Never stayed here, but stayed a POP Century numerous times. We have gone to AofA several times for lunch, they had a seafood burger that was incredible, but looks like Disney did what Disney does and got rid of another very popular food item. Disney's "value" hotels are value in name only. Back when the prices were much lower (not to many years ago) and they had free airport transportation, as well as some other perks, you could barely justify a stay at one. At least they are back to free parking. But your value to dollar is so much better at an offsite hotel it really doesn't make good financial sense to stay on-property if you are budget conscious. I guess if you just have to be in the WDW bubble you might be able to convince yourself that it's worth it. Great overview, as always!
Sorry, but, if I’m gonna fork out the cost of an on-site hotel at an Orlando theme park, it’s NOT going to be at a Disney one, anymore…the “value” resorts USED to be an actual Value…while this looks quite wonderful, to be honest, you can get far nicer digs for quite a bit less…Very nice video, as always, Jack! (Nice to learn you share a name with my Dad!)
Another excellent guide, as always. Disney's "value" hotels are shockingly expensive. Any chance of a guide to some of the superb places to stay along I-Drive, at half the price?
The Disney prices have rocketed to ridiculous levels in the last 5 years. For families with young children I can still see the draw, but even then many are starting to stay off site, their budget simply cannot stretch that far.
I agree. And I read that many off site hotels are actually closer to the parks then some of the Disney ones. I just don’t see the point of the high prices. I am sure Walt didn’t expect this when he started the parks. He wanted this to be a place where all families could go. Not anymore!
Would you say the pricing of the Disney refillable mugs are about the same as the universal hotel ones? It sounds like it works the same way…every 2mins. Shame the parks don’t do it too.
Where is guest self parking for art of animations? I can’t find it anywhere. All RU-vid videos I watched give resort tours and free transportation to theme parks. Is it far? I don’t wanna drag my luggage or few more drinks I wanna buy outside of resort. Do u need to take another shuttle or something to the hotel/lobby?
We have ridden buses at CBR and Movies during summer and Christmastime having little issues. The worse part about buses was the bus park location was much longer than deluxe/moderate resorts but we slugged thru. Resorts were worth it to us for the overall experience
Any chance you are doing a pop century video before 26th September? We upgraded From all stars, online check in only allows us to choose 50’s or 70’s section. I was hoping for some advice on which is best. We want to be as close as possible as I have a disability.
Thank you so much for all of your amazing videos. My daughter is your biggest fan. She will be so pleased you’ve posted before we go to Florida next week. 🎢✈️😁
Another great video! Just back from Cabana bay ourselves had a family suite. I do miss Disney though, decisions now for next year... 🤔. Will keep watching your videos for inspiration. Thanks for all the work put into these 👍
@@TheFrugalBrit it was a great experience. I'm thinking about maybe trying Sapphire Falls as something different. We used the water taxi a few times this trip
Anytime someone asks on FB about what property to stay at, I always refer them to your videos. It’s the absolute best walk through every time, no frills, just an honest look and review
Going here for Spring Break with my mom. Can't wait. Was debating between this Retort and POR and learned I can go over there to take photos but can stay in a place that has my favorite movies. Plus the have the Sky Line which is a plus to get to the other parks.
