Excellent video. Your videos are the best Disney videos I have seen on you tube. And i have watched a ton ... Please keep doing them. They truly are Excellent thank you
My favorite trivia was when Disney was planning It's a Small World, he wanted to gild the facade with gold leaf. His financial advisers told him that that would be ludicrously expensive. so, in a baller move, when Disney was alone, he made the call to gild the spires and and walls.
I am a HUGE Disneyland fan! In fact I even married the former longest-serving Mouseketeer in the MMC three series. Used to collect the discarded ticket books left by tourists as a kid. Mom and I would pay the min entry price and ride free all day. Mowed lawns each week in summer so that on the weekend I could blow my fortune at Disneyland. And even as an adult, I was stationed in So Cal, so purchased the highest level annual passes. Went 23 times that year. LOVE your videos and the solid information you provide. Really, an excellent job. Oh..the Mouseketeer and I have since annulled, but for a minute, I had the best Disney keepsake ever!
When you are walking across the bridge through the castle into Fantasyland. If you turn around you will see a clock up on the ceiling hanging down. The clock is not moving. It is stopped at the time of Walt Disney's death.
That was a great video. Thanks so much I really enjoyed it.The first time I went to Disneyland I was two years old in 1966. Disneyland has made so HAPPY over the years with all the different friends and family I have gone with. I hope to live to 91 years old so I can be there for the 100th anniversary.
I really like your videos... the mix of personal adventure filming and not editing out all your mistakes on top of the abundance of fact and side knowledge is spot on wonderfully unique!!! Thank you
6:54 Love the lady listening in on ur fun fact, hilarious! Awesome video as usual! Thanks for sharing this fun af video, so far this is my favorite of ur videos ! 👍👍👍👌🏼😉✌🏼Like 296
8:34 The last time I went to Disneyland, these guys were playing their instruments on the carousel. It was a beautiful thing to behold while waiting in line for Peter Pan.
On my last visit my son was going to ride the Julie Andrews horse (Jingles, I think) but we couldn't because the band from Mary Poppins (the one in the video) ride it instead! It was a blast having them play the music for us.
I came to the comments especially to find this comment. It's called le pays des contes de fées - the land of fairy tales. You go into the Aladdin lion cave instead of the whale.
Hey, Chris! I knew the backstory of the HM as i watched the imagineer documentary on D+. I did not know about the Candleman! Thank you for catching him on video! What a great tribute to a wonderfully creative person, Rolly Krump, RIP.
Sir you are very gifted at this. FANTASTIC information, always seems that all your videos include MORE than I've heard anywhere else before regarding Disneyland details, trivia and interesting facts. GREAT presentation just wonderful to watch and listen to. Please keep it up and thanks for doing these!
Thank you so so much for the tours and the cool trivia..I am a radio programmer and often while I am working, I watch these vids...feels like I've already traveled there....well done!!
The three lion crest on Sleeping Beauty's Castle isn't Disney's crest, but is Richard the Lionheart's crest. JustinScarred talks about this myth in one of his videos.
I love your videos! Did you know that on top of the mushroom by the Alice and Wonderland attraction, there used to be a caterpillar. They took it down and replaced it with the book we see today. But right when you are coming down to the teapot scene you can see the caterpillars blue feet.
I have fallen in love with your videos!! They are so interesting and are very educational, me and my friend are going back to Disneyland and we've learned so much from your video!!!
Amazing video! I'm a huge Disneyland fan and I'm so interested in learning about my favorite theme park. Really great presentation on Fantasyland! I definitely learned some really fascinating information.
Agreed with the description..there's a VERY good reason why, too, it's fantasti-ical..(even though a few of my favorite attractions aren;t even IN Fantasyland!)..
I got stuck on it’s a small world in the middle of exiting the tunnel (right under the speaker) when it was almost closing time. Stuck for so long listening to small world on loop over and over and over and over and over. When I got home I swear the song was still playing my dreams
The Dumbo ride trivia is blowing my mind! I love your channel. I’ve learned a lot and happy to say some things I had already known. Can’t wait to visit Disney again. Thanks for the great content!
I hadn't seen this video yet and definitely learned some things. Love your videos and being able to share tidbits of information with friends and family!
I know this video was made 3 years ago but, I was surprised that he didn’t include that on the King Arthur Carousel when he was talking about the murals of Sleeping beauty. He didn’t include that there were murals of sleeping beauty and sleeping beauty has nothing to do with King Arthur which he included in his Disney Land full tour and trivia video!
I thought I was a Disneyland expert until watching your videos! Love them and I am excited for my next trip to see all the new little treasures I have missed
WHAT??? I thought I had seen most of your videos and here is an amazing one that slipped right on by. That is not acceptable!!! I love all those rides but didn't know a lot of that trivia. Thanks Chris.
I remember my first time going to Disney Land, I live in the Midwest so I've been to Disney World a lot, but Disney Land was awesome! I loved everything about it!
You may have mentioned it in one of your videos but something a lot of people don't know is the firework show can be seen in front of It's a small world with the castle projections being shown on the small world building! Not as epic BUT not nearly as crowded!
Really enjoy your channel. I've been at Disney van for many years and I've also worked at the park. I thought I knew most things. And you have taught me so much. Keep up the good work.
Great video! I believe The castle is actually backwards because the model fell off the table as Walt was entering the room and Imaginaires put it on the table backwards but Walt actually liked it that way
I’ve gone to Disneyland over 100 times but I don’t think I’ve ever been on Casey Jr. Or the Peter Pan ride but that’s probably going to change soon because I just got hired in Fantasy land :)
So I love your videos. Thank You. I just wanted to correct you but the Alice in Wonderland ride is the only one in any Disney Park. Other parks have mazes (Paris and Shanghai). Also the Storybook Cruise can be found at Disneyland and Paris
My Six Favorite Things at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California: It's a Small World (Attraction, 1966-Present), Disney Afternoon Avenue (Land of Disneyland Park, 1991-1992), Parade of the Stars (Parade, 2000-2005), Believe...There's Magic in the Stars (Fireworks Spectacular, 2000-2004), Disney Princess Fantasy Faire (Show, 2006-2012) and 90's Nite (Disneyland After Dark, 2019)
My 3 year old son was looking for you this past week, we had to tell him we just missed you. Have you ever noticed that the storybook whale opens and closes its eyes & sprays water out of its spout? Never knew that til the other day.
Ok, back in `72 my 3 brothers and I would spin the tea cups at DL as fast as possible and it was incredible. Also, I agree, Mr. Toads is amazing and Crazy.
Pinocchio is my favorite fantasy land ride. Ever since I was a kid. What scares me is there is always rumors that they are gonna replace it. I will be so sad if they ever do.
When i was a kid, my dad used to work at disneyland as a janitor. My family probably got stuck on almost half of the rides by time my dad stopped working there, most notably, Small World. I'm pretty sure i got stuck on that ride longer than he did. I was on that ride for almost an hour and a half. What's even worse is that there was no in-show-exit!
Only one row of horses was white originally. These were the lead horses so the operator could count how many rotations it did so everyone could get the same ammount before it was computerised. If you want to ride on the lead horses it is the row that had walts fav, jingles.
Please do a ride through of storybook land and point out all the stories and their secrets. My son and I ride and the narrator talks so fast our eyes can’t keep up.
Richard the lionhearted is actually the crest on the castle. The Disney crest was actually inside of the Sword shop that is no longer there. Cast member don't always know everything. Some of them don't even know what a roastie toastie! If you look up Justin Scarred he did a video on this. Also the Skull in Pirates is not real.
In the Small World ride of this Anaheim Disneyland's Fantasyland, Colombia does not present in the South America section of the ride; the countries existing are: Mexico, Guatemala, Chile, Argentina, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil.
In the South America room of Small World ride, Bolivia is represented by a boat on Lake Titicaca in the Andes Mountains scene, Brazil is the carnival dancers on Copacabana beach, Chile is the glacial stage with dancing penguins, Argentina is a man with a cowboy (gaucho) costume playing his guitar sitting on a donkey beneath the Andes Mountains scene, Peru is represented by a boy playing a flute and a llama.
I'm really late to this video, but I'm wondering when you got stuck on Small World, as I did too, also for a half hour, and they shut the music off! This would have been...2010, or 2011?
