Fort Wilderness is dear to our hearts too. When my wife and I left CA in August of 2022 with our travel trailer in tow, FT was our one week reward. Fast forward and now I'm a MK Watercraft pilot for a year and a half, and when I dock everyday at the fort it's a reminder of YOLO!
There’s something special about Fort wilderness. It gives off those amazing feeling of comfort and peace of mind that no other resort gives off. You almost forget it’s a Disney resort.
We love the Fort! We've stayed on the 1400 & 1500 loops in our Coleman travel trailer. Chilling on Clementine's beach with coffee in the AM or at night for fireworks is my favorite. Happy Anniversary!!! 🥂
Happy Anniversary guys !! 🎊 Hope y’all had a wonderful time. It’s so sad to see the cabins go, I don’t see myself being a fan of the new “Tiny homes” replacing the cabins. But we’ll be there the first week of May, wonder if they’ll have one you can tour without sitting through the DVC spill lol?
This is a sad day for my family. Took our three kids there when our youngest was only a few months old….fast forward to today….she is now 32 and we still go there as a family, but not to the cabins. It was a joy to let my husband and the older two kids go to the parks as their younger sister and I would walk the trails, or should I say I walked, she was snug in her stroller, and enjoyed the slower pace there. Things change, but I will always feel a rustic update my have been preferable.

Your canoe ride looked amazing. I went horseback riding there & it was so much fun. I love Fort Wilderness. We usually take the boat over there from Magic Kingdom in the middle of the day for lunch & adult beverages 😊

Unfortunately never stayed there, but was fortunate enough to go to Hoop DeeDoo Revue, which was sooo much fun! We were close to the front and my husband, was fortunate enough to get the brunt of the jokes! lol! We also enjoyed the food, especially the fried chicken and strawberry shortcake for dessert. I like how you could get refills of your drink of choice and I believe pitchers of drinks as well. Anyway, I can remember we took a carriage ride ( my husband, son and myself), then walked along the beach, while waiting for the show to start. Wonderful memories! It was nice to see your canoe ride and your dinner looked delicious! Thank you for taking us along on for your anniversary celebration, it was a blast to watch.
Travis I hope that Stagg shirt is easier to get than the bottles LOL. Been starting a bourbon collection..loving rare breed at the moment. Happy Anniversary yall!
They do not fit the area. It almost feels like Disney is trying to get rid of the fans that have kept them going all these years. They got rid of the only restaurant that was fun, great buffet and their employees were awesome. Now they are extremely over priced and not as nice.

Wow wow! I wish i knew about s'more rentals! We rented a golf cart from disbey & it broke down! And we had a baby with us!! Terrible. Great video & recommendation 👍

We just recently went to Disney from Georgia and we seen a truck hauling a cabin. Was so cool but I’m wondering what they’re going to do with them. It would be neat if they auction them. Can you imagine e owning a Disney cabin lol
Just so you know Hope that they do have a 2 piece fried chicken meal on the menu. It is unfortunately on the Egg allergy menu. I believe it comes with cornbread and mashed potatoes and gravy for $10.49.😊
At $448 to $872 a night for a cabin x 365 nights, means each cabin turns-over roughly $163,520 to $318,280 a year. Multiply this by the number of cabins, and all cabins at the resort turnover anywhere from $65M and $127M per annum in revenue, or around $1B per decade. Quick, buy some cabins LOL
Can you park your car at the cabin and drive everywhere? Are the renovated cabins only for annual pass holders? Do you know what time the movie shows at Fort Wilderness?
They are not keeping any of them. They are replacing one loop at a time. I’m going next month and October to say my final goodbye. Also trying to buy one!
@@JeffGeraldFishing that’s not true. I’m a travel agent. I’ve spoken to Disney myself on multiple occasions to confirm. They aren’t going away forever. Videos like this are making ppl think they are. I have clients staying in several of the old cabins in October ☺️
