Rapunzel is more interesting as a heroine, I think because she turned out to be more alive and perhaps 3D played a significant role here, especially since it was something new and thats why many people also liked the cartoon itself more. It is unlikely that racism played any role here, because neither Mulan nor Pocahontas nor Aladdin stopped them from becoming very popular cartoons. The characters there, despite being 2D, are also very lively and their design is well thought out. and what wonderful music there is. I don’t think that The Princess and the Frog is a bad cartoon, but still, in my opinion, it was underdeveloped.

I think it's really funny that in the commercial for Rapunzel in the tower they didn't have any finished screengrabs of the movie ready so they just used concept art with their respective dates still there and all.
just a suggestion, and yes I am a dude that loves both boy and girl toys, these included, but back then, I was always into the toys that would have any music or sound to them. you think you could do a compilation of those from all sides?

Like they were in ralph breaks the internet and in ultimate princesses celebration and many more stuff related to the disney princesses like their videos are part of disney princesses official you tube page .
Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Tiana, Moana don't have much spotlight until today for some -racists- reasons. 🤔 Unfortunately I already read or watched brown, latina, asian or black persons attacking Disney live-actions for versions with no white european actress and it's pretty sad like Halle Bailey in Little Mermaid version (I lost some black friendships for support the movie while them wanted a white ginger europe actress calling the picked one ugly) or Snow White soon with a white girl, but a latina one, playing the character, although wait until Moana actress being revealed and she is not an polynesian native, majority will fall in love and don't talk about it. The doll from 20:52 I never saw this here in Brazil even with a lot afro cultures and stories, just the 5 seconds commercial version together other princess commercials like Tangled Rapunzel starring or something, the same happened with Disney Princess and Me by Jakks Pacific and you can see them swapping the black doll for other from second wave.

Maybe you shouldn’t look for racism in everything. Yes, this used to be the case, but now the trends are different and there is much less racism. and I think that you shouldn’t go to extremes either. for example, I didn’t like the new little mermaid at all not because of the color of her skin, although of course, considering that this is still a remake of the Disney version, it is not surprising that people expected similarities in appearance, but for me, again, this was not so important, even though the appearance of the little mermaid from the original Disney cartoon I really like it and don’t like the appearance of the dark-skinned actress and racism has nothing to do with it. Wow you could tell Cinderella was popular because she was marketed the most she was like the queen of the princesses up until Elsa from frozen dethroned Cinderella.
Stop looking for racism in everything. There are plenty of advertisements with the princesses you mentioned. and also why have you never thought about the fact that perhaps some princesess are more popular and racism has nothing to do with it. I’m not saying that there is no racism, but looking for it always and in everything is simply stupid and absurd.
By the way, the cartoon Aladdin, as well as Mulan and Pocahontas, enjoyed enormous popularity a long time ago, and I myself, when I was little, enjoyed watching it, and now I am already 30 years old. if there really was as much racism as you and your like-minded people claim here in the comments, then firstly such cartoons would not have been made at all and secondly they would never have become popular and loved by many.
