offline after end of service.

@@abdieljove2011Well, I think Squenix owns Sora as well as the original bits of Kingdom hearts, going off of his inclusion in smash bros ultimate having the references to disney characters removed, as well as him being obtainable via a limited time event in Final Fantasy Record Keeper, that also being on mobile. If Sora were to somehow be playable in Disney Pixel rpg, this wouldn't be his first mobile live service RPG rodeo. ...Oh, and KH union cross but idk if he makes an appearence there besides outfit customization and being shown in the game's attack medals.

@@garulouie As far as I can remember, I think there was some old interview with Nomura or something that stated KH original characters are owned by Disney. I think Disney is Judt less protective of them. And aren’t too interested in the IP beyond letting Square do their thing and making money. There was a scrapped KH cartoon in early stages of development for Disney Channel once though. I don’t think it ever got beyond early, early stages though.

This game will last at least one year. To be honest this game looks like garbage. A cheap, quick cash grab. If I a wanted to play a real game, a good game with Disney characters, I would go play the kingdom hearts games. Because those are 1000s of times better than this junk.

This is giving strong Final Fantasy Brave Exvius vibes from the art style to it also being a 5 man party system plus 1 friend unit. With FFBE shutting down on Global soon this might be a good substitute.

So, is the premise supposed to be that various groups of characters are from different game worlds? That sort of excuses the different resolutions between them, but why do the lamps in the hub world look like they were supposed to be much smaller?

I can't with this. Were all the characters designed by a different person? How come there's no consistency to the art style? And no, the ages of the characters don't excuse it. Look at freaking Baymax. And even the backgrounds have this problem. There was no effort put into this. I'd be surprised if some of this stuff isn't AI generated.

Yeah the pixel sizes are blatantly inconsistent, which is a BIG no-no in pixel art

Because they’re all from different games, so the number of pixels each character has matches up with the game they came from. For example, the Pocket Adventure characters have less pixels because their game series is from around the GameCube era, while DJ Mickey is from a game that’s from a more modern era and therefore has the most pixels at this point in time.

This game hasn’t come out yet, but I already love it! I hope they include Chiro, Jinmay, the Monkey Team (Antauri, SPRX-77, Mr. Hal Gibson, Otto, and Nova), Skeleton King/the Alchemist, Mandarin, Valeena, and other characters from SRMTHFG! (Super Robot Monkey Team HyperForce Go!). I know this show was a Jetix original series, but it was a collaborative effort with Disney.

This is the kind of Disney crossover RPG that I’ve wanted, traditional turn based and separate from KH. Just wish it was a console game instead of an iOs Gacha game, but still looking forward to it.

I'm not gonna lie while this looks interesting I feel like it's just gonna be seen as a kingdom hearts knock off even the enemies just feel like bootleg heartless. I'm willing to give it a shot but I wouldn't be surprised if many just say they'd rather play kingdom hearts and not give this the time of day.
