One of the cool things about WDW is if you want to just have a chill day or of the parks, or if it's raining or whatever, you can easily spend an entire day just exploring the resorts. We would always do that at least one day while on vacation.
I stayed here when I was 5. I just went back December of 2019, but couldn't stay at this lodge this time. I wanted to watch this to remember to back when I was 5. Every 10 seconds I was like "oh I remember that" and am having a massive nostalgia trip. Thank you so much
Helen Bain Niw that I am here, it really is incredible. Even got lucky and scored fastpasses for pretty much all major rides, including Seven Dwarfs on the day and Navi River Journey. Magical!
Once you guys finish the resort tours, you should do a video where you rank them by your favorites. Or by which resort is best for each occasion (family vacation, honeymoon,...etc.) Love you guys, your videos make me so happy!! :)
I honestly believe Animal Kingdom lodge is the best resort at WDW in terms of theming and dining. Despite my home resort being Old Key West. It just seems that there is always something to do at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Tim is correct. They have kid activities at that gold medallion at the entrance. Love this resort and recommend it to new and old Disney vacationers.
I was there during the hurricane, we were so well looked after by the cast members and the resort allowed big discounts in the restaurants during the hurricane! I was very impressed with Disney with how they entertained the kids in the lobby ! Nothing was too much they made it magical !
My favorite! Giraffe lover! Been there many times. I have explored every nook and cranny on my scooter of there large wrap around hallways that enclose the savannas including the fire escapes, which by the way you can see the animals out there too. If you go down the hallways at Jambi House there are big picture windows to view the animals as well as two other lookouts. I hope to go again someday. Thank you Tim &Jenn for all you do! -SHELLEY
My two favorite Resorts for exploring are absolutely, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Wilderness Lodge, There is just so much to explore. The interesting thing is that the two were designed by the same architect apparently!
My mom and I stay here a lot. We only stay at the Jambo House. It is such an amazing hotel :-) I remember the first time I stayed here when my mom surprised me for my birthday. I always loved waking up to animals outside my room everyday and I love the music they play. Thank you Tim for the video tour...your the best. Tons of love to you and Jenn :-)
I remembered this hotel fondly when I was a young kid. Got the worst sunburn on my friggen ankles when we went to Daytona beach one day. Kept getting woken up at like 3 am. These huge cranes kept squawking at the antelopes coming by to find some water. It was such a cool and relaxing resort otherwise and those rooms were so cozy.
This is the one and only deluxe I've stayed at and it was so unforgettable. The AP discount last spring made it possible and I would love to get the chance to again. Such an incredible time and it make me so happy to see you tour it!
My favourite thing about this video is how excited you got over the baby ducks 😂😂 I'm staying here for 14 nights in November and I've never been more excited 😭 xx
Ah! This is my family’s all time favorite resorts! We’re DVC members we made it our home resort and everytime we go we ALWAYS stay at the kidani village resort! Very friendly people and beautiful and great views definitely recommend either of these hotels. We stayed at jambo once or twice and it was just as great! Also on our last trip to Disney (July 2017) it was really stormy in the afternoons and after it would rain all the fun and zebras would come out and rub in the puddles and play! It was so cute!
We had a couples massage here on our honeymoon last may. You check in inside the gym but there are rooms secluded to the rear. Pure bliss for an hour....... well worth it.
I've really been enjoying your resort tours Tim. I of course love the park vlogs but it's neat seeing the peripheries. I know those who might be planning vacations probably really like them also.
Staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort in a couple of weeks for the first time! Thanks for elevating my excitement level to an 11!! It is a beautiful, thorough tour and greatly appreciated!
The best part about this video was watching it with my 9-yr old daughter and we laughed so hard when Tim spotted the baby ducks!! Oh man, we laughed so hard that our sides were hurting. We even went back and watched it an additional 2 times!! Just hilarious and so adorable! I loved this video, it definitely made me want to check out this resort for future stays! Thanks Tim
I love these resort tours. It's like I'm there myself!!! Boy do savanna views and palm trees sound nice right about now...... (says the Canadian, from under her blanket, looking out the window at 10 cm of snow)
I will be at the animal kingdom lodge in a few days! I can't wait!!! I love that place so much and the food at Sanaa is the best. Jumbo house is fantastic. Best place ever.
That bus directory brings back memories of Christmas Day trying to get to Hollywood Studios after dinner on my final night of vacation. We tried uber and the whole parking lot was gridlock didn’t move for 30 min we hopped out of the uber and went to the busses all of the buses were in traffic so we hopped on the first bus we saw that took us to a resort. We then took the bus to Hollywood studios only 30 min before closing 3 hour nightmare
I purchased a bamboo plant with a little giraffe planter on our last visit. They box it quite well and I just carried it on the plane for our flight home-no problems. Great video-thanks for sharing!
You guys should do the safari tour there if you ever get the chance! You do a tour of the savannah and end it with a family style meal at Jiku, definitely a one of a kind experience. We stayed there and had a balcony overlooking the savannah, it was awesome to wake up and see giraffes and other animals walking around.
I love all of AKL, but Kidani is my favorite! It's so relaxing and feels much more secluded than most Disney resorts. FYI there is a shuttle that runs between the two hotels, so you don't have to walk between them.
33:20 Many of the "pretty palms" all over our fair state are not indigenous, including the ubiquitous Coconut Palm. People used to not care about such things, and frankly neither do I. I'm too spoiled by my childhood spent collecting coconuts off the ground for free. Anyhow, the one they now always plant beside the interstate and state highways is the Sabal palmetto, because it's the state tree (as it is for South Carolina also).
Hi Tim, thank you very much for taking the time to produce this video. It was very informative. I am really looking forward to be staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge this August. Your video has made me even more excited. Keep up the good work!
We totally set aside a day to just hang out at the resort when we head here next month! My biggest regret from our last trip was not saving enough time to enjoy the Yacht Club, that sandy bottom pool was incredible.
As you started down the dead end hallway, I was yelling "No! No! It's a dead end!" I knew this because my daughter and I did the EXACT same thing last December when we were there after eating breakfast at Boma.
I am planning to stay at the Animal Kingdom Resort this december with my fiance, thank you for this! I'm even more stoked after seeing this walkthrough
My sister works for this lodge. One year for my birthday we ate at Boma and then we had a private safari tour of the savannah. Got to wear night vision goggles and the giraffes came right up to us. Not allowed to touch, but so so cool!
My problem with staying at Jambo House (and in the Savanna view rooms) is that we only see the nocturnal animals because we spend the days in the parks! It is really an amazing hotel and great for families if you can afford it. Jiko, the Cooking Place is absolutely delicious. You will need a reservation 7 days a week.
