Join me for a lovely summer afternoon at Disney's Contemporary Resort! We have lunch at Steakhouse 71, and explore the Grand Canyon Concourse, the outdoor areas near Bay Lake, we check out the brand new Disney 2023 Halloween merchandise collection and find SO MANY new and cute designs!! And I share some tips and fun facts about this unique resort that opened here at Walt Disney World in 1971, a very special Monorail resort full of art and history! It's the hottest week of the year so far here in Florida, and exploring WDW resorts is a lovely way to soak in some Disney magic, see what's new, learn interesting facts about the resorts, enjoy good food and drinks, and beat the blazing summer heat! Bonus finding the whole Disney World Halloween 2023 merchandise collection out too, I was blown away! Thanks for hanging out with me! What was your favorite thing?

Jackie we LOVED this video!!! Your Enthusiasm is amazing and contagious. EVERY single time you would *GASP* Kay and I would laugh. I said Sam and I need to take you and Kay shopping. Everytime you guys eye something we'd just put it in the buggy (That's what I have to do with Kay) we'd probably have $500 worth of merchandise and it'd be worth every penny Thanks for taking us along with you

Our Winco here in Southern California has Halloween items and Decorations out already. My daughter said very loudly, "Oh my gosh! Code Orange!" Then she gushed over every item definitely copying you. It was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. ❤

I love this!! I love you love Halloween 🎃 and get excited as do I! That picture spot you mentioned brings back memories. When my parents were living, we would stay at the Contemporary resort. I absolutely love it it. The last trip with my mom there, we took a pic with that metal Mickey outside!! Wonderful memories 💖

I miss the original architecture of the Wave, but I can definitely appreciate that Steakhouse 71 offers a little bit more light than its predecessor. Also, hold on - you're telling me that the five-legged goat was intentional!? 🤯 For literally years now, I have been thinking that it was a beautiful, much-beloved mistake! I do see what the artist was going for, now that you've explained it, but this revelation has literally turned my world upside down. 😂 LOVE seeing code orange make its way to the Disney resorts in full force. The Mickey Pumpkin jersey might be my favorite piece of spooky merch so far. I really like the blue-pink-yellow-black Mickey Pumpkin pattern this year, hope it sticks and becomes recurrent in future spooky seasons! Also never realized that D23 takes place at the Contemporary when it comes to town. Obviously, we still have a lot to learn about the contemporary and the Disney resorts as a whole! Luckily Jackie is on the case 🕵 Great vlog, Jackie. Can't wait for spooky season!

Always loved the Contemporary. I remember when it and the Poly were the only two resorts in WDW. It's all come such a long way since then. However, Halloween in August??? Bit to early for me. But yes, great looking merch. I still wish they would bring back the little speed boats for two. They were soooo much fun!

I really think the artwork looks ok it’s fun kids style ❤also the Fantasia Store looks super exciting there’s so much merchandise too there’s Board Games ♟ Puzzles 🧩 and pins to collect,, they even have Disney Princess dolls as Morden classed that so interesting too 😂 I do think that theres so much to choose About the Ears Collection the Mickey Pumpkin eats are nice as well has the Hocas Pocas ears they are nice too ❤❤ definitely excited for all of it

Those Mickey plushies 🎩and the stitch plush looks so adorable 🥰🎃🍂with their Halloween costume also the Mickey pumpkin 🎃 basket looks so nice too it’s good for kids to collect lots of Candy 🍬 when they trick or treat!!! Also the Mickey Pumpkin Pillow is so nice too 🎃🧡🖤,, and the charcoal hat that says boo 😂super adorable the Mickey pumpkin cap 🧢 looks nice,, the merchandise tour looks nice Jackie (❤❤❤) the contemporary resort is one of my fave here’s so many floors and you can take the monorail 🚝 to Magic Kingdom easily 🏰🏰

My daughter is going to Disneyland with her boyfriend at the beginning of September, will have to put in my "order" for a souvenir! First thing, let's talk about the squirl moment as you approached the 4th floor Lol, Halloween merch in full effect! I must have heard at least 20 gasps lol, I need this..and this..oh, and this too! 😂 I love the excitement and shopping! 😁The Contemporary is an amazing resort. The uniqueness of it and the Mary Blair touches are just super cool. There're no other resorts like it. Steakhouse 71 is on my list, especially after seeing the French Onion Soup alone! The menu looks fantastic, and I can't wait to try it out hopefully soon 😋

So excited. We are staying at Bay Lake Tower next spring for the first time. Eaten breakfast & dinner at Steakhouse 71 and was underwhelmed by the food & the decor. Framed photos isn't theming. They have done something similar in Carousel Coffee at the Boardwalk. So disappointing. Thank you for this wonderful tour and your reviews. Your videos are informative & fun. 👏🏾

Love Contemporary, cant afford to stay there tho. I think the photo gallery in Steakhouse 71 could do with some descriptions 6:10 Mickey Cloud. Perhaps a playful kitten directly underneath. I love the gasps of awe and the amount of willpower needed to resist purchases. We all do it😂

We always have off days on our vacations and do resort hopping and shopping and rid different transportation. It's lots of fun. This year on our trip in Nov, we are going to see Yehaa Bob show at the New Orleans Riverside. Have you ever seen his show? I have only seen it on RU-vid. Can't wait. You and you husband should go if you have never been. His shows are Wed thru Sat I believe 8:30pm-12 or 12:30am. I looked it up on line. I forget the name of the lounge though.

I'm a graphic designer so I'm always critiquing Disney's merch when I visit the parks 🤣They did a really good job on the design style and color palette for their Halloween merch this year.

I do the same thing, haha. I concur, they did an amazing job this year. I love their color scheme and style of the Mickey Pumpkin they used on the pillow and backpack.
